third or fourth row back........veronica was wearing gold sandals w/little chains....

while waiting for movie were talking with each other.....

this rocket thing shot from right side to left side, thought was a prank, popping sounds, ashley jumped on top of veronica and fell to floor

Re BBM
This may have been talked about already as I am trying to catch up.

I wonder if JH was using Tracer Rounds along with the live ammo.
If so, that would be additional evilness from the monster.

Tracer rounds are special bullets that are mainly to light up the path of fire when firing a gun at night or in the dark just like the movie theatre would have been dark. They are usually only used by the military and used mainly at night. What the military usually does is put 1 tracer round for every 5 or 6 or more regular rounds.

Then when the person fires the gun whenever a tracer round goes off they can see the path of the firing even in the dark.

The witness describes something that sounds like a tracer round.
And even if you get hit with a tracer round, it would do damage and could kill you like a bullet would because it is still a projectile.

The link below describes them and it sure sounds like what the witness described.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracer_ammunition

ETA: The article says that sometimes people use the whole magazine of tracer bullets. So he could have used entirely tracers to help him aim in the dark. That would be hideous evilness if that is what he did. It proves planning to an extreme.

My heart just continues to break...for the mom who lost two children, and is now paralyzed, for the officer carrying a 6 year old baby with the hope she might live but knowing deep down she has left this world, for all the families who just wanted to get out safe and hug each other again, for this sweet little girl who had no choice but to grow up as she watched her little friend pass and had to step over bodies to reach safety. It just isn't fair. No one should ever go through this. No juror should have to see picture after picture of victims killed so senselessly.

First the Boston trial, and now this one, have me feeling like a bad Christian. All I want is for these murderers to cease existing. They don't deserve to share the same air that the survivors of their attacks breath. I just want them gone, and truly have no pity, just hatred for them and their actions. I cannot separate what they did from who they are and see them as a person. I just want them fast tracked to the death penalty. I don't care if he was insane, he had access to medical care and help.

Sorry for the rant but my heart is just hurting for the victims so much.

I know what you mean. These defendants like JH and the Boston Bombing suspect and others that are obviously guilty of the murders just make me sick.

Their crimes are indefenseable. I know our court system is one of the best and I understand fair trials and all but something just doesnt seem right about letting these murderers be able to drag everyone through a huge lengthy trial when it is totally obvious what they did.

I can understand if he wants to plead insanity but maybe the trial should be limited to just trying to prove if he is insane or not.
I see no point in having to make the victims suffer through terrible testimony when everyone knows what this monster did.

I suppose part of the testimony has to be done to prove his planning but it just seems so unfair to the victims.
When there is overwhelming evidence of what this monster did, it seems like there should be some special exceptions in these types of cases to prevent having to make victims suffer through testimony.

I dont have the answers. Just seems so unfair.

At their hearings when JH and the Boston Bombing suspect pleaded "not guilty", I felt like screaming at my TV
"BS!!! You are guilty and you know it. You 🤬🤬🤬 You are a lying fool and you know you are lying. Everyone knows it".

before we get started with court.....i just wanted to say something......

i hope that the little bit of levity i might bring to this thread is not mis-interpreted as that would break my heart.......

i am an old legal junkie from way back, here and in real life and have never disclosed my career and won't now....but believe me i only have the best of well intentions for all victims and defendants and fairness of the law, it is my calling and passion......i find a bit of levity can break the tension and see us through these gut-wrenching cases and it has saved my sanity many a times thru the years....

i mean no disrespect to anyone and pray it is not seen that way....i do these tweets and take down live stream action when i can to help out those with bandwidths issues or those who cannot view court action during the day for whatever the reason and am happy to do so.......

please know i don't take the situation lightly.....i don't.....we all know why we are here as i reflect in my picture of the deceased and saying of the injured and all loved ones of theirs in my prior post......

let justice, whichever legal finding that may be, prevail.....

Good morning all.

Queen, any updates on your son's friend? :praying:

Did anyone find commentary on the jurors questions relating to "were the lights on" etc. I had a thought last night that perhaps one of the jurors is thinking it wasn't attempted murder if he was not actually TARGETING a specific person? A la Oscar Pistorius outcome for those that followed that trial iykwim.

APD Sgt. Specialist Gerald Jonsgaard was about 10 blocks away but said it took him about a minute to get to the theater. He drove at speeds up to 70 mph.

In 2013, Jonsgaard was awarded the Campaign Pin with First Responder Star, Century 16 - Distinguished Service Cross and Century 16 – Life Saving Award by the Aurora Police Department. However, we have never heard his account of the events of that night before today.

Caleb and his family

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/gut-wrenching-survivor-testimony-in-james-holmes-trial/

Holmes, who is being harnessed to the floor by a cable under his clothes, sat quietly. His parents, Robert and Arlene, showed no reaction from their seats in the second row.

Brauchler revealed that two court-appointed psychiatrists concluded that Holmes was sane when he opened fire, chasing moviegoers up and down the aisles and shooting at people who tried to flee.

King countered that Holmes was psychotic at the time, and that every doctor who has seen him - 20 in all - agreed he suffers from schizophrenia.

Sgt. Jonsgaard thought gunman was SWAT officer at first. Found him next to his white car outside #theatershooting @DenverChannel

APD Sgt. Specialist Gerald Jonsgaard said other officers drew their weapons and ordered the man in body armor to put his hands up, that's when he confirmed with other officer that the man was the suspect.

Background info: APD Officer Jason Oviatt: Was the first officer to arrive and one of those who handcuffed Holmes outside the theater along with Officer Sweeney. They took him into custody and asked if anyone else was involved, to which Holmes allegedly replied "it is just me." Oviatt also asked if the address on his license was correct, and Holmes replied that it was but there were bombs with trip wires inside the apartment, according to the arrest affidavit.

Thanks Queen Bee.

It is very much appreciated that you and others take the time to report on this trial. I followed the Travis Alexander case much more closely than I will be able to follow this case so it helps me and others to be able to come here and help learn how the trial is progressing.

On the TA case, it took me a little while to learn that when someone here on the WS threads are just reporting other people's testimony or other tweets or information from media, that it is just a report of what was said and not the poster themselves who has those certain feelings or statements.

Sometimes we do give our opinions, sometimes we just report what we have heard or read about, and sometimes we have to cushion the disaster with some comments that may strike us as a little humorous even in such a disaster like this. I think it is a natural human reaction to sometimes cushion a terrible disaster with a little humor at times. It is a coping tool in order to get through such a terrible ordeal.
Most here that have followed other trials understand all this.

I think it is great to gather as much information as possible for a trial and everyone contributes in different ways. It is what helps make WS so great.

So THANKS TO QUEEN BEE and EVERYONE ELSE here who contributes in their own way.
