I was just starting a post to say 'she thinks she's in a classroom'!! LOL

King feels he needs to educate the jury on schizophrenia, in order for his client not to be accountable for his massacre. It should have been done with a witness who knows how to act in a courtroom. Short, factual statements clearly stated would have been much more effective. It could not have been done with Gur.

Gur notes that the MRI can detect shrinkage in the brain that the human eye can't detect. #theatershooting

Dr. Gur says the gunman's brain measures were compared to 79 'healthy' individuals. There were "several significant differences."
1. The right frontal orbital part of the brain (important for emotional processing) was 3 standard deviation below healthy people.
2. The amygdala (important hub for emotion processing) was 2 standard deviations below average.
3. The right medial frontal lobe is 2 standard deviations below average. anica.padilla

I'm trying to say if JH still thinks about 'human capital' he should never be freed!

If he is indeed schizophrenic, the good Doc says it will always be there.... so yes, he needs to be kept from being out in the world as long as he breathes. If I understood correctly early on in this case, if he does receive NGRI, he must be kept in an institution and not be allowed in public for whatever amount of time. So he doesn't get a walk... That thought keeps me from screaming and getting on the going-to-the-moon bus.

there is some important connection/disconnect re sister. Wish we knew what it is. Not getting the real deal imo

As soon as I posted that, I remembered the Doc say that not everyone wanted to speak with her about JH. It may be that the sister did not want to -- IIRC, Mr. K did not ask why or anymore about her.

But yes, I think there is something there. No doc, as I recall, mentioned JH talking in any detail about his sister, but I could have missed it.
