I have come to understand the term " Furbabies" or Furbuddies"..and as an owner of numerous fur buddies (Dogs) I can attest..that many times these precious animals show far more loyalty than your kids..or in some circumstances a hubby....Animal's have a keen instinct and especially cat's..They will not relinquish their authority unless YOU have achieve total respect by them...Big smile..however they always have their default..retire to their own WORLD!! LOL

Animal's in general speak volume's to the person who cares for them..Their activity too speaks to those boundaries and limitations they accept..BUT IF never expected..THEY ( CATS or DOGS) will never respect your authority...

Sorry Maisie..Just had to express my viewpoint on pet ownership..But I have to say..from your pic's it sure looks like you have that under control!!

I totally agree with you! Blossom is the best friend. She is gentle and loving and respectful! The cat is a whole other story! She thinks she is in charge! She will be friends on her terms. She will be nice if she wants something and completely aloof if she has everything she needs lol! She looks down her beautiful nose at us mere humans. :D

yes, she just said 'it was settled'.
So now, they're claiming she's testified in 2 criminal trials, but then there was no trial.
This is a real mess.:shame:
Now, she just said in another one it was post conviction, testified to judge.

Just mentioned another she testified but it didn't go to trial.

Laufner- she did not testify-it did not go to trial.

Why is King asking these? No criminal testimony in a jury trial.:shame::shame::shame:

My only thought here is that he wants her to testify because she will pronounce the magic "s" word. She's got some credentials, but not like Reid does... She came to those cases prepared to testify, I'm sure -- she prolly wanted to as well -- one more notch on her belt. But it didn't happen.

It's, er, all he's got....

Is it wrong to admit that I'm excited to see what GB does with this witness?

Not at all, my friend (if I may be so bold). I may admit after it that I enjoyed B's flay with Woodcooked more, but I'll wait & see -- maybe because it was so easy for him to strip that poor man down to nuttin' -- Gur may be bit more formidable -- which will make it more interesting.

And he does it in such a classy, classy way... :D

We've earned it.....:please:

Thanks for saying that, zoey! Yes, we have earned it!! I wanted to put that in my response to Maisie, but I (wimp that I yam) didn't have the gutz... :shame:

I wonder if GB will go easy on Dr Gur. He seems to be quite gentlemanly and I wonder if he would risk alienating the jury by going too hard on her.

Mind you, the jury might be excited to see him pull her testimony apart like we are lol!

Did these cases go to trial?

Loughner pled guilty- and I'm not sure about Weston--googled but didn't read :blushing:

I read about Weston -- his case has never gone to trial since he has never been pronounced well enuff to go. He is still in a federal mental hospital.

Some of the most wonderful things about dogs & cats is that they are always excited to see you when you get home (cats don't act like it, but they are...); they will never lie to you; and they always love you, no matter what. Ya can't beat that!

Same thoughts here.

He can tear her words & opinions apart and leave her standing. She's pretty sure of herself, but she isn't where she is in her field by being mean and small-minded, IMO, and Mr. B is the same. He can strip her naked but no one will really notice, all the while taking her down. And they'll both be respected when it's over, but the jury may not buy 5 cents worth of what she's offering. The wild card here is Mr. K -- will we be the first humans ever to see spontaneous human combustion in open court??!!

#theatershooting Dr Gur on the stand. She has been admitted as an expert witness but limited. She found JH legally insane @ time of shooting bbm

Im thinking I don't really care what she found JH to be at this point.

Good Morning WS Friends!
:loveyou:

Arriving early to save my seat for today's testimony of Dr. Gur. I think we'll all be "opining".

It's just dawned on me that we only have a few days left of this trial. What if they don't stream the sentencing phase (if he's found guilty). What will we do?!

All I know is it needs to be over by July 29---

I'm sure I've asked this before but will the sentencing phase being right after the verdict?
