Remote control (used for toys) found by dumpster. If someone had used remote it could have activated the device.

For all the crap he had setup it seems it was an epic failure. So much for his geniousness. LOL

Thank God for that! Can you imagine if his "plans" would have worked out

Witness concluded his opinions before hearing FBI interview. After hearing, JH info was consistent with agent findings

True. But only for the Grace of God...and that neighbor who didn't go inside, and the quick response to the theater shooting. And the fact that a noise complaint wasn't a priority.

I have no doubt this would have done exactly what he planned if someone had tripped that wire. If this had gone off like he intended, the First Responders would have in fact been at his apartment, allowing him to go out to get more guns, or to unjam his AR-15. Which would have allowed him more time to kill more people.

I really wish we could see JH clearly...especially during this type of testimony. OH, to be a fly in his brain!!

Of course, this is all IMO.

I never thought napalm as easy to make--

If I am recalling correctly, he called it Napalm B. It's gasoline and styrofoam. It doesn't sound as nefarious when you hear just the two ingredients! So dang scary!!!

I'm sure the defence will have a host of Pharmaceutical Experts who will go down the list and go on adnauseum ALL about them! Hang tough there Zoey

I think in JH mind he thought he created real "Napalm" because he loved the diabolical aspect of being a mad scientist.

What he was creating was more like just a sticky flammable substances.

Alhtough he did create a good substitute for napalm.

Like using Sterno cans which are like a sticky gel that is flammable that you use when camping to heat up food. You see these also at buffet style restarants to keep food hot under the food.

I am not sure what real napalm has in it but he was close with his mocking of it.
I think real napalm is petroleum jelly substance with flammable liquid mixed in.

The idea is it shoots out of flame thrower and then sticks to surfaces while igniting.

And again, I bet JH was thrilled hearing that!

Why such a long bench trial? I didn't hear why they were having it. Anyone know?

Not sure about that.

But after hearing/reading the transcript of his 38 minute interview with the FBI Bomb Tech...he didn't sound insane to me!

Have you read that Bravo?

OH, and Good Morning, Y'all! Happy Monday...rainy day here! Ready for trial...

Thank you and Queen Bee as well for answering. I read parts but thanks for the reminder to revisit. I'm trying to gather all the evidence (in my head lol) to support he does not qualify as far as an insanity Defense. I think i read/heard somewhere approx. 1% who use this Defense are successful.
