OK...the discussion on TDC just answered a question I posted earlier.

His first purchase was the gas mask, Clear Out and body armor, on May 10, 2012.

It wasn't until June 7th that he failed his oral exam. He bought his AR-15 the same day. And then in continues from there...

So, which came first - the chicken or the egg type situation? Did he fall into a psychosis in late April or early May, and come up with this diabolical plan?

Or did he plan this diabolical situation, and stopped focusing on his school work, that ended up with his failing and ultimately withdrawing?

Y'all may have known this already - and most likely did, because it has been laid out for a long time. I guess I never paid as much attention to the dates...and they make much more sense now that we have gotten to this point in the trial.

I just find it very interesting that he started making purchases, which means the plans were made before that, a month before he actually failed his classes and withdrew from the program!

Wow! I didn't realise he was buying these things before he even failed the exam. This surely cancels out the defence's argument that it was the failure at university that pushed him to do this terrible thing.

And since it was a month later, and he was seen by all of those Professors and Lab Techs, etc...and they have all said he never appeared to change or to act differently than he previously had...IMO, this proves he wasn't in a state of paranoid delusion.

I get he failed. But he went through with the testing. Hard to believe he was in the throws of a personality shift or a different personality for over a month...and no one picked up on it!! I don't think it is a stretch for any of us here to imagine that he wasn't focusing on his school work and presentation when he was engaged in his very elaborate plan!

This timing really proves a lot, IMO!

yes, they also said that even tho he bought the rifle the same day he failed the exam- he was NOT notified that day that he failed. Remember prof said that they emailed after. I say plans were months before the 1st purchase.

I haven't seen any evidence thus far that shows him to be anything other than a calculating and evil murderer. Obviously we have a lot of testimony to go. Who knows what we will learn.... but so far I think he planned and carried out this attack in an organised and meticulous manner.

She worked at Red Robin. Went with group from work, including “Sully”, who tragically lost his life.
