DT getting annoyed - objected twice. Says Brauchler is testifying - overruled. Then hearsay - sustained.

He didn't necessarily follow the "rules of the lab". Wouldn't pull a large number of pipettes. Would pull some, then when he ran out, he would quit. Not motivated. Shy. Lazy.

Would sit by himself. Most would ask questions, approach others when new...be proactive. He was not.

Did JH appear to be detached from reality? No.

Did he change over the time? No.

Did the guy who gave the presentation in May appear to be the same person who you saw in December? Yes.

Ah the german accent brings back memories of my time living in Germany!

DT up now. I forget this one's name. Short with short dark hair. **ETA - Mrs. Higgs***

Man, now we are back with that Dr. Klug course outline (or whatever it is called) These questions never make any sense to me! Guess they have to ask something.

Says normal lab would be August to November, but he started in June, right? Yes. Not everyone does that. (OK, we get it! He started early! That doesn't make him motivated, it shows he needed to be working!!!)

He worked with Anna - and they would rotate each semester(?) with who would take the newbie under their wing. Anna was up when JH came through. She was more involved with his training than Mr. Aubrecht.

O/T - since I know many of you watched his trial - per CNN breaking news, Aaron Hernandez got in trouble for being involved in a prison fight. (LOL!!) He was the lookout for another prisoner who went into a cell to get into a gang fight. SMDH!!!

JH might have lacked initiative at University but he didn't struggle to motivate himself to buy all those weapons, ammunition and explosive devices!

After what was introduced yesterday, in that unemployment application document, these questions are just making her look silly! (IMO, of course!)

He said himself he wasn't interested in the work, didn't want to make the effort to fit in (or he tried, but couldn't - which I don't believe...but I guess I shouldn't make that judgement)

Mrs. Higgs (previously known as Mrs. Shorty Short)

"Let me check my notes to make sure I am hitting all my points"

UUMMM...you are just throwing out word salad!! You aren't making anything!!!

Juror Questions

Did he read course literature on computer or paper?

Thinking...then both.

Did he ever act strange in social setting? (paraphrased)

No

A couple I missed

It must be hard to disregard a statement. We remember stuff, thats how our brains work. I remember everything. Even the one bad word my husband called me in 2006. I'm like an elephant. Never forget! :D

Redirect from Brauchler

Do you think if JH had made a remarkable change from when you first worked with him to when you last saw him...would you remember that?

Yes, I believe so.

Mrs. Higgs

You never hung out with him...blah blah blah.

No.

Have other students had similar shyness or lack of effort? Some have had lack of effort but most didn't.

How did he interact with you and other students outside of class? I don't remember.

Right? I would probably remember what was said, but that I was told to disregard it!

And you sound like my Mom!! Telling my 40 yo self "But when you were 16, you did 'fill in the blank'!"

Jason Tregellas - Doctor/Professor (pick one!)

Was teaching JH in the Spring semester.

Mrs. Brady objects Rule 401 and 403 (can't remember what 401 is, but cumulative)

Which I actually don't mind this objection. I get that the PT wants to get everyone that JH interacted with on the record. I get why it's important.

But it is getting repetitive, and I am afraid the jury will begin to not really give it much further thought.

IMO, waste of time now. Because as we all know, if the PT team is calling them, they will NOT say they saw him change!

And objection overruled. Guess the Judge knows better than me!

Do you have a chance to observe other students?

Yes.

Are you notified about problems with students, ie attendance, etc.?

Yes

Shows Mr. Tregallas is shown an email exchange. Regarding his presentation - subject/date

Anything unusual about this communication?

Nope!

Mrs. Brady - object to admitting - hearsay and relevance. Judge looks at evidence...and approach.
