Is describing scene and many prior victims have done. Chaos, etc.
Pushed Jessica down, she was saying call 911.
She was laying on her stomach, taking cover. I was in a curled up position - both facing right exit.
Started to feel spray of popcorn and soda.
Her tone went from call 911 to screaming. She was shot in right leg, right above knee. As EMT, I applied pressure. More popcorn and soda. Tried to reach for phone, but couldn't. Moved to get it, and got shot in buttocks.
Was hearing shots ringing out, perception of time with adrenaline made things slow down. Loud bang, then pause, then bang and it continued. Then saw Jessie was shot, and focused on her.
Got busy message for 911.
Then noticed Jessie's screams had stopped. Saw she was shot in head - brain matter exposed. Crawled closer...prayed over her. Objection, 403. Overruled. Gave her the best send off I could. Medical training kicked in...saw she was black tagged (injuries incompatible with life)
Realized I needed to worry about my own safety. Saw someone run out in a break in the shots. Thought if shooter came back he could jump off balcony.
Heard someone cry out "Someone help...please!" Realized adrenaline was wearing off and pain in leg. Thought "help is coming!"
Then saw first responders...told them the gas was irritating, and they took him out.
