I still cannot get over where the witness box is in relation to where JH is seated.

If any of the witnesses decided to jump at JH, they would get to him before the Bailiff even had a chance. The bailiff would most likely pull someone off of him pretty quickly but it sure seems like the witness could definitely lunge and get to JH before the bailiff could stop them.

Instead of turning right to go to witness chair, all someone would have to do is do a "head fake" to the right and then jump and lunge to the left.

We have seen other court cases where that kind of stuff happens so just really surprised this courtroom is setup this way with such a high profile mass murderer.

I read where it's about 5 feet away from JH. Too close, IMO
The other thing that is so unusual is that the witness stand is usually right next to the jury so that the jury can clearly see the witness. Here, they are across the room!
