Yet he does know what pain is..and specifically bought bullet proof vests/gear+++ including family jewel protections. because he knew IF he got shot it would hurt...ohhh poor me if that should happen..BUT deny's that what he did would hurt..only shock and terror...What a flipping lying asshat!!

Myself, I think he's profoundly mentally ill, but *sane* as far as the law is concerned.

He is disassociated from the reality of his actions, and yes I think he truly feels nothing. Which doesn't play into his legal culpability for this actions at all.

Just my opinion.

He didn't want to be shot--thus he surrendered......

In his journal he made a comment: "In order to rehabilite {my} broken mind, my soul must be eviscerated".

So in a twisted way, he wanted to be stopped, and he wants to be punished. I'm inclined to accommodate him.

I don't know bexlex...I think he has absolutely no empathy..unable to even feel love, hate or ability to perceive anything having to do with fellow humans..But can parrot terms surrounding things like sending "Love" to his mom,dad and sister.

If he actually loved them, he wouldn't have even thought of doing this mass killing..nor would he feel sympathy for how his parent's would feel if he got DP. Quite simply he does NOT possess one iota of feelings or empathy for others.

BUT he does care about himself, his fears and sense of inadequacy, inability to fail at anythings ( ala flunking his presentation in class). His breakup is only an excuse..as He felt no connection with this GF..But he knew he was inadequate ( yet another failure of fooling yet another group) also knew Dr. Fenton had reported him..( yet another failure to fool her)..See where I'm going??

Don't forget he took Vicodin before the shooting just in case he got shot. He covered every base.

I have known a whole wak of people who lack empathy or sense of what they do or say will hurt another..then the ability to do and say things ( parroting nice things, compliments and give hugs and praise) in order to manipulate ( kind of reminds me of Jodi Arias :tantrum:

But none of them did commit such a crime..what transpired was his lack of honesty with his parents as a child, then in school, college, undergrad courses then eventually Colorado's University...all the while HIDING his flaws to psychiatrists ( who could have helped him if was honest) BUT that wasn't part of his mission.

His understanding right from wrong is clear..His understanding of consequences IF he told the truth ( put in psychiatric Hospital, which would keep him from his mission) ..Yet in his tapes with Dr. Reid deny's he cared about consequence..BS!!

I apologize if some of my words don't make sense..Auto correct is driving my nutso..whoops mean crazy..whoopsy frustrating me :tantrum:
