butcher, baker, candlestick maker

Wisdom, power, courage... I posted earlier about the Triforce connection from The Legend of Zelda game possibly being the explanation for the three 'slash' marks on the front of the cross, and the 'lightening bolt' design on the backside being the letter "Z" - for Zelda. The perp may very well be a gamer, and the cross with three slash marks and a badly-done "Z" (IMHO) was for Zelda. I need a break... I am getting grumpy that an arrest hasn't been made.

This guy may not work at all. He may be living off a mental disability check. He might be a nocturnal creature and go to sleep in the morning.

I can't really think of a good Amish joke except something about churning butter.

Yeah, I got nothin'.

Let me assist.

An Amish man and his son are standing in a hotel lobby. Soon, an older lady with a cane comes by and pushes a button in front of two shiny doors. When the doors open, the older lady shuffles in and the door closes. In just a few moments, a bell dings and the doors open. Out walks a tall blond in a tight red dress and heels.
The father turns to his son and says, "Jeremiah, go get your mother."

Well, you and I are thinking along similar lines about the mental disability thing....but I don't know if he's nocturnal. He took Jessica in the morning and obviously had the energy to do some unimaginable things that day.

In the days of commuter employment, this perp could really be ANYONE. Anyone, seriously. My husband and I both work from home and a number of folks on our street have traditional jobs with non traditional work hours. Some go into the office 3 days, work at home for 2. A manager of a car lot, an attorney, insurance claims, a couple of nurses, etc..... One nurse who works several long days is often seen pulling in after dropping her kids off after 9. Half of our culdesac is often home during the day, and I can count on one hand when I have come home to an empty, carless culdesac- and we all work.

Just a thought. The options are really limitless, in my opinion, of who this perp could have been and where, if he was, employed.

I do indeed wonder, but for most folks, I can't even begin to guess, unless they say something specific in their comments.

Such as contractor (cringe)with access to a shop (privacy) and a plethora of tools at his disposal. The possibilities ar endless.

I still think un or only part time employed. As what I don' t know.

Was there ever any mention of the Ridgeways having housework or lawnwork done? Or maintenance work on their cars or anything else along those lines that would require a handyman? Either a one time deal or someone who came on a regular basis.

Jessica would recognize this person and might be friendly and at ease. He would know her schedule. Wouldn't be odd for him to be around their house in the neighborhood.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...chool-in-brighton-reports-attempted-abduction

In this article about today's attempted abduction is the following sentence. "The man was described as wearing a a gray hooded sweatshirt. The maroon car had a black Colorado near its rear end."

Can a local tell me what it means (or any idea what this is)..... "a black Colorado near it's rear end"?

Is it possible they are referring to a sticker like this?[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Colorado-Bumper-Sticker-Decal-Black/dp/B004BZIKO8"]Colorado CO Car Bumper Sticker Decal Oval Black and White : Amazon.com : Automotive@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41RNVnJ4x9L.@@AMEPARAM@@41RNVnJ4x9L[/ame]

I'm not pulling up any other info for "black colorado."

There has been nothing released about that but it's a good thought. Even if her family did not have such service there is no reason to think a neighbor did not. So it could be someone that she "recognized" and would not be afraid of.

I've only know that word within the Hebrew context, lol.

Yes, Knox...that's it. I had no idea. Carbuff linked the Wikipedia info on the word...and its Jewish in origin. How could I miss it? I don't know but I did. I have never heard the word before!

I haven't seen any mention of workmen or the like around the family home. I assume that WPD checked into that avenue when investigating family, friends and associates, but that is just my assumpton.

OK...well, in order for you to fall for me as a brilliant Angelina Jolie, I need for 2 things to happen:
You guys must forget that I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren with one on the way (even though I am a young 48 myself...and obviously vibrant:dance:)

You guys must forget that I did not have knowledge of golems...or other stuff it seems like I don't know.:propeller:

On a serious note, I am only up at this hour because I am hoping for some news to break....I want this guy off the streets.

Both posts make really good points. Would account for him having flexibility of time. Would account for him having limited financial means (someone suggested this earlier, as a reason for him to be forced to stay in the area vs. fleeing), only getting disability. If he does have a mental disability severe enough to get him SS benefits and he's between 18-30, the onset of schizphrenia/bipolar would be somewhat consistent. ---> Must add of course horrific violence like this NOT synonymous with mental illness. Since everything happened so quickly within a few days and seemingly with panic, he could've been manic, not sleeping, sleeping irregularly, flight of thoughts, poor impulse control. But really none of that matters with his underlying soul of evil.

I'd think if he was on disability he would be seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist and they would be very aware of the JR situation, and should be quite concerned about this client of theirs. Should've reported him ASAP.

I kinda hope he doesn't have any mental issues. I don't want any insanity pleas when he's caught. Just a one way ticket in the fast lane to death row.
