You guys make a girl feel bad. I am, apparently, the only Websleuther who did not know what a golem was.

Anyhoo.....I was really hoping LE would find this killer today. I predicted it would be within the week...and perhaps into the weekend.
I hope they are close. I think he's right there under their noses.

I really think he is. I really think he's right under our noses. I am just feeling like this is a done deal super soon.

Well, you and I are thinking along similar lines about the mental disability thing....but I don't know if he's nocturnal. He took Jessica in the morning and obviously had the energy to do some unimaginable things that day.
Those with chronic mentally illness frequently have bizarre sleep patterns unrelated to the 24-hour day. Some will live for decades with only taking multiple short naps throughout the day and night. Others who are manic may be unable to sleep for days.

Its true! Don't you sometimes wonder about the posters here on WS? Like, I know all of you see me as a brilliant Angelina Jolie.....

Isn't that an oxymoron?

I was thinking again about the 8 year-old that was abducted by Colorado Springs this summer. It wasn't long after the failed attempt with the jogger, so I'm wondering if she may have just been a practice run to see if he could do it, how long it would take and anything else he might need to deal with during the real thing. It's possible that he didn't assault this girl because she was way too young; in fact, I don't believe we've ever heard if Jessica was sexually assaulted either.

If they are at all related, the description in that case could be helpful (in fact, I believe they got a video of his car.) What was written was:
Deputies are looking for a bald white male who was wearing a green cap and might go by the name Jason, said Sgt. Joe Roybal, a sheriff's spokesman. He was driving a blue four-door sedan with a black interior.

He could be the same one who tried to grab the boy in May, and the car sounds similar to those reported in quite a few attempts.

I would think that it would cost some money to do this. I am not thinking this guy is un-employed. I keep thinking of the "dexter clean up kit" from season 5. I don't know though.

Another blue 4 door sedan?

I know LE is working hard but I can't help but notice that they haven't managed to solve any of the many, many prior and post-Jessica's murder abduction attempts/assaults.

Confusion! Of course it would be one for HER. But we are speaking of moi. Shefner. I'm sure when other Websleuthers try to visualize Shefner they may think of Angelina Jolie...who has become, miraculously of course, brilliant.
(And since I hate to break everyone's hearts on both points, I let the lie continue. But let's keep it between us, k?)

I am new but I've been following the case and reading all of the posts. Don't have much to add. Just want to say I think LE is doing an exceptional job and I think they will get him.

I definitely get that Pensfan. I have experience in this area with a family member. He can go 24 hours without sleep. But mostly, he stays up at night and sleeps in the day hours. So thinking like this, it would seem likely that this perp has a mental disorder that lends itself to an unusual sleep pattern.

So a quick question...with all this searching. Does anyone think that the police made a huge mistake just bypassing the Aunt's BF so quickly. If you read the scanner thread when they asked about the family they mentioned a Aunt's BF by it wasn't really acknowledged by the person asking for family information. It kind of seemed like they thought that the Aunt may have bene a sister and young.

IE they talked about GMA first.....then Sarah..then they asked about are there anymore daugthers, police said yes Christine and she has a BF...but from the way the wording went one of the officers may have though they were asking if Sarah had any more daugther i.e. a sister of jessica. Then they mentioned a BF in another city. Then when they asked who had access to the house they only had 4 people listed, not the BF.

Feel that could have been a communication breakdown on the scanner.

Below is a documented and sourced by me timeline of sorts of all the attempted abductions within the last 18 months in this particular area of Colorado.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I feel like my head has been spinning on all of these. I'm guessing somebody mentioned it, but there was another one in Brighton today that could go up there.

ETA. ...I see it right there on top...sorry!

Yeah, I feel the same way. He's hiding in plain sight.

I think he's like the last person anybody would suspect. I don't think he shows any outward signs of craziness.

So he surely must be on WS. Sounds like my sleep pattern.

I believe that they were in arvada. BUT I do have to say it is a little wierd to me that there is obviously 2 different men. One in the blue sedan that is going after teenage kids and then jessica's killer. I think they are not the same person, but it is MOO that just possibly the blue sedan guy could be a decoy for the JR killer. He is possibly the worst child abductor. (Thank god) but there has been an attempt almost weekly. He is described as a bigger man, and older and the same blue sedan. These are all in Jefferson county though. It is a big county.

something to ponder

Let's propose a law that states LE gets 2 "freebies" in each horrific homicide case. LE can use their 2 freebies to illegally search or take DNA from unwilling suspects. (Only slightly joking)

:offtobed:

OK guys and gals....it has been very enjoyable to get to know you all better. At least tonight hasn't been quite as intense as some nights we have had. I enjoy those too, however, because it usually means we have some new info to hash out.

Praying for Jessica's family tonight....for her little friends....and for LE.
May the Lord bless and protect them all and give them peace....and wisdom.

See ya'll tomorrow, Lord willing. Nitey Nite now....

I would have to say that anyone that remotely had access to Jessica...family, friends, boyfriends, etc....ANYONE, would have been checked out thoroughly VERY early in the investigation. That would be LE 101 and should be a given. JMO
