Wow, car buff...I learned something new! I didn't realize this was Jewish in nature. Being a Christian who is fairly well versed in Judaism, I'm surprised I haven't heard the term before. Maybe Southern Jews have a different name for golems. :slap:

OK, Woof, be honest. You not only know the term, but you have used it in a WS post, haven't you?!

ETA: BTW, I took Greek in college (and was terrified of my professor, stuffy old thing that was harsh as heck). My father went to the same college years earlier and was awarded the Biblical Languages Scholar Award. Needless to say, I didn't win anything. But I was voted in as class Senator and I got a sign for my door. All that meant was, if students had any problems, they knew where to complain 24/7.

My SN is a quote from a Will Ferrell movie. My husband and I were probably the only ones in the world that laughed.

Ari Liggett told investigators that he and two friends he hired to help with the body drove to Gunnison in his mother's vehicle. At some point, the friends left

It would just be far too coincidental if 2 different, awesome photographers of nature were involved in the recent and separate crimes against children of the past month in the western states.
but I get it. I really do. It clicks for me. (geeze. no pun was intended. seriously:)

And both had connections to Colorado and Wyoming.

3 may not just be an OCD thing. It's a religious/spiritual and metaphysical thing too.

it could also be an age thing. a crisis of age or a coming of age. the number 3 in his current or soon to be age....

Some others are bartender, UPS driver, Schwann's driver, garbage collector(?), veterinarian, gas station attendant.

A. Thanks about the hat!

B. I was thinking about him being a person who works at a convenience store, or have the LE talked to people who work in convenience stores? I am just thinking where I live I always go to the same gas station and I know the people who work there from being there often. Maybe they noticed a "regular" who acted strange, or had a kid they do not usually have... saying they are baby-sitting or whatever.

Just trying to think outside the box I guess.

I had that experience when I took my then-teenage son to see Mars Attacks. We were laughing our a$$es off while everybody else sat there like lumps...

So, iam, you and your hubby knew the term "golem" before you saw the movie? I still can't imagine that I did not know it.

Below is a documented and sourced by me timeline of sorts of all the attempted abductions within the last 18 months in this particular area of Colorado.

YES! I was hoping someone had this, now we can add to it, cause it's almost everyday there's another thing coming up around there.

You are old enough to have a grown up son?! Carbuff! I took you for a 22 year old college fella.

I've known it since I was about 8, it's a common creature in fantasy novels. Not as cool as a dragon, IMHO, and a little creepy.

Rumor has it that there is a Golem still alive at an old building (Church maybe) In prague. I think it may be true really.

Alas, there are no golems in my Amish fiction series readings.

:mickey:(This will have to substitute for an Amish man from Pennsylvania. I'm sure you have the imagination to make it happen.)

Nope, had no clue. It was just a funny line.

That IS a great idea!! In my area there are always people sitting outside in their yards, probably having a cocktail (or an Iced Mocha Coolatta if you're me :), chatting, listening to the radio. Lots of retirees. I used to think it was kind of strange (in part because when I walked by them I hear them cracking jokes about some of the people who walked by) but I've come to appreciate that they're harmless and their "watching people" is likely to do more good than harm. Especially now in the context of what's happened out in CO.

I'm so proud of those dads who stood every 50 feet in Pueblo. I live in Florida, but on the days when I am home, I think I'll take my preschoolers out to play when the school agers are getting off the bus. I can't solve the problem, but I can do something.
What a wonderful idea.

You guys make a girl feel bad. I am, apparently, the only Websleuther who did not know what a golem was.

Anyhoo.....I was really hoping LE would find this killer today. I predicted it would be within the week...and perhaps into the weekend.
I hope they are close. I think he's right there under their noses.

I can't really think of a good Amish joke except something about churning butter.

Yeah, I got nothin'.
