In most unsolved cases, we can point to a reason(s) as to why such as:

1. The victim's body was never found.
2. LE did not follow protocol/was incompetent
3. LE neglected the case; did not devote many resources to it
4. Suspect(s) are wealthy/influential
5. LE had tunnel vision

I bet you almost every unsolved case on WS falls in one, or more, of those categories. But I don't see how any of those reasons could apply to Jessica's case. I think if it does become a cold case, the question, "Why couldn't LE solve it?" will be just as big of a mystery as, "Who killed Jessica?"

They will get this one. Of this, I am certain.

I would have to say that anyone that remotely had access to Jessica...family, friends, boyfriends, etc....ANYONE, would have been checked out thoroughly VERY early in the investigation. That would be LE 101 and should be a given. JMO

One would hope, but it was very early on and very quick. I am just saying that in all other cases I have followed her on WS it was a long process checking out family, relatives, friends, etc. I was also wondering if there has been a funeral mentioned for Jessica or was the memorial it? tia

Those with chronic mentally illness frequently have bizarre sleep patterns unrelated to the 24-hour day. Some will live for decades with only taking multiple short naps throughout the day and night. Others who are manic may be unable to sleep for days.

This isn't quite a revelation that I'm the next Angelina Jolie but it's close.

I have narcolepsy, a neurological sleep disorder, which completely screws with my sleep. Even now with medication and treatment where I'm much much better than before my diagnosis, it's still unpleasant. It really does impair my ability to function normally. I'm exhausted during the day, I rarely feel fully rested, I fall asleep at odd times, and if I can't get to a soft surface for a nap in an emergency I meltdown. I can only imagine severe mental illness and how sleep is effected as a result and then the altered sleep can throw someone out of whack completely. Still on top of brazen and cold blooded evil.

I would hope so but offically I believe only the Mom and Dad have been ruled out.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...chool-in-brighton-reports-attempted-abduction

In this article about today's attempted abduction is the following sentence. "The man was described as wearing a a gray hooded sweatshirt. The maroon car had a black Colorado near its rear end."

Can a local tell me what it means (or any idea what this is)..... "a black Colorado near it's rear end"?

No idea, I would say a bumper sticker, but usually the "Colorado" ones look like our license plates with a green mountain range and some word on it like "Native" or "Transplant". Maybe it was an oval sticker with a "CO" on it?

What was heard about the aunt's boyfriend was on the scanner rewind, not the investigation.
They were seeking information and potential locations to find a missing child when that information came to light.
It has nothing to do with what happened subsequently during the investigation.
I can assure you that everyone remotely connected to Jessica was thoroughly investigated. That is a given.

I am new but I've been following the case and reading all of the posts. Don't have much to add. Just want to say I think LE is doing an exceptional job and I think they will get him.

So that would mean she was killed by a stranger, right?

The parents are the victims. Nothing more, nothing less.
There is no doubt in my mind that LE/FBI have followed all procedures and MORE in their investigation...and will continue to do so.

So a quick question...with all this searching. Does anyone think that the police made a huge mistake just bypassing the Aunt's BF so quickly. If you read the scanner thread when they asked about the family they mentioned a Aunt's BF by it wasn't really acknowledged by the person asking for family information. It kind of seemed like they thought that the Aunt may have bene a sister and young.

IE they talked about GMA first.....then Sarah..then they asked about are there anymore daugthers, police said yes Christine and she has a BF...but from the way the wording went one of the officers may have though they were asking if Sarah had any more daugther i.e. a sister of jessica. Then they mentioned a BF in another city. Then when they asked who had access to the house they only had 4 people listed, not the BF.

Feel that could have been a communication breakdown on the scanner.

I think LE kinows alot. I am just so concerned . I did have some oh oh uggh moments when I saw the press interview and saw those unidentified people who were standing behind the family. I firmly believe she knew the Perp, if only by sight and limited interaction. She was very social and trusting. Bless her and her family. I have no doubt this will be solved and soon!

Another blue 4 door sedan?

Yes, there it is again. Must be at least the 4th time for that description. Maybe LE should/could list all the witnessed vehicles in this long list of cases; recent additional cases they may have too. Then do an analysis to pull out both common vehicles in a group; or list those described in very similar cases; or the mix (such as a white truck, 4 door blue sedan, and green van) and try to determine if there is someone with that combo of wheels.

So, do you doubt LE's declaration that Sarah has been OFFICIALLY ruled out? Just wondering.

I almost don't think I should be posting this. I trust they investigated this thoroughly and didn't just rule her out on her word or a gut feeling but can substantiate it. Just as with every other area in this case, we don't need every detail all around. I think this team of LE and FBI is really on top of things. But I'm interested in hearing why you doubt what LE has said and therefore how they are conducting the investigation as a result.

"Stranger" is a fluid word. It is very possible that this was an opportunist who just happened to cross paths with Jessica while on a "human hunt", ie a true stranger in that sense. But it may be someone who is outside the IMMEDIATE known circle of friends, neighbors, family. A "stranger" that Jessica may have recognized but didn't actually know. If there is new information about the family, friends, neighbors, etc, LE will pursue it vigorously, however, until or unless that happens, you can rest assured those people have been scrutinized very carefully and it checked out.

It would also be nice for us to get a better description than "sedan". When you're looking, you spot 10 in a minute that could be a dark blue sedan.

Yeah, I feel the same way. He's hiding in plain sight.

I think he's like the last person anybody would suspect. I don't think he shows any outward signs of craziness.

I don' t thunk hes crazy (hate that word will substitute mentally ill) as in insane. I think he is just plain sick, perverse, full of rage and taking out in unspeakable ways on whoever is handy. I think the coward is enjoying the hubub he has created.

A legend in his own mind.

ETA ok, the tablet typing is getting worse and my eyes are blurring so i am off to bed.

Goodnight friends. May tomorrow bring arrest.

What about professions with semi-public profiles? By that I mean the real estate agent or used car salesman we all know from commercials, billboards etc... We don't actually know them but maybe a child would see this type of person as safe, a local celebrity if u will.

No...not your fault at all. It was my error and I torture myself greatly :blushing: when I make such a simplistic error, lol. I really do pride myself on accuracy but lately I've done a couple of really dumb things on the board. Things I know better than to do, but somehow my brain is in overdrive (or underdrive, lol) and I've made some really stupid errors. My bad....
And TLCox: No worries!! I deserve the teasing!
And Thess: Thanks for the chocolate...maybe that will solve whatever is screwing me up!!
:great:

I spelled abduction wrong in a previous post and by the time I got to the page my post landed on and noticed it, the option to edit was gone. That really bugs me. That said, I'm sure I make tons of mistakes that I never notice. My fave mistakes being when I base a whole rebuttal to what someone else has posted based on the wrong facts! Luckily those are usually pointed out quickly - lol!

Amen! I prefer this post to what I just posted. It's been stated, re-stated, confirmed, verified, period. End of story. They are victims and need as much love and support, prayers and help as we can all give. It makes me uncomfortable to send out anything other than positive energy to the family.
