I agree. As I've said numerous times, I think the most likely scenario is foul play at the hands of someone close to her. But until we have more information, I think everyone is obligated to consider other alternatives...Mollie T. was accosted by a barely known acquaintance, Toni A. turned out to have taken a wrong turn down a ramp into a lake, authorities found a woman who pretended to be abducted at Disney World. :)

Also, 8 hours is a long way to drive to make it look like someone used their cell from far away too...so there's still a chance she's out there on her own accord.

So even though I agree with you about the most likely scenario, I'm going to ask all the questions, and keep option open, until there's enough evidence to call it.

KB's phone pinging hundreds of miles away is throwing everyone off.
It was either intentional or a big mistake.

Yes, I understand that it wasn't posted on the police department's Facebook page. Somehow I was aware of it though, because I had a reminder set. I just don't have time to find it as it would involve going back through the thread for the day before and/or reading through all the articles for that day. Sorry. MOO

"Kelsey and her mom typically talk quite often" (the 1:24 mark in the video), so why didn't her mom call to talk until a full 10 days after Thanksgiving (December 2nd), if she knew "when to call and when not to"?

Maybe someone was still texting her..

  • #1,104
The police may have told him not to reveal it too.
But why? There is no public danger so it could only help solve where she is.
For example- txt said she leaving forever. Txt said she would be back Wed for example, etc
What would be the big secret? Why would LE say 'you have to ask him' if they are working together?

I'm just curious what stopped him from attending? How about asking for another 20 minutes if he needed it. Or, show up late with apologies. Or....just get there on short notice.

For pete's sake, show up.

Just my opinion
Law enforcement may have wanted to create the scene and motivate the media to hound him and write and air stories implicating him and chose to make it difficult to get there in time and appear before the media with no preparation (in terms of information) unlike all of the other participants speaking to the media.

It's possible he was working and had a schedule of appointments that he couldn't re-schedule.

I could see him not attending press conf., but not reporting KB missing has raised my eyebrows. Something stinks about this case.

Back to sitting on my hands in the corner and waiting for more info to be released.

12 hours, according to Google Maps, if the ping is legit. Some people like a long drive to clear their heads.

My point was just that the police have not said that he refused to allow them to search the property.

And I was under the impression that we shouldn't be sleuthing anyone who was not named as a suspect or person of interest. This hasn't happened but PF is having his info shared here anyways

If his personal info is being shared i.e. his address, place of work etc.

That is a big no no.

We are not allowed to sleuth anyone that is not a suspect/POI.

We are allowed to stick to MSM reports and info put out by LE only.

This guy hasn’t said a word to the media and has now lawyered up.

You’re right, we don’t have confirmation that he was asked to allow the police to search his property.

I can’t imagine they haven’t asked though, and the fact that they have not searched his property means that he told them no.

It would follow his pattern of behavior thus far.

Many leaps of faith here. If he was asked and said "no" that would be a huge red flag to LE. A judge can always be found to approve a search warrant. If they did not search it, it means, up till now, they have not had any reason to think it would be useful.

If I were a father of a child and the mother had up and disappeared and I don't know if she's dead or abducted or just hiding, I'm not going to let the child out of my sight. For all he knows, KB could show up at any minute, grab the child, and run.
But that implies KB has good reason to distrust and fear PF. Mothers have done just that if they fear domestic violence.

The public has been told the couple was engaged and that would mean PF should be happy KB returns. JMO

What if they weren't really fiances or it turns out they were never in a committed relationship, but she let her parents think that so they wouldn't worry? If you had irregular contact with your baby's mother or you knew she had a new boyfriend, and she disappeared, you might not think it was your place to be the 1 in the spotlight.

I think when some people say the baby is with her family, they mean the baby is with the baby girl's family. Meaning the dad and paternal grandpa. Just a thought. :)
There is undoubtedly going to be another press conference. It sounds as if Patrick says he will be there if he is given enough notice.

Yes, you may be able to find a judge to approve one, but the results of that search can still be thrown out later in court.

They can’t take that risk.

Haaaaaa. If I were them, I’d call one tomorrow and see if he shows up.

That would probably be seen as petty though.

Fiance of missing Kelsey Berreth voluntarily releases cell phone, DNA sample to law enforcement
The statement said that Frazee has cooperated and will continue to cooperate with police but will not give any media interviews, “as he does not want to impede law enforcement’s investigation.”

He has numerous relatives connected to law enforcement. His brother, Sean, works for the Colorado Springs Police Department. A cousin has worked for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, and an uncle, Forrest Frazee, is the retired Kiowa County sheriff.

Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said at Monday’s press conference that police had not searched Frazee’s home but said it was a possibility. De Young said police have not identified any suspects but also do not believe there is reason to think the community is in danger.

The short notice may have been strategic as well

Someone else was talking about the cinnamon rolls being there. I haven't seen that.
I had to search and search regarding the cinnamon rolls. I found the mention in the media thread on page 2. Cold cinnamon rolls left on the counter.

That's just the social media announcement for the public. The news media needs more lead time than just an hour so they can get a crew there with time to set up.

Bolded by me.

How helpful of him. Hope the next one fits into his schedule better.
