Thinking along the lines that the wrongful death suit being filed may be enough to lock up PF's assetts from being sold off to use for hiring a good private defense attorney. Speculating that could be the reason it was filed so soon.
Good thinking! Also he may have a substantial inheritance in the future. Imo

What if Kelsey had made PF her life insurance beneficiary?

But what happens if he's found not liable before the criminal case ends? Or what happens to a tainted jury pool in the criminal case? The burden of proof is much lower in a wrongful death lawsuit, and I am sure they must have pretty solid evidence that he's liable.. but ...there is always that chance...
I am thinking the civil case must be heard after the criminal case. But in the meantime, assets would be frozen. I like that in a lot of ways. I can’t see it tainting the jury pool. He would not be found not liable. Sure of that.

Her friend said she came from an amazing family which says a lot to me so I can't see someone like that being that bad/immoral to be involved in a murder.
Because people who make bad choices always come from bad families, right? What makes a family “amazing” anyway?

.

I haven't seen any articles that named the family friend. Sounds like Sam K may have gotten some incorrect info.
Or the wrong sources!

Replying to @SamKraemerTV @KOAA
As a reporter at KMVT, I can tell you that is not the family friend who confirmed the info.
Yes, it sounds like Sam talked to a different family friend. Jeepers creepers!

To clarify: @KelseySouto confirms her station’s source for the FBI investigation of an Idaho woman is separate from KC. #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth @KOAA

Tysm. do you think this is the earliest? I thought 12/22.
If NG reported 12/26 hervteam May have known a few days bf, but had to verify, etc.
So, anyways, we might conclude a MONTH passed from ping to IN being questioned? Is this feasible?

Moo moo
I think more likely a month passed before it became common knowledge that she was being questioned. There has always been an unnamed witness in need of protection from being named, and she could be that witness. Is so, LE would have been questioning her much sooner than we all learned of it, Nancy Grace included. jmo

If he has assets, can they withheld or do they go for atty?

See this is why I think IN has to be involved in some way or fashion. Because of the timing of when the ping occurred compared to recent when we learned IN may have "disposed" of the phone.

If there was any chance PF placed the phone in her stuff and she didnt know about it then she surely found out when the ping happened and, if so, then why not go directly to LE and say look at what I found in my stuff.

Instead there appears to be an investigation of IN actually disposing of the phone instead.

I cannot see how she is not culpable in this in some way because of that.

Maybe she did. Maybe that is why her parents are filing the wrongful death suit. I’m sure they have been given good advice.

I agree. Just because we don't have written, or media proof yet, doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I have never heard of LE or the DA denying an arrest when directly asked. They might just say, "we have no information about an arrest at this time".

I'm so confused. Sam named the same name as the KMVT article and said he spoke to her on the phone:

Then a reporter from KMVT claimed that KC wasn't their source (even though above article makes it sound like she was the source):

What is going on here?!?

Edited: Changed KMTV to KMVT, my bad.

Confusing. The name Sam Kraemer posted for the friend is the same name as in this article: Family friend names Twin Falls County woman investigated in connection to missing Colorado woman
(Initials KC)

lol I think it's been removed! From the article you posted, it's possible that there was more than 1 source, the previously named one was just a high school classmate. JMO

This is a different article, and it didn't name anyone.

Sources confirm identity of woman under investigation in Kelsey Berreth case

A couple of pages back. Berreths have filed the suit against PF.
