DailyMail updated the article that the remains are not Kelsey's.

Why is that the Daily has these facts and not the American press?

Thanks for the update it is NOT her.

Hopefully soon we will get some sort of update on the case from LE directly or if we are lucky maybe there will be a leak to news sources.

Although at this point we may not hear much
else until court dates unless something major changes for the case. Or if someone else eventually gets charged in the case.

Glad to hear it is not Kelsey. I deleted my above message. Amazing how quickly the coroner was able to say it wasn’t KB. At least her parents didn’t have to suffer long for that answer.

I'm not sure. However, I remember they reported about the Boston Marathon bombers a few years ago before it hit news stations.

Because they created the story in the first place.

They were the first ones to speculate that the body was Kelsey’s, and the first one to shoot down the idea that it was hers.

If you don’t irresponsibly report the possibility of a body being a particular person’s, there’s no need to say “it isn’t her.”

If this is KB's remains, I think the ping in Idaho was not supposed to happen. IMO
This is something I hadn't thought about. You could be right. Maybe the ping in Idaho was not supposed to happen at all!

But she needs to be found... I was hoping she had been.

With what little we know now, I think he will take a plea deal, if he can get an end date deal. Moo
If, he’s guilty.....I try to presume one innocent until all facts are available, if I should ever find myself in a similar position would wish for the same. Jmo

From the demeanor I see in court, this is going to trial. JMO.

Early on there was discussion on this possibility because we really dont know for sure where the texts were sent from.

Some of us speculated early on that maybe the texts were sent from Colorado and the ping in Idaho may have been a bad mistake on the perp's part. Maybe even that the phone pinged one last time as it was being smashed and short circuited causing an inadvertant last ping.

It's still possible because we never got concrete information about where the texts were sent from or even the timing of them in relation to the ping in Idaho.

And the early news about the ping made it seem like it was a possible "false ping" indicating that maybe it was a single ping.

I've thought about the same thing... What if PF just gave KK the phone and said to take it and get rid of it no questions asked, but she got nosy and turned it on when she wasn't supposed to. That's the only semi-"innocent" explanation I could think of for her having that phone in Idaho.

What about the messages through? Do you think those had to be sent once the phone was turned on?

The problem there is getting KK to believe KB not only broke up with PF, but gave him Baby K for an indefinite time period while she wandered off.

I think a mother of 2 small children would have a hard time believing that was really the case. And if so, wouldn't KK have had a discussion with PF's mother about this?

I don't think he'd have a problem getting KK to think they had broken up. They've known each other a long time. He probably told all his friends and family lies about KB. He has probably said things like he has to keep baby K all the time, KB is flaky, has run off without telling anybody before, maybe even she had another bf or gf. Look at the way PF's family acted after KB was missing. They were not in the least concerned AFAIK, except for some bad comments about her. I believe KB was an outsider in his family and friends and she would have never been accepted. Moving into a small town where everyone knows each other all their lives and are often related somehow can be tough. You can be there thirty years and you're still an outsider. I would be willing to bet PF also hated CB and he probably would have said nasty things about her to KK. She thinks PF is her friend and believes him. MOO.

Short answer: ethics. The DM is a tabloid that pays for stories. Meaning somebody not authorized to release information tipped them off. JMO

I think whoever devised this planned thought we will demonstrate she is on her way to Washington and send text to PF and work as cover then destroy the phone. Thinking that destruction of the phone destroys the data when it actually does not as it backed-up/stored with the provider as well as the limited storage on the phone. What happened with phone matches we PF's statements that KB was traveling to Washington.

Yes, they also had this which I haven't seen elsewhere:

  • Frazee never once left the state in the 11 days between the time that Berreth was last seen alive and her mother first reported her missing.
