It depends on what offenses a defendant has actually committed and usually which offense is the greater crime or at times the case with the best evidence or ease of proof or even which state or agency has jurisdiction. It can be a combination of decisions but it depends on which district the crime was committed and which body has jurisdiction state or federal to which type of crime was committed usually federal offenses may be given precedence.

And cheating on one while she was in the hospital too. And correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t her s/o state that she had dated PF for six years? I think that’s right. Anyway, her s/o stated that PF cheated on her while she was in the hospital and then said “ take that for what it’s worth”.

ETA: can’t you just imagine what will come out in trial if that woman is called to testify and IF they actually dated 6 years? Oh yeah!

We know nothing about Ma or the rest of PF's family (other than names and some occupations). MOO, Ma looks like an enabler and whatever PF's deal is (psychopath, sociopath, etc), doesn't give me the impression of all being well on the home front and growing up. These monsters aren't made in a vacuum. This kind of deep seated character deficiency always has it roots in childhood.

My point was his actions are criminally his own. He hurt his family just as well. Psycho/Sociopaths may have some some family disorder but more often than not we are looking at a person with a disengaged conscious. His mother did not do that to him.

A domestic abuser may abuse only one woman in his life. It only takes one!

A man can go through changes as he ages. He can start abusing drugs or alcohol. He can meet someone who triggers hi somehow (not to blame the victim). Financial stress can make people do very horrible things.

Some fathers sexually abuse only one of their children and leave the others alone. The same with non-seual violence - one kid may be the target while others are left alone.

Consider that PF's parents divorced when he was 12, it's likely
that his parents didn't get along for quite a while. while we
really don't know what his homelife was like I will say many
young boys see the divorce and their dad leaving the home
as "abandonment" and live the rest of their lives as perpetually
angry.
Also we don't know what his dad was like or how he treated
the mom, But one thing was certain, his dad was a role model
even if subconsciously, for PF as he grew up.
Yes, PF's treatment of women and animals developed as he
was growing up and developing.

Almost half of American homes are divorced or no father homes. Homicide is not caused by abandonment issues or fatherless homes or divorce. It caused by a person deciding to make an impulse decision through bad decision-making or in this case a psycho/sociopath.

I take it that the S/O doesn’t have a good understanding of abuse. It comes in many forms. I am sure PF knew it well and used it often.

I saw a comment, on Youtube, that said something like somebody needs to go to Twin Falls and find out why things are so quiet there. I don't think I paraphrased that right because it was phrased in such a way that you got the feeling that something is going on there which has everyone keeping their lips zipped.

We sure did get the blizzard! We're still digging out of the blown 6 foot drifts. Everything is frozen solid too. :/ And waiting for more tonight I just heard on the local news. eta: waiting for 3 more storm systems to move though as well all the way through to Monday.

I sincerely doubt KL is in Tahiti or on a cruise ship. She has not been charged, as of yet, but I am certain it is coming. Cooperating from Tahiti? I think that's highly unlikely. She is involved and I believe not lightly and she isn't leaving the country. She is in no danger that I can think of, other than perhaps to herself. And, that in and of itself may be the answer to my original question

The state case of homicide will have precedence as well as the solicitation charges. As far as KL, we do not know but CBI and FBI have led those investigations which are federal. I would gather, those are to confirm her statements and gather evidence to support the case for soliciting and the phone transport. We all assume this is toward KL, I assume this is against the arrested PF.

When asking about "federal case" one must understand that the FBI only INVESTIGATES crimes. If a "federal case" is made, the FBI's evidence is turned over to the United States Attorney General for the state in which the crime occured, who decides whether there is sufficient cause for the federal government to press charges. That person is Jason R. Dunn. The link is to his official biography. Among his accomplishments is that he is an expert scholar on Colorado state law, as evidenced by his prestigious appointment to a clerkship on the Colorado Supreme Court. He would seem to be highly prepared to make the best decision, should there be any decision to make.

While some abusers do target only one victim, MOO is that PF most likely does not fall into that category based on his abusive treatment of animals, what appears to be his habit of cheating on women and his penchant for lying.

No. This was extensively discussed in earlier threads and the lawyers here on WS assured everyone that this court date was scheduled AFTER KB's disappearance, as a normal/usual/standard part of the process of securing a safe place for the baby with mom missing and dad in jail. Even though KB's name is listed (which as I recall was simply because she hasn't been legally declared dead).
