I read the original news report, which I think was done by one the the Colorado Springs news entities. The Gazette Telegraph newspaper sticks in my mind. What's missing here is that the ex-girlfriend was his high school flame. She was in the hospital. So it was a cheating worthy of Kanickie in "Grease" type scandal. The article implied, but did not actually say, that the current husband had hooked up with her on the rebound, and they had been a couple ever since. I tossed it as memories of bad times at Woodland High, until Slater's testimony revealed enough info to realize the girl he cheated with was probably KK. If I have that scandalous romance right, they worked together in the summer folowing high school graduation. Maybe they worked at one of the many summer camps in the Colorado mountains? IMO

It feels shocking, if it indeed was KK who PF cheated his then-girlfriend with while she was in hospital, that the same pair would now, years later, repeat the cheating spree – this time being unfaithful to KB.

That kind of devious behaviour speaks volumes about one's morals (or lack of), which PF and KK sure seem to have in common. IMO.

Does it matter if it was a tote bag or a hard plastic tote? I’m not sure that I see the significance of it or how it changes the outcome of the case? Can someone help me connect the dots please?
For the landfill search.
Whether the contents are still inside of the tote for me anyway.
If everything is in a zipped up bag, it makes their job easier!

Ok. I just found it in the affidavit. I don't know how to link it, but it says Meghan kept the gun in her car. So apparently KK didn't ask to borrow it. Imo
Thx I was just about to post the same!

Someone stated in a post a few days ago that after a body is burned, a woman's pelvic bone often remains. Since it wasn't a proper method of cremation, maybe there are some bones to be found, and not just fragments. Imo

That was me, this info was from someone who was part of the cremation of people on the Ganges river in India. They stated that with women not completely burned to ash, the pelvic bone were still intact afterwards. It was not a forensic site.

Keep in mind she only started dating him in July of 2018! So more than half of their fling was plotting KB's demise. wth ok, who would conspire to commit murder with a new boyfriend? or even an old one? Surely, this is not a case of self-defense either. The lady must be crazy.
Except that she knew him since high school… I don’t think you can put a time limit on crazy though.

OT: One of my first dispatch calls was a woman who needed help because a guy she had dated for less than a month… A month… had been stalking her for over a year and was trying to break into her house. People are crazy

Well, personally, I just think of it as being "that black thingy LE is looking for."

That probably doesn't connect any dots, though. Sorry I can't be of any help, ab!
Black thingy.
Yes!!! That works.

It is against federal law to transport a loaded gun. iirc, Meghan told LE there should be seven bullets, one was missing and she discovered a bullet in the chamber.

Notwithstanding any state or local law, a person shall be entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearms if the firearm is unloaded and in the trunk.

In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm shall be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. Necessary stops, e.g., gasoline and rest, seem permissible.

Interstate Transportation of Firearms
Whether it is legal or not to carry a firearm in a vehicle, loaded or not, is governed by State law. The federal law referred to says that if you are traveling interstate, despite any State law prohibiting firearms, a person may transport a firearm in that state provided that it is in the trunk and unloaded. Colorado allows a loaded handgun in a vehicle, Idaho I believe does not.

I'm hung up on the inconsistency between what KK reported and what LE has reported finding in regards to the crime scene. LE reports seem to indicate the bathroom was covered in blood; however KK seemed to report that there was blood everywhere in multiple living spaces. I am also highly suspicious of her ability to clean up as much blood (dried/caked on by this point) as she reported in less than 4 hours per the timeline of events (7am key pick up to 11am sonic video).

I have a problem with the bathroom blood evidence too, I think that is where he killed KB, is the only way to account for blood being on the bottom of the trash can and the bath mat missing. I think he shut the door, so baby K would not hear, and hit her.

And I’ve only ever heard Hard plastic bins referred to as totes. In fact my wife asks me to bring up the Christmas totes every year. Maybe it’s a region sorta thing idk. But I still am not sure it makes a difference weather it was a bag or tote....anyways I’m moving on.
It doesn't really make a difference. Some were wondering how a dark stain would appear on the hay if it was plastic, and were wondering if it was a different material, that's all.

Gotcha thx, I was just wondering the significance. Appreciate your response

As SF, or others, are able to go through items at the 'ranchette', any other incriminating evidence missed, may now be removed.
Similarly at KB's, KK's.
Perhaps there were items missed, that may be involved in the murder, clean up, disposal etc

Actually the affidavit says that LE contacted and interviewed Meghan.....

I asked you why you believe Meghan lied to the FBI about the gun?

Meghan also contacted the FBI later and told them KK had called to apologize and said she was going to cooperate with LE.

Please see #54- 57 on the AA. Nowhere does it indicate the FBI didn't believe Meghan.

That's interesting. I just hope in this case there is something substantial like that they can find.

I wonder if Meghan specifically asked KK about if she had fired the gun. And if so, what did the KK say?

KK did travel interstate--Colorado, Utah, Idaho-- and Meghan told the FBI she never kept the gun loaded and when she checked it, it was loaded and also that a bullet was missing.

It's in item #54 - 57 on the Arrest Affidavit.

KB was on her period when she was murdered, the defense pointed that out during last week’s testimony. CBI agent Slater confirmed he found tampons in her trash can.

Ditto - I do wonder who came up with the tote idea? And what did he purchase at Walmart? I think the tote - and someone may have given him advice on which one IMO. Or else he had it in his truck all along and it was just convenient the day of the murder? JMO.

Because it appears PF is such a cheap skate, I would think it was an item he already possessed: why waste his pennies on something to later burn.
MOO.

Ok, I just posted about that so I guess she told them about the gun when she was questioned. But still, she wasn't the one who transported the gun, so I guess if KK wasn't charged with that she wouldn't be either. Imo
KK can still be charged by the Feds. They don't take kindly to being lied to.

Yes. I'm just saying that Federal law doesn't prohibit the transportation of a firearm in a vehicle. That is governed by State law. I don't know where Meghan kept her gun in her car or if she or KK had a concealed permit. However, KK's transportation of KB's gun later, could be charged as a federal felony (assuming the Feds are not prohibited from doing so by her plea agreement).
