So

I thought I had a great response to this then realized I was off by about 17 days. Can you guys help me on dates here? December 4th what happens with PF? I know this is the day KK decides she needs a new phone. I can go back and look but it’s just way easier if you guys fill me in quick.
Arrest Affidavit statements #42 & 49 are specific to 12/4 when investigators seized PF phone, and KK obtained a new phone. Anything else is speculation.

Indeed, I will be skiing for the first time in 20 years, with my son who will be snowboarding for the first time. I have heard about all the snow- good for us, but bad for the search.

Bringing this back on topic, has there been any discussion about how unusual it is for a body to be moved twice?

Does anyone have thoughts on why PF waited to move KB to the ranchette on the 24th? He didn’t really need help, did he? Why was the decision made to wait until KK was there? I wonder if that was mostly his idea to involve her. Or possibly she wanted to be there or had promised to follow through with some sort of commitment to help erase ALL evidence of a crime that IMO, was the result of conspiracy by (at least) these two people.

I just remember before we heard any of these details, that some had mentioned the likelihood of PF moving the body being very slim. Perhaps logistics of caring for a baby, and a family holiday played a role. It definitely added more risk, but it seems these two were not afraid of risk. Or, were just too wreckless to stop and consider degrees of risk.

KK said PF asked her to take the body and she declined. Perhaps that's what prompted the fire.

Nope, against TOS MOO
So these “Interviews with friends of both Kelsey and Patrick” occurred only in your opinion then? I’m confused.

Can someone refresh my memory without looking it up, what was the date of our first interview that was a long one, and what date was the one that was only 90 minutes or so?

And in the response, do you recall the locations of both of them. The first one was in Boise, the second one was down by at the town his brother works?

First one was actually by phone on the 14th. Idaho on the 17th when she said she was getting a lawyer. Then it says she eventually cooperated.

I always thought she said she burned hers as well but that does not makes any sense now that I think about it, the date would have been wrong. Maybe that was a burner phone. I believe she told her ex she lost it as you say. Hmmm... Will have to go looking when less tired.

If this case is just going to now drive you crazy you are doing better than I because I have been there and back several times lmao.

From Tippy Lynn's excellent recap at the top of the thread, November 24:

  • KK threw the KB’s townhome keys into a gorge in Gooding, Idaho and the burner phone was thrown out in Breckinridge.
  • KK to police she burned KB’s phone & a burner phone in her yard.
  • KK told police she burned KB’s phone and their burner phones at her house in Idaho and disposed of what was left at work.

There's a bit of confusion here, because IIRC, KK got two (at least) burner phones. She used the first one when she visited KB at the condo in September. I believe that's the one that got tossed in Breckenridge. She bought a second one and I think that is the one that she burned along with KB's phone.

No mention of what she did with the phone she told her ex-husband she lost on the same day PF surrendered his.

I have to agree. Additionally, most people that I am aware of have described him as pretty quiet. I find her overboard details odd and not just with the tote. If I had a deal where if I lie, the deal is null and void, I would think I would keep my answers less detailed as she was really good at doing when it involved her movements (or so it seems, maybe it was just left out since she is not the focus of the case).

Liars often give TMI as they try to create a believable story.

Could be, but I'm inclined to believe LE had him under surveillance 24/7 from an adjacent property. I suspect they saw PF and SF loading up and getting ready to head out and cut them off at the pass before they got to a highway. All went according to plan and no unnecessary drama or injuries. AND baby K was safely taken. I've thought all along that PF and SF were going to hide baby K with someone as they felt the walls closing in on them. MOO

PF's house or barn can't be seen from any adjacent property. My guess is that LE stationed someone at the next property to the east, which has an excellent downhill view of that front gate to PF's property that was used a lot. I think the interception of PF down on the flat away from the buildings was serendipitous, but a total surprise to all. SF being right behind him was an inconvenience to LE, and certainly would not have been incorporated into their plan. IMO

heehee, I wish I had Pommy's awesome *puke* emoji. Hard as I try I can't imagine a scenario where PF has a playful or charming side. I know he must surely.....but I can't bring the mental picture to my mind.

Even when PF was 'lugging' baby K around before he was arrested, he seemed cold and stern. The way he handled her was odd to me. Not arm around with her cuddling into him, but PF with his arm around her middle holding baby K outward. IDK, maybe it's because I now know what he's done, but even back then it seemed distant to me.
ITA. Not a normal way to hold a child IMO.

On page 7 of the AA, after 59. the heading is: "The cooperation of Krystal Lee onDecember 20,2018"
I take from this, that this was the "biggie" interview of 4 1/2 hrs, where she starts telling the truth, sort of, IMHO.

Absolutely agree. The 11/22 to 11/25 documentation starting at paragraph 16 was only between PF and KB PHONES.

I'm sure law enforcement has looked and hopefully learned how he communicated to her that his phone was taken from him on the fourth and to destroy her phone and get a new one.

LE takes his phone and he uses someone else's to call KK and alert her.

My guess then is she kept it but did not use it to contact him but used another burner. When she knew PF's phone was being confiscated, she got rid of hers. Has it been said? Unsure now.

Too many phones, too many vehicles, etc., etc. etc.

So there were actually three if one counts the first recorded phone call. I would bet she was really busy again from that point forward...

So very true. It is one of the top signs of lying...

Yes, because somewhere it's stated that on the 21st, after PF was arrested, that she went on a "tour" with LE to the the condo, the ranchette and also to Nash Ranch to point out the areas of interest/evidence.

I'm no expert on cellphones. If she pulled the SIM card from her cellphone (the one she claimed she 'lost') and any additional storage (micro-SD card), would the phone then be 'clean' enough to give to someone else to use with their own SIM, assuming the phone wasn't proprietary to a particular provider?

If so, that would mean she might have a SIM card with data that LE might not otherwise have access to? Would the SIM have text messages? I ask because I thought cellphone providers have records of texts but not the actual content of the texts.

I think it's interesting because PF surrendered his phone. He must have thought there was nothing LE could get from it - or that he had safely erased anything potentially incriminating.

Of course, this is also the bright boy that lied and got caught on multiple cameras.

As confusing as we WS geniuses find the "which phone is which?" saga, imagine how difficult it was for the not-so-smart KK to remember which phone to use at what time!
