Yeah, I don't know with regard to the bat thing. Other than evidence, and what her parents have to live with (which is bad enough in any which way, shape or form it happened), I do not know what difference it makes, since to date, it only comes allegedly from PF's account to KK not from any official source that it is what indeed happened. It seems meant to throw things off or something. As said earlier by the other poster, who wants to stage suicide but then does something like that. Just does not make sense.

BBM. This is like the kid's old game of 'telephone'. PF told KK something (we have no idea how true or embellished) and KK told her version of it to LE. Two world class liars and KK never actually saw the murder, she alleges she never saw the body.

If I have it correctly, it was her father, her ex and her buddy, MG, saying she was in Idaho on Thanksgiving. I would still like to see her phone records (that would be the phone that she destroyed) and pings that prove that, only because her circle seems to be a bunch of shady characters. Three people saying it is pretty good evidence but records and pings would remove any doubt. I do believe she was in Idaho, though. She probably has other family who will vouch for her being home, as well.

if she loses/destroys her phone and gets a new one (would the time line support her shooting her own phone with MG's gun?) aren't her calls and texts still "in the cloud" and/or still in other people's phones? e.g., if she is communicating with MG about swapping vehicles, does MG's phone record and retain that her calls/messages came from ID not CO?

Me thinks KK withholds a last piece to the puzzle. Withholding for a rainy day, in case PF murmurs that he'll testify and throw her under the bus. I wouldn't have thought she had the nous, so imo it would be the legal adviser who has the smarts. But hey, that's just moo. June 2019 is still a long way off...

• KB's mom called PF on KB's whereabouts
• 12:37 p.m. CB reported to the WPPD that she had not been able to communicate with KB in over a week and requested WPPD conduct a welfare check at her residence. Officers responded to KB’s residence in WP, CO and were unable to locate KB. Her Family reported that it would be highly unusual for her to leave without informing any of her friends or family. A missing person investigation was initiated.

Yes......her calls all still exist on the cloud, and LE has them all. What they don't have is the pings from before the crime.
Yes......LE implies that they have all of MG's calls with KKL, and they all originated and were received in Idaho. I believe in court, all the little nifty stars and lines will form a pattern centering on the Wal-Mart parking lot in Jerome, Idaho. I had a comment for that, but have chosen to leave it alone, for now.
Yes......the timeline certainly allows her time to set the two phones on the ground, one on top of the other, and blast them with one shot. Or, she could have tied a rubber band around the both of them and pitched them into Malad Gorge with the keys. She chose to burn them in her yard. Then she said she took them to work, and disposed of them (in the hospital incinerator), thus burning the burnt burner phone, again
The dynamic duo was not big on efficiency. If it was worth doing once, it was worth doing two or three times. IMO

I totally agree, but what I replied to was how a forensic expert can deduce how the crime played out by the blood spatter, trajectory and such. Wouldn't an attempt at cleaning destroy that part of the evidence? I understand the blood can still be detected.

Because the blood had already dried, it could be that where it was visibly washed off it still left it's original stain (not smeared). Just a guess.

Thank you. Then the custody papers, at that time, make sense. He or they think they've got an opportunity to say Kelsey was crazy and not fit to share custody.

Yes. Routinely. I have one right now that I've been litigating since 2011. Kid is now 7.

He's a violent guy (opposing party), with a drug and serious alcohol problem. Years of steroid abuse.

He acts like he loves the kid but basically pawns her off on whatever new chick he's seeing who hasn't figured out how dysfunctional he is yet. The little kid is at risk of developing attachment issues as a result of her constant bonding with and then loss of this parade of caretakers.

When no one is looking he doesn't give a you know what. He always jumps up his game before court but in between he is neglectful. Kid covered in flea bites. Constantly late to school. Comes to school with too small clothes on backward. No honework. No lunch. Forgets to pick her up. Let his (then) 5 year old cross heavy traffic to get to school because he's too lazy to get there early enough to walk her in, or walks across the busy parking lot with her trailing behind, not holding her hand. He lets her swim while he's getting wasted on the beach or by the pool, etc.

We've had evidence for years but not admissible evidence. People would tell us what was going on but then refuse to testify.

I finally got one willing to testify.

Another one who I subpoenaed straight up refused to come out of fear for her safety and the safety of her own son.

This is one where if we win this round he could easily come after me and he's heavily armed.

And I think we are going to win.

OMG, he sounds just like my sister's ex. Same pattern of behavior. God bless you for representing anyone going through this hell. It must be very stressful for you. I'll say a prayer for the safety of all of you.

When my sister went to a therapist and started to get this all out, the therapist stopped her, saying she didn't have to go on and he proceeded to tell her exactly what her ex was like and he was right on the money. That's how predictable the behavior is. And, btw, you mentioned that word "enmeshed". Same thing with him. Very interesting factor.

Since 2011. Wow. Same as my sister. It dragged on for years and she never did win. He retained joint custody until they reached 18, giving him plenty of time to do serious damage to everyone. I'm sure if a custody battle ever played out between Kelsey and PF, it would been the same and he would made her life hell.

This makes no sense at all:

The relationship with PF would be less than a year old in early 2017. Kelsey had a good job in her ideal field. She was not cleaning houses or waiting tables trying to find a job at that point. There was no reason for them to be arguing over finances.

Kaylee was born in October 2017.

Kelsey would either be not pregnant, not knowing she was pregnant, or in her very very early first trimester in "early 2017"

None of the above holds together

And as I think this through, I feel immense sadness for the tragedy of this sparkling bright woman ending up in the clutches of this con-man who killed her

In "early 2017" KKL and lovesickness because of her could have been the reason for KB pointing her gun to her head. She didn't know KKL, but maybe felt, there was another woman in the play. That would make a sense to me, for KB being very unhappy and desperate at this time.
Since PF wouldn't have admitted to being a cheater on KB, he told a story with "disput about finances" as a reason. If KB herself told her mum about the incident, then she also might have mentioned another than the true reason (cheating by her lover). IMO MOO

I feel like the big question is why didn’t LE just say where KK’s phone pinged when PF called her on Nov.22. They give out all of this other phone ping data on the 24th and 25th but leave that one important piece (at least to me) out. Maybe I missed it somewhere. Does anyone have that info? I don't think it was stated. They only said an Idaho number, but not where it pinged.

The Pros left out many little tidbits. They made a point of showing exhibits of PF's truck at the ENT Credit Union ATM drive-through and gave the date of 11/22, and mentioned the baby carrier is in the passenger seat with a tote in the bed - but they never mentioned the time stamp. A bank will have the most accurate time stamp IMO, and there may be a conflict in the Pros story there.

They mentioned KB on the furniture store surveillance driving by at 12:37. They mention PF on the same camera, but gave no time stamp.

KK was driving all over WP on 11/24, yet they only mention her at Sonic. No other cameras saw her? Everything I checked in WP is a 5 minute drive from KB's townhome - Walmart, Safeway, credit union - very small town.

The Pros was only trying to show probable cause and tell a brief story. They won't help the Def build their case but the Pros does have to provide everything they find out to the Def. Going into the Prelim, the Def only had the AA and nothing else. JMO
