The affidavit says that KKL's cell phone last connected with the Cripple Creek tower (while she was in the vicinity of Nash ranch) at 6:14 pm on the 24th. Next, KKL's phone pinged "on the Colorado - Utah border" at 4:13 am on the 25th and just moments later KB's pinged. I believe Investigator Slater testified that KKL got more than 2 hours, but a little less than three hours of sleep between Florissant and there. It's a 5.5 hour drive. The total of 8.5 hours driving and napping time subtracted from the 4:13 ping time pinpoints KKL leaving PF's ranch no later than 7:45 pm on the 25th. (As a check, the additional drive from the Colorado - Utah border to Hansen, Idaho would have put KKL arriving at 10:30 am on the 25th, which is exactly the time Slater said she did.)
Assuming that it took PF and KKL a half hour to drive back to the ranch from the Nash ranch barn, we can asssume that PF pulled the tote out of his truck around 6:45 pm. With KKL departing at 7:45 pm, it only leaves one hour for her to help start the fire and watch it burn.
I'm of the opinion that after an only an hour, KKL had little opportunity to actually see much. I suspect that PF later notified her by phone when it was done, and that her only knowledge of "scooping it up" was from his description.
I could certainly be wrong. IMO

people have been saying Passat, but it's a Jetta
(mpg- 30-40; 14.5 gal tank)
para #43

https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/04th_Judicial_District/Teller/caseofinterest/2018CR330/Application and Affidavit for Arrest Warrant.pdf

the essence of the math is the same though- not a lot of fill ups needed
Paragraph 43 doesn't say anything about a vehicle. See Paragraph 51 - it says MG is the owner of a 2012 Volkswagon Passat. Several news articles have reported it as a Jetta, though. :confused:o_O

In which case, could then the melted plastic balls contain DNA particles? Like when an oyster makes a pearl? Make sense? Just asking...

In the hearing, Investigator Slater said that the material had been tested, and contained only black burnt plastic and accelerant. IMO

oops.... para #46
Paragraph 46 is describing a portion of the interview that Twin Falls detectives had with C.L.
Paragraph 51 is the words of Commander Adams of the WPPD, describing his telephone interview with MG, who owns the car.

Thanks, Dave! I must have missed that when I was reading.
Then on second thought, if they've already tested it, I'm wondering if Trace could find anything more. IMHO, they're the miracle section.

KK must have a stomach made of steel to have cleaned up the mess and to knowingly sit through a bonfire that’s burning another humans life. I cant even fathom this. Just this whole thing hurts my heart so bad for KB and her whole family. I have been a nurse for 20 years and we take an oath to value every human life. KK and PF don’t value much of anything by their actions they’ve displayed IMOO.

Maybe PF was wearing the tshirt under another his sweater or shirt that got bloody?

reading the affidavit over, was it PF's sweater that was supposedly used as a blindfold? I imagined KB's, but KK has PF telling her to find the sweater and discard it which she states she does. Maybe it was PF's, if you believe the candle/sweater ruse occurred.

stomach of steel: ate two slices of pizza and had an ibuprofen

if KB was in the tote for 2 days, wouldn't there be a decomposition odor already? no mention of that.

Do you have the page or paragraph for this? Thx.

It was stated in the Attachment 1 that the camera was an ARLO-1, part of an Amazon Echo based wireless system. The camera only comes on when activated by the motion sensor. If the user does not have it hooked to the Amazon SMART system or to a paid app, it will only take a picture and log it on the Amazon Cloud, then send a text message asking if the user wants to view it. The free service allows only a limited number of these instances, then shuts down.
Most people buy the app download, which gives them the ability to activate the camera any time and see what's in view. With the app, it will also notify the user of snapped opportunities that happen when the app is not activated, and the user can select whether he/she wants to view them or not.
An example would be that UPS delivers a package while the user is having a latte at Starbucks. The user gets a text saying the ARLO 1 designated "Front Door" has snapped a picture. Said user uses his/her UPS tracking app to determine that yes, the expected package was just delivered. Said user declines to view the image, saving a little money in the process, and Amazon deletes it from the Cloud.
My son uses an ARLO hooked to a device that I haven't yet seen. Every work day at a certain time he dials in the app and calls his Yorkie, who is asleep on a step at home alone. The dog runs to the device and my son causes it to drop a treat. The dog is happy, and my son is extremely happy. Welcome to the new world order. IMO

Dave, give your son a cuddle.
He sounds great.:):):):)
Lucky Yorkie, to be treated so well.
I think he must be in charge, and has your gorgeous son, around his paw.
My little one here, is jealous as this sounds so good.

We will be so delighted when these two evil jerks fall on there faces.:D:D:D:D
Not too long to go.
Even now, both their lives are miserable, while we will look at them with distaste.
Hope they feel this continually.

I must have missed something. He paid for it? And was going to flip it? I mean it is a realistic assumption do not get me wrong, I am just wondering if I missed that this is known? I thought she just told him like her aunt wanted to get rid of it so KK gifted it to him?? (Eye roll here)...

Lucky KK's friend paid for this gun, if that is the case.
It will all add into KK's kitty to pay her top Lawyers, as now this poor thing is out of work.
YIPPEE>
Hope all her savings, plus that from helpers, goes down the drain.
KK certainly is already paying for her deeds, and it will continue for yonks.
MOO.

It is interesting to me that with the gun, she did not just toss it like she allegedly did with KB's cell phone.

I have wondered what the financial situation is as yes, those top lawyers have to cost some bucks.

yes... if you recall, in the later camera recording of PF, they say the person "looks like PF" and seems to be wearing a clean white shirt. if the camera is that far away, the images could be less distinct. (just occurred to me- did he get himself a new shirt at Walmart? the killer always returns to the scene of the crime ...to change clothing.... would be dumb.)
White shirt and cap - was that mentioned with a purpose?? They didn't speak of the friend's outfit, who picked up a package, or of the utility worker's (orange? green? yellow?). Okay, PF is the arrested suspect. Maybe, it's only relevant for him. White shirt, no bloodstains.

Has KK made any rest stops along her way to Colorado where she could have been seen on camera? Could she (or at least the car she was in) have been seen on any traffic cameras? Were there any cameras at or near the Woodland Park Community Center? What about somewhere along the path from the center to Kelsey's house?
The Smollett case is a great example. There are traffic cameras at lights aimed at each license plates, tolls take photos, and digital film, businesses, rest stops, state parks are all examples of the photo opportunities. This plus cellular phones really details the whereabouts of a person. I think PF & KKL tried to confuse this system with changing cars, use of burner phones, and switching each other as the perpetrator.

I learned a lot about decomposition from the Mollie Tibbetts thread.
How quickly the body decomposes depends on age and gender, the climate, and the cause of death.
In a hot and wet climate it occurs faster, in a cold and dry climate, it could take up to 24 hours for a strong odor to occur.
Also, assuming the top was not taken off the container, they may not have been able to smell anything. Imo

As much as I can't stand that evil b**** and would like her to have been there and also go to prison, she's got people saying she was in Idaho. We have not seen her phone records which which prove it, though, so I do want to see those. I would assume LE has gone over them and would not take anyone's word for it. At least, I hope not. I'm sure we'll find out. AFAIK, her phone not was pinging in Colorado until after Thanksgiving. While she liked burner phones, she still used her own during the clean up and on her return trip so I don't think she had it one of those little bags or removed the battery or sim card, otherwise she would have done so for the entire trip.

PF terrorized poor Kelsey with his violent temper. While I find the candle and sweater story to be ludicrous, too, I have no doubt he was perfectly capable of beating her to death with a bat because of his rage.
In general, when a person confesses, in this case PF to KKL, the person seeks to make what they did "socially acceptable." The Reid Institute for Interviewing and Interrogation literally developed and wrote the techniques and book on this topic. All the talk of sharing dinner, romantic blindfolds, candles, the child waiting cozy in the back room are means to make PF feel like less of a monster so he doesn't show his real self. Most likely he had the bat in a corner out of the way. With the child put away, he attacked KB which may have included pulling her garment she was wearing over her face or he used a sweater to cover her face after he had beat her to cover her. It would not surprise me if he left candles burning to cover the smell of blood and removed those at the time of cleaning. This is an imaginative story being told by a monster not for our benefit but for KKLs. This makes him feel better about himself and releases stress.
