<modsnipped to remove a quote and comment that were off-topic>

Back on topic, I'm so glad that we have other people here who do know technology, and use it with cases and research, and share it with others. And especially appreciative of all those in law enforcement that used technology to get to the bottom of this case. There was quite a bit of it and I do try to understand the phone pings and all of the technology when it comes to a case!

You made me laugh out loud. I just think defense lawyers would need to honestly tell him he should plead guilty. Then I think of Jose Baez and the Florida jury.

Pointing at KK will not work for him. He will need for her to recant her story and take the fall for him. She isn’t that sick.

Yes. Absolutely.

As a former breast-cancer patient with multiple surgeries, I am very concerned about this. Plus, she is licensed to practice in multiple states.

I'm thinking the Nursing Board will not revoke her license until she is actually proven guilty and sentenced. Time will tell.

And lastly, may Today be the Day that KB's remains are found.
Amen, from a sister survivor.

Bumping for Kelsey.
Hoping for news soon from the landfill !

Not sure if this is possible... but could they use some of PF's bank account towards this search ?
Or charge it to the franchette ?
I know... it's way 'out there' thinking.
No.

So sorry for what you have endured. KKL should never practice nursing again. Hope her reputation follows wherever she lands.

Thanks. I much, much appreciate it.

And, I agree - I hope KKL's reputation will follow her everywhere.

Can someone tell me when the next court date is?

Amen, from a sister survivor.

Thanks. Not to derail the thread, but I hope you are doing well.

@Yellow Rose : From what I've read upstream, I think April 5th is the next court date.

She's pretty much sunk unless she relocates to a country without the Internet.

Well-deserved!

RSFF:

WATCH Landfill search in Kelsey Berreth case could come with high costs

Just regurging this old video clip from back in Feb. re: the landfill search as it has some good info for review.
No specific numbers provided as to cost, but it does give comparable info that indicates the cost could approach 6 figures. Not cheap.

In this article from back at the onset of the search it states the search will take around 35 days or so:
How investigators will search a landfill for Kelsey Berreth's remains - CNN

Whereas this article gives a range of 16-80 days for the landfill search to be completed:
Fountain landfill to be searched for Kelsey Berreth's remains

Given that we're around 26 calendar days past the start date, with almost certain weather-related interruptions, it's probably safe to say that the search remains ongoing at this time.

It would be great if one of the local stations or media outlets would provide an update on the search progress, although LE and DA May may not want PF & Co. to be provided with any helpful updates, so there's that.

JMO.
I read somewhere sorry no link ! That there were quite a few volunteers from other counties helping including LE personnel.

I checked KKL's nursing license status. It still shows "unencumbered", but it expires August 31, 2019. I suspect it won't be renewed any time soon.

From the link below:

Nursys®
Honestly I would not be surprised if she is working somewhere.
Adding : If she convinced a medical facility she was coerced and skeeered !

<modsnip - off topic>

I would be interested to know what level KK was with her technology, obviously she knew a little about burner phones but not enough ! She should of known about DNA and blood residue at the very least but she didn't. She was old enough to know a line when she heard it from a man but she didn't. She should of known driving 1600 miles to see a 🤬🤬🤬 was just crazy on her part but she didn't. She should of known better than to place herself in Woodland Park after a murder but she didn't.
She did know enough about saving her own arse and she did.
So Far .....

I don't know, MP. Wish I believed that.

Make no mistake: KK bears some culpability for her actions, and her inactions, r/t KB's murder. I'd love to think she'll suffer some lasting repercussions for her involvement.
If anybody deserves to be treated like a social pariah for the rest of her miserable life, it's that unholy creature.

Unfortunately, I don't think KK will suffer any meaningful long-term consequences, aside from possible loss of income if she loses her nursing license.
The general public is largely uninformed, and has a notoriously short memory.
TBH, I think she could probably move one county over and most people wouldn't know who she was.

I suspect KK's going to sail out of that courtroom and off into the sunset, pretty much unscathed. I'm pretty well resolved to that outcome.

Just as long as PF dies in prison.

After what has happened today in the news, I am so glad that the district attorney for this case made her admit that she was guilty, and put a condition that she will not talk to the media.

I did not realize at the time what a godsend all that was until today and realizing what can happen in a case if the person does not plead what they did, and a muzzle is put on them.

She could easily change her last name while she fades off into that sunset, her plea may be enough to keep her for losing her license as unjust as that would seem. It would be interesting to know the history of leniency in similar cases concerning her RN license.

Yep, heard the day's bombshell announcement, and without derailing this thread, I totally agree: What happened today is a complete travesty. What a terrible miscarriage of justice!
It's shocking...even for that thoroughly corrupt city.

We all need to be extremely thankful that DA May has more integrity in his pinky finger than the prosecutor in that other case has in her entire crooked body.

KK had to plead guilty. She is not going to get to play the victim card.
She isn't going to be able to go around protesting her innocence to the media.

She's going to have to keep her yap shut.
As we all know, this will be extremely difficult for her, given her propensity to shovel pizza, Sonic, etc., in it.

JMO.

THIS^^^^

I agree - the public has a very short memory. I was thinking about this as I was walking today. I'd be willing to bet there are people who never heard of Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and some of the other high-profile killers.

Let's hope she never practices nursing or works with patients in any capacity, but I'm not optimistic.

I shall continue to wear my magic rainbow cloak of optimism, GK.

The memories of the people who were jealous of KK's Rodeo Queen trophies (and we know how girls and their Mamas can be so that's a lot) will be long and they'll bring up the crime at every gathering.

The townsfolk and the hospital staff will matter a lot and they'll be googling KK forever to discover what's up.

Even her obituary will mention PF's name and how KK cleaned a bloody crime scene. The photo from the hearing will be on the front page. (Maybe they'll even write how pregnant she looked.)

I just don't think the sunset will be so lovely. MOO

I take some small measure of comfort in the thought that KK may in fact be lurking on this forum, reading everybody's scathing condemnation of her.

She of the iron stomach shall not get off scot free here on KB's thread.

He’s certainly comfortable with inflicting violence; too comfortable.

I don’t think he’s ever killed before, as this type of crime isn’t indicative of something a serial killer would do.

It was purposeful, albeit evil.

Animals though? You betcha.
In a way, I think he thought of KB as an animal. Instead of seeing her as the mother of his child, he saw her as no more than a broodmare, and now it was time to separate the filly from the mare.

I still wonder what excuse he will conjure up. And if anyone in the courtroom will keep a straight face. Will his brother or mother convince him to plead guilty?
I don't think anyone will smile. I know that when I hear someone tell a blatant lie, it makes me angry. I think we will have plenty to be angry about.
