I agree with the first part Trocroc9. But with respect to PF being stupid? He certainly didn't think everything through. Got too complicated. Too many differing stories, and since "lies have short legs" it gets hard to keep things straight and in sync. Same goes for KK. I'm reminded of something a professor said many years ago about a famous writer (can't remember who now) that in a letter to a friend he closed with something to the effect of, "If I'd had more time, this letter would be shorter."
PF planned this for some time and he couldn't get it right. He should have reminded himself of the "KISS" method, "Keep it simple stupid." PF may not be "special needs" but he's no genius to become a suspect from the minute LE and her family knew she was legitimately missing. Involving KK doesn't make him a Mensa candidate either
