So far there are three scenarios concerning the Gooding ping (as I can see). (1) sending Kelsey's phone in the mail set to send texts to the employer and PF. (2) PF making the trip himself. (3) asking someone (or paying them) to take the phone on the trip and send the texts. This was over Thanksgiving, lots of college students going back to college in Idaho and Washington. I wonder if PF knew any college students who were going back to a college in the NW US? Examining his phone, text messages around Thanksgiving would show this.
I'd throw in "false ping" to cover all bases, although I don't want to revive the discussion regarding how technically possible that might be.

Wait—isn’t a fourth scenario that she sent them herself? I know the most likely scenario is foul play closer to home, but we don’t even have evidence of a struggle at this point.

Definitely. I think, unfortunately, it’s less likely that she has just decided to run off. But it can’t be ruled out. There’s no evidence of really anything at this point. That LE has shared at least.

BTW, I have read about Adventists in Wikipedia. Very interesting. It is a large group, 20+ mln, and while some are very conservative, there is quite a liberal group, with more progressive views of homosexuality. Some are even pro-choice in selected cases. They are vegetarians, or rather, their food choices are healthy.

All I understood was that we may not assume anything about KB or her family just because they are religious.

I could see the following hypothetical:

They break up.

If she has full custody and he’s not on the birth certificate (both are hypothetical - we don’t know), she is derailed that he would do this to her on Thanksgiving and off the cuff says something like “well, the only reason I have been staying here in CO is bc I thought things were going to work out between us..so I may just take K and move back.”

He panics and reacts badly. Big fight.

She leaves or something bad happens...

Granted, my mind is still open to less likely explanations that don’t involve PF too. But I am just saying that I can see how this general fear of losing a baby could prompt a big response.

Even with another woman, there is no motive.
Just look at it from a conventional standpoint.
Two people get together and there is pregnancy. Happens. Mom is religious. There is a kid. They move close, both are in kid's life, both carry on with lives/careers, there is a formal/informal parenting plan, no marriage officially on the way, they live separately. There is no divorce in case of another woman. Both participate in child rearing. No domestic violence.
No reason to kill, in my opinion. Anything can be resolved. The guy is spending more money on a criminal lawyer now than he would have spent on any family lawyer.

One possible motive could be child custody. They were not married. And we don't know for sure that he was even on the Birth Cert.

What if KB decided that she wanted to move back to Wash or Idaho, with her baby, to be closer to family, since she and PF were not really together anymore? How would he react to that?

I think he would be very angry at that idea. It would possibly trigger a violent response, imo.

I wonder what she is living on? Surely LE will be checking to see if her CC or bank account has been accessed?
Yes...I asked about this before but what if her grocery store visit was for non perishable items? We’ve not seen video of her leaving the store and what was in her cart.

So random thoughts.......but looking at KB’s FB she appears to have been a planner (reference to a BBQ) so I’m highly doubting if she was truly headed to Soap Lake she did not plan or tell anyone.
Right! And again......what would be her mode of travel?

PF has friends. The picture springing phone doesn't necessarily mean either KB or PF were with it.

Also I find it very hard to believe that KB would break up with her fiance suddenly, without having spoken to anyone in her family about it.

SNAP...that's exactly what I just posted, at same time...[great minds think alike?]

I agree.

Plus it’s just not good logic to say “I wouldn’t do that” so x wouldn’t. Every person is different.

And in extreme circumstances, under threat or fear—for example, people do things even they wouldn’t normally do.

Perfect example: if there were two cold cinnamon rolls left at my house, they would probably be left on the stove for anyone to pick at and then eventually we’d throw them out at the next meal. Does that mean if you stopped by my house mid-day any number of Saturday’s this year that people would think an emergency must have unfolded?:)

I just made a batch of cookies for myself...and my dog, if I feel like sharing. I don't see anything wrong with KB deciding to make herself some cinnamon rolls. Sure, she could have intended to share them with someone, but maybe she just likes to bake.

Oh no, it just occurred to me that PF saying they broke up is very akin to Watt's lies about "we had an emotional conversation" and telling people they had decided to separate.

Moo
Yep. And SW went on a play date with kids but her car was still there.

Police continue to search home of missing woman’s fiance

Details about what the search would cover on Saturday were not released, but Chief Miles J. De Young said the case “is the number one priority for the Woodland Park Police Department.”

De Young said the couple’s 1-year-old daughter remains with her father, who is continuing to cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation.

He also said his department continues to be in contact with the Teller County Department of Human Services in regard to the child’s custody, adding that department “does not have evidence that [the child’s] safety is at risk while in Patrick Frazee’s custody.”

She and the baby had them for breakfast by some reports and just because a person lives alone does not mean that they do not cook for themselves and their child.
I suppose my reasoning probably was inspired by the combination of baking cinnamon rolls, asking her mom for a recipe, then shortly afterwards, disappearing. Is it possible that the child's father stopped in and realized that she had plans to spend the holiday with someone else and.... hell broke loose. Maybe I simply have an overactive imagination.

They aren't showing her leaving the store for a reason. I don't know what it is, maybe someone is walking with her? How long was she in the store?how did she get to store?

Exactly. Even if you could come up with one, hitchhiking for example, it doesn’t explain LE being unable to track her movements for the three day period after Thanksgiving.

If one leaves willingly, it would be spectacularly odd for their phone to be off for that amount of time, only to send a couple text messages and go dark again.

If you’re planning to harm yourself, you don’t send text messages to work and your “fiancé” and no one else. You also don’t do this after a mysterious time gap.

This had to have been staged.

Welcome to Websleuths, jillianelaine. :)

Kelsey's brother said she made the cinnamon rolls for breakfast. She has a 15-month-old daughter, so she's at least a family of two. ♥ I would imagine she planned to eat the rest of them at a later time. Perhaps as snacks?
MOO
Thanks for the welcome!

I wonder if LE has checked with the little regional airports .There are a lot if little FBO s that are not manned 24/7. They do have security gates and cameras
LE had early contact with Doss Aviation (employer), and confident that between both agencies, they had that covered.
