I question her story. Plus, she's a nurse, a grown woman, with children. She can think for herself and make responsible decisions. Suggesting she fell for PF guilting her makes her seem lame. jmo

She is lame. She's a horrible person. Horrible people can be in emotionally abusive relationships and be manipulated by narcs just like anyone else. I think everyone has to let go of black and white thinking. Yes, she is getting off way too easy for her part. But we shouldn't allow that to deflect away from all the evidence that points to PF as the actual murderer. That's exactly what he wanted!

I agree but I think she is still lying and got too sweet of a deal. PF is the murderer and will go down for it, but she too has culpability imo.

KK obviously got a sweetheart deal but the DA thought they needed her. I'm inclined to agree. If you don't dot every i and cross every t, some jurors just cant convict. I've heard it said that jurors want TOO MUCH these days. I'm inclined to believe that after the OJ and CAnthony debacles.

Civil Suit by the Berreth's against PF - pending
KK's plea deal (tampering) - will be sentenced after her testimony in PF's trial

I'm here but have a question - this is the first real "trial thread" I've followed from the start. Are we only to discuss the tweets during the trial? Is there a "general discussion" thread we should post on if we want to discuss something not related to the trial? Thanks

I know KB's family will do a remarkable job on the stand. I do not think the defense can really tear down her testimony IMO.

As there is no dedicated trial thread, this one is a combination of general discussion and trial. It is just courteous to other members however while the court is in session to not be constantly interrupting or hijacking the flow of the conversation with things that are not immediately related. It's like people talking during a movie and interrupting the flow every couple of minutes.

PF and his Mom and Sister have been involved in an ongoing custody battle. PF has been trying to have the child given over to his mother and sister while he is 'away' in jail.

Thank Goodness the court has awarded temporary custody to the Bereth family---for now. But it is imperative that he is found guilty--or that baby could be back at that evil Franch.

The custody case is separate, and it is ongoing.

After PF is convicted and sentenced to life in prison, the B's should be able to seek termination of his parental rights and obtain full, permanent custody of Baby K.

I have no doubt that the F clan will contest this to the bitter end.

I also have no doubt that the F clan's efforts to gain custody of Baby K will fail spectacularly.

Thank God...and I say that reverently.

The time change didn’t change anything. Court still starts at 8:30 AM mountain time. That’s 10:30 AM eastern time and 9:30 AM central time. 7:30 AM Pacific time.

If you’re in one of the few areas that may have different time zones due to state laws you can probably figure that out.
