"You drove 750 miles with a baseball bat; the purpose of that baseball bat was to to kill #KelseyBerreth?" Steigerwald asked.
"It was at Patrick's request," Lee said.
"No baseball bats in Teller County?" Steigerwald shot back.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think PF is going to prison for the remainder of his life. But, you know one path the defense will go down is ... “Did you actually see the body in the tote?” “No.” “ Did you smell an awful stench like a burning body?” “No., just gas.“ Mama Frazee did you see or smell anything?” Silence. No body. No smell. How can you be sure? Where is she? Did PF tell KK practically everything except where he dumped the remains? And this is why I go back and forth on why KK thought the body was in the tote and if it was just items and the body was already somewhere else (hence no smell). How could there have been NO flesh burning smell? I doubt KK is lying about no smell, but she didn’t see a body, and I can’t get past this no smell thing. Is no smell POSSIBLE? Ugh.

Warning: Graphic

Hard plastic totes would have a distinctive odor when burned, IMO.

Human bodies have their own distinct odor when burned IMO and it's not something you ever forget once you've smelled it. :(

Neither one (totes vs. bodies) smells like the other, so there would've been at least 2 distinct odors during the fire KK testified about, IMO.

Lee was released from the stand, and will face no more questions today. (Lee also has gone by the last name of Kenney in the past).
I'll update more after the next round of testimony.

Earlier someone posted lat long to the exact google earth spot of the fire, it looked like there was a neighbor nearby, unless the Frazees have several large houses.

That is their house, barn and another outbuilding described as a shed. On Google Earth, follow the narrow dirt road southward to their gate on Wildhorn Road, then go a short distance eastward, turn northward through another gate and up to what looks like two houses but is actually a house and a shop / garage. That is the closest neighbor. The wind was blowing in gusts to 35 mph that night, directly across the F's place in the direction of that neighbor.
Also, the site of the fire is clearly visible from the Conoco station, especially a fire after dark. The Florissant volunteer fire station is next door to the Conoco, also faces the F's place. JMO

That's kind of silly, it's not like she had to tow a huge trailer all that way, ie that bat would take up no room. It would make a lot more sense to bring one than to buy one locally. Defense inept on that question, IMO.

He must not get out much or watch much walking dead and such. Jeez.

Well Walking Dead is the movies. And zombies. I think he didn’t imagine there would be as much blood as that. He probably thought her skull would just be crushed. I mean he’s not that bright.

He apparently didn’t realize how hard it would be to do. He said he wouldn’t do the same the next time because it wasn’t “humane”. He didn’t realize she wouldn’t be knocked out with one blow necessarily.

Here is the post with the lat long coordinates, that last one where the fire allegedly occurred shows 2 buildings fairly close together, maybe one is the neighbor who didn't see the fire.

the buildings to the north i think are on pf property. the buildings about 250meter east are neighbors. but i would have to hear what time the fire was and ehat the neighbors were doing at the time.

Do you think KK ever asked PF where KB’s remains are for sure?? After he disposed of them.

  • #690
This is another statement where I find myself doubting it’s validity. It’s hard to imagine PF saying he did something “inhumane” (hard to imagine him having the thought plus it’s an awfully big word for him to use). If he did say it. it’s entirely possible he said it to frighten KK into line. It’s also not hard to imagine KK fabricating it to make jurors believe she had reason to be scared. This would be one lie that no-one but PF could challenge and if he did nobody would know who to believe.

I think she may be lying about this particular statement, but I believe many others. And I believe PF is guilty of murder.
If he said it, I don't take it like he thought what he did was inhumane...I sadly get the impression he was bragging.

Good coaching here. Right answer.

Yeah I mean the defense attorney is right. Doesn’t mean she’s not telling the truth. Her account is supported by the evidence. And she wasn’t there the last time KB was ever seen entering her home alive.

Regarding the baseball bat, here is where I think his plan went askew.. I think that PF spent a great deal of time watching TV, specifically shows like Tom and Jerry, and Wile E Coyote. Hell, they beat each other over the head all the time, and there is never any blood!
Yeah, we're pretty tough!

Well if they were seen buying gas then maybe they did use gas. Stupid brave.
Hard to say... Where I live, most gas stations have both diesel and gas at the same pump. Diesel is on the left, gas on the right.

@gitana1

Do you think that’s it from KK, or were they just giving her some sort of a break?

ETA: The words “that’s it,” were mine. I meant for today.

PF told KK that he'd either deposit the debris in the river or at the landfill, and KK never questioned it. And knew better not to.

MOO

ETA: I misunderstood that it was over. Apparently just for today!

That’s it!!!?????

That was thin for someone who supposedly murdered LB somewhere on another day.

Wow. I thought they’d try their whole narrative with her. How the hell are they going to cast reasonable doubt and show she could’ve been the murderer??????

What?

ETA:

Ohhhhh!! I thought you said she was released. That can’t be it. If it is that’s crazy. She must be coming back.

Did the defense say “No further questions.”? If not, there’s more.

That tweet said no more questions 'today'. She may get called back...don't think she was released yet until I hear otherwise.
