RECAP - Mid Afternoon Tweets

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
UPDATE: Krystal Lee, the prosecution's star witness, comes under agressive cross-examination by #PatrickFrazee's public defender.

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
Public defender Adam Steigerwald repeatedly questions Lee about if she's aware she could be facing the rest of her life in prison, if she didn't cooperate with investigators and accept a plea deal with up to three years of prison time.

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
Steigerwald also sought to poke holes in Lee's testimony that she left clues at #KelseyBerreth's house and on way back to Idaho. If she wanted to be discovered, he asked, why not contact police before the killing about #PatrickFrazee's previous murder requests? @csgazette
3:14 PM - 7 Nov 2019

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
Steigerwald reviewed Lee's testimony from Wednesday and earlier today.
"That's the story that you had to tell those agents to get your plea deal, is that right?" "I had to tell them the truth," Lee responded.

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
Steigerwald also focused on the three times that #PatrickFrazee asked her to kill #KelseyBerreth, which Lee backed out of each time. One of those times, Lee drove from Idaho with a baseball bat in her car, which Frazee asked her to use to kill Berreth. @csgazette

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
"You drove 750 miles with a baseball bat; the purpose of that baseball bat was to to kill #KelseyBerreth?" Steigerwald asked. "It was at Patrick's request," Lee said. "No baseball bats in Teller County?" Steigerwald shot back. @csgazette #PatrickFrazee

Lee was released from the stand, and will face no more questions today. (Lee also has gone by the last name of Kenney in the past). I'll update more after the next round of testimony. @csgazette #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee

Rick Sallinger on Twitter
Krystal Lee cross, redirect and jury questions complete. She leaves stand after stating she did not kill Kelsey Berreth , believes Patrick Frazee dd.

When asked by a prosecutor why Krystal Lee decided to talk to investigators a month after the killing, Lee said: "I couldn't have lived with what I'd done. And Kelsey's family deserves to know what happened." @csgazette #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth

Hoping the jury, who knows it was contact from the FBI that prompted this creature to talk will loathe that self serving BS as much as we do.

Can we trust Salinger? What were the jury questions?

I just checked his twitter feed and he hasn't tweeted much on the case. Maybe he's not in the courtroom and misunderstood.

Wait a minute- I'm all caught up in the thread? There isn't another 20 pages to catch up on?

Well, Ashley, I am disappointed. You and Adam let KK off easy.

Rick Salinger is an experienced journalist. He's with the Denver CBS affiliate presently. Since the tweet came at a break, I imagine we will hear more details after court is done for the day.

I know I’ve been busy in the missing 5 year old FL girl and figured I would never catch up .. so was today a good day for the defense ? Based on what I’ve read I don’t think so and btw thanks @PommyMommy @MassGuy @Seattle1 and others for keeping everything up to date - PommyMommy hope someone made chicken soup for you

  • #749
I'm really angry. I expected the defense to at least make an attempt to make Krystal squirm or try to catch her in a lie.

I feel so cheated.

We don’t know for sure, because we don’t have confirmation if KK is done with cross or not.

Depending on the answer to that question, it appears that it was either a bad day for the defense, or a terrible one.

They needed to score a lot of points with KK on the stand, and it doesn’t look like they did that. Atleast at this stage.

We should know more at the top of the hour.

So the baby wasn't asleep. Sickening! :(
That is devastating. She was probably crying through much of it. You cant put a baby in a walker in a storage room, alone, and expect them to play happily while you bludgeon their mommy to death.

That would be very sloppy and frustrating reporting if wrong. He didn’t have to add “redirect and jury questions”.

  • #753
Very detailed. I like it.

Lee said #PatrickFrazee also added wood soaked in gasoline into the trough, and poured more gas on it. He then lit it with a match. At one point, the flames were as high as the nearby trees, Lee said, so Frazee covered the fire with what appeared to be metal roofing.
@csgazette

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
I am amazed no one reported the fire when it was as high as the trees at first. How far away are the closest neighbours?

  • #754
ETA: I misunderstood that it was over. Apparently just for today!

That’s it!!!?????

That was thin for someone who supposedly murdered LB somewhere on another day.

Wow. I thought they’d try their whole narrative with her. How the hell are they going to cast reasonable doubt and show she could’ve been the murderer??????
Would the defense be able to bring her back for their case as they try to spin their narrative?

I think the real question is, how high are those trees?

  • #756
Yes but look at the Sallinger tweet. Whoever that is.
This is his "about" on Twitter:

Reporter with CBS4 News in Denver, prior: CNN London, WMAQ TV Chicago, KUSA Denver, WRTV Indianapolis.

I haven't seen him get anything wrong yet but he doesn't tweet as much as the others.

MOO

I feel so cheated.

Well the tweets said it was intense. I’m sure she squirmed.

Next let’s hope she:

1. Loses her nursing license.
2. Loses custody of her kids.

Her reputation is totally shot. How shameful, what she testified to. Every detail is disgusting. She’s monstrous.

  • #758
Do you think KK ever asked PF where KB’s remains are for sure?? After he disposed of them.
Yes, I would think so. JMO

  • #759
Just so everyone knows, KK has not been released. Her cross examination is merely over for today.

My apologies for single handedly causing mass confusion.

ETA: Somehow, this is all @PommyMommy ’s fault. She’s probably busy doing something frivolous, like “feeding her family.”

Priorities.
What?! PM's helpers can't work unsupervised?

  • #760

If they have subpoenaed her.
