If someone with Kelsey's phone texted a request for time off on the 25th that could be why the phone pinged. Recall mention that the fiance' has family in Idaho during the presser if I heard correctly.

I didn't see the video. Is this video with the baby the last time she was seen, at Safeway? If so, then she left with the baby and took it to its father? The baby is o.k. and accounted for, but she is not.

I should have watched the video.

No they still didn't show the Safeway video. They stated that the last official sighting was on video. But they didn't show it. Not even a still image of what she was last wearing, or looked like when she went missing has been released. Perhaps they are unable to get a clear enough image of her alone?

No they said Kelsey has family in Idaho. They did not mention the fiancee's family.

Kelsey's mother said that she lives in Idaho.

November 25 still jumps out to me. That's the date the mom requested LE to check on her daughter. That's the same date that the text to the employer is sent, and it's the same date her phone pings in Idaho.

I'd like to know the time of day of all those three events.

According to the timeline given by the Police in the presser ...

Police did not check on Kelsey until after she was reported missing by her mother which was on December 2nd at 12:37.

On November 25th ... per the presser
Her employer gets a text
Her "fiance" gets a text
The phone pings in Gooding, ID at 5:13pm

Law enforcement should have the times of those texts and should know there Kelsey's phone had to be, approximately, in relation to Gooding, ID - since Gooding is a 12 1/2 drive from Woodland Park the phone absolutely couldn't be anywhere near Woodland Park at the time of either text if her phone was travelling by car.

The only way her phone could have been local to the Woodland Park area at the time of either text to her work and "fiance" and end up pinging in Goodling is if it traveled by plane. I wouldn't preclude Kelsey or her phone traveling by plane just because there isn't a plane missing as someone else Kelsey knows (at work, for example, or a pilot friend as another example) could have flown the plane.

I wish we had more information on the times of the texts.

I would think that by now they would have pulled simple phone records to known what calls or texts were sent and received to learn if there is someone else that was in contact with Kelsey's phone after the 22nd and if there is other activity with other numbers they will have to pursue.

That would not make much sense. <modsnip - not victim friendly>. Moo
Yeah. Not reporting someone missing because you are “too upset,” is not normal behavior.

That is the opposite of being upset and panicked.

Perhaps that's what they meant when they said 'false ping', not that the ping itself was inaccurate, but that it didn't represent a likely location for Kelsey.

I finally got the sound to work and yes Kelsey's mother appears to be the one that lives in Idaho not the fiance's mother.

I'm not seeing a pilot license or plane connected to the bf.

“This is completely out of character. Someone knows where she’s at. Please Kelsey, come home. We won’t stop looking.” Kelsey’s mother, [CB] says. @PoliceWoodland says they have not identified anyone as a suspect - including Kelsey’s fiancé.

More questions than answers in case of missing CO mom #KelseyBerreth. Kelsey’s mother talked to media today saying it’s completely out of character. Last seen 11/22. Police say she texted work, saying she was taking time off on 11/25. Fiancé has 1yr old daughter. @CBSDenver

Missing Woodland Park mother requested time off work

[...]

Berreth's fiancé, [PF], said he hadn't heard from her since Nov. 25, but last saw her when he took their daughter. Their daughter is still with [PF], police said.

De Young said [PF] was invited to the news conference but didn't attend. He's being cooperative with the investigation and wasn't named as a suspect, with De Young only saying "[PF] is the father of their child."

The chief added that police hadn't searched [PF] house -- the two didn't live together -- and said it was "something to look into." He also confirmed that Berreth's phone was last pinged on Nov. 25 in Idaho.

De Young said that he didn't have any record of a domestic violence history between the two and concluded by saying there's no threat to the public.

So they have not searched his house yet?

They may have asked him, and he said no.

Otherwise, they can’t search his house without a warrant, and that requires probable cause.

They need actual evidence for that, and not a belief on their part that he is involved.

She didn't live there, they may not have probable cause to search his house.

She's been missing for more than 2 weeks and they are saying it's something to look into in regards to searching his house?

Are you serious???

If he didn't permit the search wouldn't they have to have reason to search since they didn't live together, more than she's missing? Reason to suspect he's involved. Deferring to someone that has a better understanding of what Co laws are.

There seems to be a slow reaction from everyone involved. :(
