Did anyone ask about activity on her ATM or credit cards since Nov. 22?

Like most of you, I am not leaning toward the 'voluntarily disappeared' theory for a number of reasons: she has an infant, she's close to her family and stays in touch with them, her car is home, her mother describes her as reliable, she didn't pack a bag - what else?

I hope LE knows a lot more than they are revealing.

If he didn't permit the search wouldn't they have to have reason to search since they didn't live together, more than she's missing? Reason to suspect he's involved. Deferring to someone that has a better understanding of what Co laws are.
It isn't specific to Colorado laws. Refusing a search does not create probable cause for a search warrant as per your 4th amendment rights.

So they have not searched his house yet?

She's been missing for more than 2 weeks and they are saying it's something to look into in regards to searching his house?

Are you serious???

I do not understand, in this day and age, with everything that we know about DV and women being at risk, and who they are at risk from, that a missing mother of a 1 ye old child would not be considered immediate 'high risk missing per' and
that a partner (especially an estranged partner) would not immediately be considered a 'suspect'.

Isn't the last person who saw someone alive automatically a suspect? And the partner or ex partner is always immediately a suspect? That's not personal, it's just the way LE operate off the basis of statistical likelihood. Or, rather, how they should operate. IMO.

JMO but is this going to turn out to be 'he's a well liked well respected upstanding member of the tight-knit local community and his farm and his family have been here for X number of years and he's got 3 cousins in the sheriff's dept and she just came here a couple of years ago...'?

Shady! P should certainly be a POI!

I'm guessing nobody knows when the 1yr old daughter was going to be exchanged back to KB?

Who texts their job about being off work for some time? No, a person Calls in. IMO

There are legal, procedural, and practical concerns that are taken in to account before LE names someone as a suspect.

This does not mean that they are not treating the fiancé as a suspect at this point though.

It was pretty clear during that press conference that they are looking closely at this guy.

They may not be saying it, but their actions may be indicative of this.

It's good to finally get some answers! She was last seen at the Safeway in relation to custody arrangements where her daughter was handed off to her fiancé. As someone mentioned upthread, exchanging children at a public place usually means that it is safer for one of the parents to avoid being alone with the other. I'm guessing that this was safer for Kelsey.

She went silent around that time, so that would mean that the last person who saw her, and who is known to her, is her fiancé.

The same day that Kelsey's mother called the fiancé to ask about Kelsey, Nov 25, texts were sent from her phone. These texts most likely placed her phone in Idaho.

<modsnip - accusatory>

For my job we email our supervisor or request time off on an online shared calendar. No phone calls involved. However, I work for a large healthcare system and each department has different procedures in place.

The mystery seems to be more or less solved, with the remaining piece being to locate her body.

BBM hate to say that you're probably right about locating her body.

Seemingly, that is the case. I would think if Kelsey was the custodial parent and father had visitation that we would have heard about when her child was expected to have been returned. This could be some kind of joint custody situation or that the father was the custodial parent. I know I would like to know if the latter was the case. Her family has danced around a lot of this kind of stuff on her Missing Page and we didn't hear anything about this in the press conference so I wonder why that is.

Anyine else notice how the FBI agent pretty much put the kabash on the presser after someone asked if there was any record of domestic violence between Kelsey and the “fiancee”?

“Fiancee” is in quotes because spending holidays apart (even when you’re in the same town) and handing a baby off in a public place hardly suggests upcoming nuptials.

<modsnip - not victim friendly>
Wonder if those texts were sent from her phone or an app that allows you to send texts from a computer.

More questions than answers - typical press conference o_O

They may not have had a set visitation schedule. Their daughter isn't old enough to be in school so they may have based their daughter's schedule on their own work and personal schedules.

Did her work receive the text regarding time off After her mother contacted the fiancé ? I’d like to know the time line a little better. Seems odd the texts would be the same day. Imo

I sometimes email if I am going to take a sick day, but if it's a planned vacation, I arrange it in advance with management.
