Anyone finding any current articles on her extradition?? I am just getting 1/24/25 articles. She had 14 days to appeal the Judge's decision.

KS left the country for a reason, and has nothing to lose by filing an appeal. In other words, anything to delay facing justice for murdering her children. The custody hearings can continue without her being present in Colorado-- she's likely been attending the hearings via WebEx.
No timeline on when she will be extradited back to Colorado.

The ruling sends the case to U.K. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper for final approval. She will decide whether Singler will be sent back to the U.S. Fitzgerald plans to appeal the judge's decision as well as any subsequent decision by the home secretary. Meanwhile, her surviving daughter, who remains in foster care, is expected to be a key witness if a trial commences in El Paso County, Colorado.

I'm guessing KS knew that by fleeing to the UK she might be able to take it to the European Court of Human Rights. Absolutely absurd that lawyers here in the UK are assisting with this! Our prisons are full, our remand centres are full...kick theI am going to go ahead & post this...

12/2/24 Update: UK: Final arguments were made Monday at an extradition hearing in London for Singler. The hearing in Westminster Magistrates Court was a continuation of one that covered three days in September, but extended for the presentation of additional evidence. Up next: The first witness called to the stand was Ms.Thompson, a legal expert determined to be an expert witness in the case who participated in earlier hearings. She was to provide evidence about the commutation of other life sentences in Colorado. “I was wrong. I was mistaken,” Thompson said. “It’s as clear as can be that there’s no realistic probability of commutation in Miss Singler’s case,” she added in her Monday testimony. The second witness called to the stand was David Kaplan, another expert witness, who reiterated Thomson's testimony that parole in a case like Singler's would not be realistic if she were to be extradited. Joel Smith KC, who is representing the U.S. Government, has been trying to poke holes in the position throughout the length of the hearing. In closing arguments of the hearing & defense for Singler, Fitzgerald said there would be no real possibility of parole for Singler if she were convicted. Fitzgerald did acknowledge there were exceptions to this but it was based on the young ages of the suspects, “If you’re not in one of these fortunate categories of young adult, you’re not even going to get to the stage of looking at rehabilitation,” said Fitzgerald. Judge John Zani is expected to decide on extradition on 1/24/25.
1/24/25 Update: Singler watched silently and without emotion during a brief hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in central London on Friday, where her challenge to a U.S. extradition order was rejected by District Judge John Zani. However, the case will now be considered by the British home secretary, Yvette Cooper, who has the final say on some high-profile extradition cases. And Singler intends to appeal the decision the British Supreme Court & then possibly at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, further delaying her return. She faces life in prison upon a successful conviction. Singler's legal team had been resisting extradition on the basis that she denies the charges & that she would face a life sentence with no chance of parole, something judged to be cruel & unusual punishment according to European human rights law. But in a written judgment, Zani said he was satisfied that her extradition would be lawful because there was a "working mechanism of review in the form of executive clemency," meaning that, while highly unlikely, the governor of Colorado could choose to to pardon her. The judge said he was "of the firm opinion that the defendant's extradition to the U.S.A. to face criminal prosecution complies" with her constitutional rights. Singler has 14 days in which to launch an appeal. [14 days until 2/7 & just counting business days – til 2/13/25].
1/29/25 Update: For Child custody case a hearing is scheduled on 3/13/25 @ 8:30am & review hearing on 6/2/25 @ 8:30am.
Any updates?
