I searched for Leah on Websleuths and haven't found anything on her, so I am posting this for her. Leah was a close friend of my Mom's friend from high school's wife. Leah was murdered in Northwest Denver on July 22, 1992. The Denver Post used to have a cold case blog with write-ups and detailed information about many cold cases in Denver, Leah's had been one of those cases that was given a detailed synopsis, but the Post has since let that blog go down and it is currently defunct (Which is a shame because it was so detailed and many of those entries were way more detailed than anything else I have found to date). Kirk Miller wrote the blog entries. I also find that some information has her name spelled two ways, Leah or Lea.

At any rate, what I know about Leah is that she was a nurse. She was also a masseuse. There has been speculation she may or may not have been working as an escort, and while that detail itself has not been fully confirmed, it was also speculated from what I understand that a man whom she may have worked for who owned such a massage parlor may be a suspect. She was a talented musician who played the flute and I believe she was a music major if I am not mistaken. She was also known as a kind woman who would prepare home cooked meals to bring to her patients. She came from a close knit family and grew up in Kansas before coming to Colorado.

Leah was found in the passenger seat of her own car in the early morning hours of July 22, 1992 at the intersection on W42nd Ave And Julian in Northwest Denver. The car had also been involved in an accident at that location and whomever was driving the car fled. Leah was found partially nude from the waist up and it was determined she had been strangled. She was only 30 years old at the time of her death.

Leah was buried in Garden City, KS. I'm bumping for Leah. What I know about Leah is that she was really loved by the people in her life and her unsolved homicide has affected them all deeply. I know that sadly her Mother passed away in 2020 without ever seeing justice for Leah. Her friends and family still feel a deep emptiness where Leah once was. Leah and the family deserve justice.
