Just want to add too that if it was 2 shooters in at least one of the crimes, it doesnt mean that it would be 2 shooters in all of them either. Because the more dominant control freak person could venture off on his own on some days and decide to do some random shooting of his own.

Do you think it could be 2 separate crime sprees independent of each other?

Yes, searchinGirl, a predator that utilizes jurisdictional linkage blindness, and chooses stranger victims would indicate that the Co serial shooter/likely serial killer is an experienced organized killer, who is investigative as well as forensically aware, has honed his skills, and is very well read, imo.

A Sunday morning. Either someone else is looking for their 15 minutes or something has changed with our shooter. Change in schedule? Itching to do the deed and can't wait for Monday? ( Read my post saying nothing will happen today? Lol ). Our awesome map is getting pretty crowded : (
I really think the task force needs to share more info. Someone knows something, even if they don't realize it yet.

I was watching CNN news yesterday when they did an overview report of these incidents. I dont have links because I was watching it on CNN.

They said that LE so far has definitely linked 2 of the shootings to the same perp(s). These were in or near Loveland, CO.

There is a 3rd incident they are considering that may be linked to the other 2.

However, the great maps that have been posted in previous posts show more POTENTIAL incidents that could be linked because they involved glass breaking incidents.

So, IMO, based on the fact that LE has linked at least 2 of the incidents together, I do think we have perp(s) that have been shooting randomly at random victims.

Now, there are still some questions that remain to be answered:

1-How many perps are doing random shooting at people? Its either 1 or 2 IMO.
2-Will they continue to go out shooting at random people?
3-Could any of the other incidents like the glass breaking incidents be linked to the perp(s)?

These type of questions have to be answered still and part of the great posts here are working to help try to answer some of those questions. It is great discussions.

I do think LE purposely withholds information for many different reasons and I would not be surprised if we later find out that some of the other incidents were done by the same perp(s). One simple reason LE may withhold information is to keep the public from getting scared to go out and do their daily business if LE has not made positive link. It takes time to confirm positive links and LE may highly suspect other linked incidents but just cannot prove it yet. So they may not inform public until they know for sure.
And of course, they may just be coincidences and maybe are not related.

For me, just knowing 2 were linked is enough to take major precautions if living anywhere close to Loveland. Two incidents is more than one, and that means to me that perp(s) is going around shooting at multiple random people. Very scary.
I was near DC at the time of DC shooter and it was scary so I know the fear these kinds of things put on the public. I basically stayed home as much as possible during DC shooter.

Jumping in late here, been reading and following all you wonderful sleuther's. I-25 is the single most commonality of all of this, correct? Is it more, northbound or southbound? Does it depend on the time of day? This guy has to be located in a triangulated area of fort Collins to Denver to Fort Morgan. IMO

If the windows were actually shot with a firearm, then yes, for sure, for some or many of the cases. And if it was the same shooter, LE would have some strong evidence. And yet, they are only willing to link two cases.

My best GUESS is the shooter is using a different weapon for the car windows. Most likely a BB gun, although we've come up with several alternate ideas up thread.

It would have to be a pretty powerful BB gun. And even then, there would be ballistic evidence. There would likewise be evidence and some injuries if a slingshot and rocks were being used to break side windows.

But there is virtually no such evidence in the incidents reported here.

There are dozens of cases online of multiple car windows being shot out with BB guns. Bbs won't necessarily go THRU the window, just shatter it. We have discussed this repeatedly up thread.

Exactly. A Pellet Gun or a BB-gun will not leave a shell casing at the spot where shooting took place. It leaves no evidence.

I could envision a possible scenerio where the same perp sometimes uses just a BB or Pellet gun sometimes to just scare and terrorize the public and he only uses the real other weapon when he is ready to do so.

It is important to realize that some BB + Pellet guns can be lethal as well. Some of them use C02 gas catridges and can shoot the pellet out at high velocity.

Definitely enough to break through glass and break through skin and if hit by one just right, you can be killed by one.

Here is an article that shows pictures of BB + Pellets. If shot from a C02 type gun, these projectiles can be lethal if you are hit in the right place. They can be very dangerous.

Too many people do not realize how dangerous they are. Years ago with the 1- lever action Daisy rifle, they were not as powerful as the modern C02 ones today.

That is only if the person(s) breaking the windows can ultimately be linked to the known 2 other linked cases.

Everyone will have their own opinion on that right now until LE or MSM can link anything officially.

Like others have said, sometimes a less powered BB type gun would only just break the glass too and the BB itself would bounce off the glass and would be tough to find on a highway type road.

That is about the only evidence I could think of LE finding for the window breaking incidents. Find the projectile itself. So if they are not penatrating the glass then they would bounce off into the roadway or side of road and be tough to find. If they did make a hole in the glass, sometimes LE or the victim can find the projectile in the car.

A wrist rocket type slingshot could also do similar type breakage to glass. I am going to try to find some links of these weapons.

Here is a link that shows various types of BB and Pellet guns. Some are much stronger than others and they vary greatly in how fast the projectile would come out.

The 2nd link shows various wrist rocket slingshots. These are more powerful than people think. They are not like the old days when you put rubber band between a forked stick. LOL
They can shoot projectiles like rocks or even BBs very fast and definitely break glass or worse.
