Something of note happened last night on CR 37. Interesting that even though it's top priority, there's no description of the incident.

My opinion is that there could be other incidents, shattered, shots fired, etc, not being related in the media. I also have to onder about various car accidents, etc, if someho any of them might be someho linked, jmo. Again, please excuse typing, computer problems.

Thanks everyone for keeping your eyes out in msm.

now you sound like me, magz :). Thank you, spam, for the info. I think you're right, people know and have seen things happen around this shooter, may have seen his face, or even have some hinky about him. Maybe he had his hair cut when he thought he was seen, sudden changes of appearance. Soon enough somebody will put it together, it seems to me. I really think at some point he shot the inside of his car and that there may be a slight chance this may have been noticed.

hmm, maybe he doesn't have great eyesight? The Grandfather he shot twice and murdered was at a bright intersection, and the creep seems to have pulled up real close, at times.

Thanks for posting--re; the shooting, says there is no threat to the public as the victim and shooter kne each other...

My computer has crapped out again.

Hello Marg25. I think the police need to beef up random check points big time. The guy is probably riding around with gun on lap. The public would not mind police doing a quick search to help catch a killer.

Maybe someone can suggest this to local PD.

I really would be interested to know more about the gun shots on the victims. What conclusively linked the two? I am undecided on whether frangible ammo is being used in some cases, but it certainly could be. But I really do suspect that there is more than one firearm being used.
<BBM for focus>

PrairieWind, imo it is possible that frangible ammo is being used in all of the CO Serial Sniper shooting incidents.. A preliminary autopsy report of John Jacoby would have confirmed this, imo.

CR was the only confirmed victim of the CO serial shooter that was inside an enclosed vehicle. I was noticing on the Graphic photo of CRs' gunshot wound. There seems to be several smaller fragmented wounds and what appears to be two exit wounds, as if from injuries possibly caused by a frangible bullet breaking up due to first contacting the car windows hard surface.
The frangible bullet unless and until hitting bone, would not have disintegrated when coming into contact with soft tissue, as was the case with cyclist John Jacoby, or pedestrian William Connole, if related.

Ironically, if the perp has a concealed carry permit, it is possible for them to remain stealth even after a firearm is located by LE during a routine traffic stop, imo..

More info on frangible ammo as being the most feasible answer to the numerous unexplained shattered auto windows incidents, imo:
<BBM for Focus>

The Frangible HP round, has been tested for overall performance against the FBI test protocol testing, the baseline for Law Enforcement and Operational Hollow Points, and passes each medium with flying colors, save one. The bullet performs successfully against calibrated bare gel, light clothing, heavy clothing, wall board (sheetrock), and light sheet metal before entering a soft target.

It doesn’t perform well against auto-glass being the final and most difficult medium. Due to the hardness of auto glass, the bullet performs as it is supposed to which is to break up on hard surfaces.

Adding to community concerns, drivers in northern Colorado have reported a string of broken vehicle windows since the I-25 shooting. Investigators so far have found no proof of gunshots in those cases.
If the cases are the work of a serial shooter, he or she likely has no connection to the victims or any particular target, said Eric Hickey, dean of the California School of Forensic Studies who has studied serial killers.

Good eye. There seem to be a lot of incidents ith no description, iirc. Y is this.

Double u is gone from my keyboard so ill use a uu.

This is a good idea and point, dex. Not sure houu to go about suggesting this to them/

I am not seeing enough le out there patrolling imo. I sauu 1 le vehicle the uuhole day yesterday on the freeuuay. One.

I uuas all over the area yesterday scanning like a hauuk in 360 degrees for a uuite ford suv yesterday, and as stated above didn't see even one. Uuhite is the most common color vehicle iirc from other cases. Note to self to look more into ford uuhite suvs. Uuhat are the different types and houu common are they.

Interesting thought/idea about his vision. The locals i've talked to do not seem to think he is a very good shot, despite the fact he has likely killed tuuo people and injured another.

Bump.

Here's an attempt at a compact chronological list of the 2015 "incidents" that we have been tracking, whether or not they have been officially linked. I condensed it from the spreadsheet we've been keeping.

I can't believe how tightlipped LE is being about this. I hope it doesn't backfire on them. I really thought they knew the suspects vehicle, since I saw traffic cameras at the intersection Bill was murdered in. I was surprised they have a vehicle description for JJ's murder, but not Bill's. Or maybe it's the same white Ford SUV?

It's hard to tell, perhaps some White Chevy or Ford [? any pictures of similar made available by LE to MSM?] SUV just happened to be in the area around that time and was captured on some footage.

BTW, magz, I'm detecting a certain accent to your posts, are you going posh on us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAEBsWjLm0E?

Interesting links all. Where did my last hour go?

Are you suggesting that a frangible round might have gone thru the driver's side window and still held together well enough to have passed relatively cleanly thru the front of her throat?

Multiple shots were fired toward Cori. (At least one bullet hole, not from the bullet that hit her, was found on the car.) Might another have shattered the window, clearing the way for the bullet to the neck?

Not sure what you meant by the concealed carry comment.
I think what the FBI testing meant about the frangible is that it disintegrates after hitting vehicle glass. While it probably would have injured her, maybe even remained intact enough to enter her neck like that, I don't think the exit wound would have been like that. But that is pure guess on my part. While I have a lot of shooting/firearm experience, I have zero experience with frangibles.

I know what you mean, PrairieWind, about expert experience being necessary to figure this out, besides more information, as I'm still stuck on some frozen solid liquid that somehow has enough force and velocity to shatter car side windows, then shots from a firearm, which is a rather cartoonish notion. Why go through the trouble of concealing the projectile, to avoid links to failed attempts and practice shots?

I came across some older articles mentioning controversian police shootings (e.g. this one by Westword). My ears pricked up at the possibility of implications for the CO Shooter'(s) motives. Do I remember some discussion on thread of that angle? I tried looking, but I couldn't figure out any search term that didn't return almost every posting. The shootings that the article mentions clump up impressively not far from the center of gravity of the NOCO shootings. Is that angle worth a deeper look, or would that just be stirring it up?

Who knows. I am having a hard time considering that particular Greeley shooting that you linked to as "controversial." That guy did everything he could to get shot. But of course family members don't see it that way. It is interesting that the article refers to a white SUV, Chevy, not Ford, but still white SUV.

Out of consideration for you guys, i am going to take a break til i can get my computer fixed bc this is ridiculous, double uus lol. Sorry about that...if something important happens i uuill post. hope i am just being paranoid. Anyuuay, just uueighing in on the local uueather, and if this could possibly have an effect on anything, from a profiling perspective. Jmo, moo

If he had the smarts to shoot frozen bullets, he'd have found something better to do with his time and anger. But the motive makes sense. Not leaving easily find-able evidence seems a plenty good reason for concealing the projectile. You can see how badly we've been limited by not being able to tell which incidents are related and which not.

I had the same thoughts this morning when day started to turn into a nice weather day instead of more rain. I guess we'll just see what happens.
