I still think this is interesting, FF posted about this upstream (a couple things come to mind, the timing, and also oddly enough, the "errant bullet" during "JULY 4th" eekend...):

"Wednesday, May 13, 2015

"Gortney, boss of U.S. Northern Command in Colorado Springs, ordered a security increase last week that remained in place Tuesday. The tighter security has led to traffic tangles at some Pikes Peak region bases and has barred visitors from the Air Force Academy."

Snip

"It's the tightest security the military has seen since 9/11, and no word has been given on when it might be eased.

Gortney, who took command in December, said the security measures are a symptom of the increased reach of terror groups that have successfully used the Internet to grow their ranks in the U.S.

"The nature of the threat has changed," he said in his first remarks on the security changes he ordered Friday."

http://m.gazette.com/northern-comma...ure-of-the-threat-has-changed/article/1551461

Also, the term "domestic terrorism" has been coming up in this thread since virtually the first page...and with the recent rampage in TN, there uuas a quote about the messages to just kill someone, anyone, can't find them now but it certainly does seem to really make me wonder about NS...honestly, it took me a while to come to this point (FTR I still believe there is a good chance it is just some random nutjob(s) still out there), but again, I think FF has really done a good job here as far as finding a viable potential suspect and backing up motive, etc. JMO

Another article:

"According to USA Today, the Pentagon raised threat levels in response to an ISIS threat. They say the threat level was raised from Alpha to Bravo after attempts were made by ISIS to recruit from across the U.S.

According to the Navy's website, Bravo is applied when an increased or more predictable threat of terrorist activity exists."

So, "recruiting"...might that involve firing at random drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians? (Again FF's quote about just "kill someone, anyone...")

Good post.

This is kind of where I am at too. Unless we can come up with another suspect or the task force gives us another clue, I do think FF has done a great job of providing a possible suspect.

A lot of things seem to fit if he is the guy CO LE is after for the 4 murders.

I sure dont have any better theories right now and the way the shootings seemed to have stopped fits in rather nicely.

One thing I have been thinking about that may help explain all the window shatterings.

We have thought a lot about the shooter using special type bullets like Tracer rounds OR Frangible rounds.

I have been thinking that maybe it was all the ammunition the shooter had. Like instead of him breaking all the windows on purpose maybe he actually did want to kill all the victims and because he only happened to have TRACER rounds or Frangible bullets he found he was just breaking the windows instead.

So maybe that could explain why so many. It may have taken the shooter a long time to realize his ammo was not the right kind to kill someone through the glass.

And so maybe that is why he shot the people outside of the cars because he wanted to keep glass out of it.

Just some thoughts.

He probably also liked scaring the motorists anyway. But the point being is he may not have used those rounds on purpose. It may have been that he had just purchased a bunch of those types of rounds from a gun show and it was all he had, and it took him awhile to realize those rounds were not getting the job done.

Re: Foragers Post 956

That was a good idea to check that.
Did we ever check California area for any possible random shootings or car window shootings at the time frame where we expected him to be in that last month before he killed his grandparents?

I may try to do some google searches to see if I spot anything that may have happened in CA.

Thank you, Hatfield! No, I haven't really checked carefully in California for seeming clusters of the kind of shootings we have been looking at on our thread.

I had, a couple of weeks ago, done a Google search for such clusters nationwide since the beginning of 2013, and saw none in California. But could well have missed some. I relied heavily on MSM having raised the question of whether two or more shootings were related. If they didn't notice, I wouldn't have. A search focused on a single state, as you propose, would probably be more reliable.

I searched Utah, Nevada, and California soon after we learned about NS. Anything I found that seemed of interest would have been posted. I think there was something in Utah, and there was one highway shooting in California. The California one I believe has since been attributed to gangs.
I wouldn't be a bad idea to have another set of eyes look at it.

I just wanted to send prayers and positive thoughts to the Romero, Jacoby and Connole families. Praying for justice.

I drove down the road where Jacoby was killed this afternoon. There is still an unofficial memorial with flags, flowers and notes marking the spot. Next time I get down that way I will try and take some photos.

that's so sweet of you. I get so sad when the victims get lost in the case.

So, maybe o/t, but did they ever catch this guy? (Houston Serial Shooter / Feb of this year)
http://abc13.com/news/suspected-serial-shooter-on-the-loose/532508/

Thought they had, margarita25, but I guess not.. I had posted in a prior comment that the random shooter tactic was an order given by al-qaeda to radical lone wolf jihadists after 09/11/2001 which has now been adopted by ISIS since the two terrorist organizations have merged..

One other indicator that I have never mentioned is that the 3 victims of the NOCO Sniper would have all likely been considered as infidels. One only has to listen to the interview of CR via CNN to realize the intent of the sniper; terrorize the victim/s. Initially, the indicators pointed to a disgruntle LEO who had been fired or suspended. It seemed obvious that the NOCO Sniper was directing his anger/rage at law enforcement as if to say, 'F... the COPS'.. https://www.facebook.com/1675691385....1437190073./1678490595719610/?type=1&theater

Another thing that I have been curious about is did Nathaniel Scheiern's 80 year old Granddad have a gun or gun collection? He was likely a WWII Veteran. NS may have been a convicted felon and would have been unable to legally purchase a gun or ammo. If NS possibly took his guns without permission. Did his granddad realize that his guns/ammo were missing after one of NS's visits and connected the dots when the NOCO Shooter Task Force news/info went national MSM?

Thanx for the kind words margarita25 and Hatfield. Isn't it ironic how the ISIS jihadist lone wolf activity has peaked since we have been sleuthing this case? The Chattanooga massacre was only about a one hour drive from where I live in the north GA mountains. I ride over there occasionaly. I may ride over and attend to show support, if there is a candlelight vigil tribute for the four marines at the river park...

The NOCO Sniper Task Force remains silent on the ruling in or out of the William Connole's murder. Imo, this indicator is consistent with their pattern of downplaying the magnitude and motive of the Colorado Sniper Likely/Serial Killer's trail of terror. The silence lends credence to these murders and shootings of random vehicles and victims being the result of likely ISIS Jihadist Lone Wolf attacks.. jmo

How could someone who was born in about 1938 possibly be a WW2 veteran?

Good point... Thought BS was older than 77. Speculation is that he may have served in the Coast Guard after the war ended..jmo

That is really thoughtful of you to think of us here. Stay safe and no rush.

If you do manage to do that the next time you are in the area if you could try to get a picture in all 4 directions away from where he was when he was hit. I think it may help to see the surrounding area views of where the shooter could possibly have been from where he was hit.

Like from where the memorial is, and take 4 other pictures looking North , South, East, West.
We would really appreciate it. But stay safe and no rush. Its just if you happen to be in the area again whenever you can.

Thanks so much for thinking about us here.

Until this case is solved, I dont think I will ever forget about those people that got killed. It is such a sad story and to think they were just random targets.

So sad. Prayers for the victims and their families.

Doesn't NS have a court date today? Any chance we will learn anything?

Right you are. Westworld had reported on 7/10/15 that he was to be arraigned on 7/21/15. I couldn't find any news of the arraignment today.

I don't know if this is random road rage, or copycat, or the perp of the others.
