Thank you Whitney Wild for doing this story!!!

"For months, Northern Colorado felt a chill.

The series of shootings began April 22, 2015 when someone fired through Cori Romero's car window as she tried merging onto Interstate 25 near Fort Collins. The bullet pierced Romero's neck. Her life was saved by millimeters.

"I was shocked -it took me a while, and sometimes it still doesn't even register what happens," Romero told 9NEWS in 2016.

On the morning of May 18, the shooter's aim was deadly. John Jacoby was gunned down in Windsor. Police believe his case is linked to Romero’s.

Then, on June 3, there were two more shootings -- both in Loveland. One claimed the life of William Connole. Appearing in both cases? A beat-up orange truck.

In September, there was another set of gunfire in Fort Collins. One incident happened at Banner Health, another at Cottonwood Elementary."

ETA: Oh no, I think they have the old truck sketch posted...Note to send Whitney Wild / 9news a note to please update...!! They also need a picture of Victim #3 William Connole.

So I drove the "hot zone" today. It's like whoever did this just vanished into thin air. Coming up on 2 years and Nada. Zilch. Zero.

25 is hectic as usual, I heard a lady tried to jump off the overpass bridge there not too long ago...worst stretch of highway, so many accidents...

What stood out to me today, on this beautiful sunny day going South and looking West to a clear mountain backdrop, are all the biiiig semi trucks, parked along the highway, on all the big open gravel lots for all these big stores that are growing and growing...

I thinking 2 years later I'm leaning towards a nutjob(s) in a moving vehicle for CR, JJ and obviously WC; as far as the shatterings, who knows if related but wow crazy timing...if those are the work of some kind of stationary shooter and snipin, and who knows what kind of bullets or whatever... (nah nevermind, talking to myself; topographically those areas I am thinking of from today are lower, wouldn't make sense. Nevermind. Or maybe there is a higher spot I'm missing. Note to go back to topo maps.)

(Miss you Foxfire, and peeps, you know who you are! And FHG, where u at biyaaach? I haven't talked to you since we lost Foxfire...:( I sent you some messages, hope you are okay. What a privilege and honor that you and Forager got to spend some time with Glenn in Georgia! FOXFIRE LIVES ON THROUGH THESE THREADS.)

So, what's the latest on NS I wonder? FF had his radar on him bad.

( Foxfire, give us a sign buddy. love ya and miss you sooooo much!! Feeling your loss here like my hearts in my gut, but I know you wouldn't want that from "M25". So chin up mate I'll try to be strong but boy I'm toore up.

Thank you for caring so much about NOCO.

:candle:

Toast and cheers to ya mate.

:toast:
Say hi to everyone for us.

:rose: )

So, you were sayin, frangibles, huh? And you think older military dude...I still really think young punk and you give him too much credit, who knows, it changes daily, and will we ever know? Will these victims families ever get the chance for some kind of accountability? And Please Lord don't let Abby's and Libby's case turn out like this. COLD AS ICE.

(Eta: Is the sign a .25? )

("Is there anybody in there? Hello, hello, hello, is there anybody in there, just nod if you can hear me, is there anyone at home?")

We've got possible activity, stand by

Also Katy pls post what you sent me re Live PD and AZ, tia.

"The man was outside of the building when he was killed, said Julie Brooks, a spokeswoman for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators don’t know what prompted the slaying.

“It’s really too early at this point (to say),” she told reporters at a news conference. “We’ll be out here for quite some time. There’s a lot of people left to interview.”

The sheriff’s office would not say if the man killed worked at QED.

The county sheriff’s office said it initially responded to the area after receiving*reports of gunshots being fired."

“"We have somebody out there with a gun who just shot and killed someone,” Brooks said. “Obviously we are concerned.”

She added: “It’s going to be a lengthy investigation.”

A nearby school was briefly placed on lockdown after the shooting.

The slain man’s name, age and other identifying information has not been released."

"The suspect is a white man wearing a gray or white sleeveless t-shirt, jeans, and a black cap, according to the sheriff's office. He has*a large tattoo on his upper right arm. He might have left the area in an older white sedan."

Ftr this is not in the hot zone. Doesn't sound like our shooter but who knows.

Coming up on 2 years.

Per kdvr the white sedan has been located and deemed unrelated to this incident.

So does this mean the suspect description is inaccurate too?

Northern Colorado shooting task force sees fewer leads in 2015 deaths
March 21, 2017

"LOVELAND — Authorities say the investigation into a series of shootings in northern Colorado that began in April 2015 has slowed.

The Reporter-Herald reports a multi-agency task force investigating the shootings meets five times a week. But Larimer County Sheriff's Office spokesman David Moore says tips are not coming in at as high of a volume as they previously were.

There are still 11 law enforcement agencies assigned to the Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force, but three of them no longer have personnel assigned to the force on a daily basis."

Leads lessen in Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force investigation
By Sam Lounsberry Reporter-Herald Staff Writer

(Gee could it be because you have the wrong truck sketch posted?)

"Nearly two years after a string of six shootings throughout Northern Colorado began in April 2015, the multi-agency Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force investigation of the incidents has slowed.

While the task force is still meeting five days per week, Larimer County Sheriff's Office public information officer and spokesman for the task force David Moore said tips are not coming in at as a high of a volume as they once were."

Law enforcement agencies in Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force

•Larimer County Sheriff's Office

•Windsor Police Department

•Weld County Sheriff's Office

•Larimer County District Attorney's Office

•Federal Bureau of Investigation

•Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms

•Loveland Police Department

•Colorado State Patrol

•Fort Collins Police Services

•Greeley Police Department

•Colorado Bureau of Investigation

"The leads the task force has been given, though, are still being followed up on and thoroughly investigated, Moore said.

While 11 law enforcement agencies are still assigned to the task force, three of them — Weld County Sheriff's Office, Fort Collins Police Services and Greeley Police Department — no longer have personnel assigned to the task force on a daily basis.

"All those agencies are still technically participating, but don't necessarily have personnel assigned to the task force," Moore said. "They are still resources the task force has at their disposal.""

Thanks for the news Margarita.

I was reading posts on that app Next-door, and saw some folks in the Rigden Farm neighborhood have had teenagers looking through binoculars from across the road (Ziegler Rd.). It made me think of our shooter.
