GUILTY CO - Richard & Mayumi Heene charged in Balloon Boy Hoax, Fort Collins, 2009 - #2

You guys are crackin me up over here.

And that's my new word now - "COWELL;" It's right up there with "tump" ( ~ It "tumped" over) and "used ta could" heh.

I'm not buying that the wife wasn't in on it. I think she totally knew. However, I'm still on the fence as to whether she's in an abusive situation and couldn't - was unable or too afraid - to stand up to her husband about this fiasco tho.

I think he said "cowell" but meant "cower."

JVM is Jane Velez Mitchell, the host of that "Issues" show that comes on HLN right before Nancy "Bombshell" Grace. :)

Yes I just checked it out I get it, now I just have to remember to watch it. I actually googled it and it came up that Simon Cowell was turned down for a date. Ricmic wasn't making any sense so I have no idea what the ell he was saying.

uh oh, (totally off topic) Octo mom thinks John (John and Kate plus eight) is Hot!!!!

Can we take up a collection to keep these two off TV. I am not joking.

Thanks that's it. What does that mean do you know?

Cowl:Function: transitive verb
to cover with or as if with a cowl

Function: noun
1 a : a hood or long hooded cloak especially of a monk b : a draped neckline on a woman's garment
2 a : a chimney covering designed to improve the draft b : the top portion of the front part of an automobile body forward of the two front doors to which are attached the windshield and instrument board

Still not sure what RH meant though. :waitasec:

I think she could very well be abused, moo, his anger reported by others who worked with him seems to indicate it to me, JMO>>>

To me she has some symptoms of battered wife syndrome. I mean if I was her that's what I would use. Anyway the way ricmic acted on wifeswap definitely has anger issues.

Thanks, I don't see how that definition fit into his explanation.

The more I read about emails discussing a balloon hoax etc and all the loose ends that are out there - that they had pitched a reality show for TLC, the acting-wannabe thing, the incorrect balloon dimensions, the wrong info given about call times to media, FAA, and 911, thew ork with that 25 yr old dude about hoaxing - (all these bits that look really bad,) make me think that Richard seriously thought that this would go off without a hitch and no one would delve into these things. And frankly, their "acting" was pretty dang pathetic b/c they didn't seem believable to me at all. Easy to say now, but really - they are BAD actors.

.

Well the sheriff admits he totally bought it at first. So, if not for the public calling in, I think the sheriff might have not even investigated this further.

I agree with Kant and think he meant to say "cower" instead of cowell/cowl. Maybe this is their native tongue (alien).

Not sure but I think it is just a slang of cower....I know I say something similar to that about when my dog cowls, cows, cals down....but I have no way of knowing how it's spelled. I have lived most of my life in OK, AL, AR and TX.....the Southern people do have a colorful way of speaking! LOL

It was really great because the sheriff would say something and within 1 hr this board would have all the information. To disprove his point, like they are good actors.

My Mom (born in OK raised in east NM) always says Cowed down.

I am still so curious about which media outlet was possibly involved in the hoax. Anyone else?

OMG right at 35 seconds the middle green shirt kid - it sounds like he says, "dont" to me. But that's all I could make out.

.
I cannot hear that. I have tried every number given. lol
I do hear the middle son (boy in green) clear his throat at about the 1:35ish mark, though.

My counters always off though.

I thought Cowell's down....

I just figured he was talking gibberish because Falcon just gave "it" away and now the presser was on.

Could that be INSIDE Edition?

Heh - no, you're not buggin me - I'm buggin you. :) Ok now I've got the giggles.

The dad says "...he cowell's down.." at 1:18. (Is that what you were asking?)

YouTube - "Balloon Boy" Falcon Henne Admits: "We Did This For The Show"

OMG kant I just realized something that is the wrong video. There is a continuation of this one. Wolf comes back from commercial, and asks Falcon again. Maybe NG will have the whole thing. That is why the times weren't matching. What is wrong with me. Maybe I should take a break. See you guys later.

You're could be right, I know I mix up words when stressed. I was just having fun. This whole story is such a mess and maybe a saving grace for these kids. I worry about the children, even if I was having a little fun with it today.
