It's taken longer than I thought but I am unfamiliar with drownings in rivers I think maybe the Eagle River being a tributary of the Colorado along with the spring run off presents a variety of challenges to search teams, even highly trained ones. At this point it looks like it will be a recovery mission. Poor little guy.I don't know if anyone has mentioned it. But there was a drowning in the same area last May. Ryan Benjamin Kirby-Daniels. It took two months for him to be found due to the heavy flow and deep waters of the spring run off. He went missing in Edwards, which is to to the east of Eagle. He was found between Edwards and Walcott. There is a really wide stretch of river followed by a bottleneck just west of the area where this family lives. I hate to say it. But he was a small child, and it's a big river. It's very difficult to find something that small in a big river.
