I agree with you. Not only does she not seem the type to do that, but even if she had some “red flags” in terms of past behavior, I still wouldn’t believe CW’s insane story. His coverup, destroys even the smallest chance of it being true.
CW may have a plausible explanation for his attempt to cover-up. Sadly the visibility of this case may hinder justice.

Yes, it is like the 'boys will be boys' excuse that has been made for male violence and cheating.
What about female violence and cheating? Certainly not at the level of males, but it's increasing!

I really don’t understand your point. Truth is truth, it doesn’t become any less true if it’s paid for. I look at People Magazine with eyes open wide. I look at everything I read with eyes open wide. If it makes sense I think it might be true, but I’m open to circumstances changing, and a new truth being revealed. Unfortunately, The Denver Post hasn’t written anything on the topic of CW and multi sexual partners, so we’re left with what we’ve been given. It may be true, it may not be true, and in that spirit we are discussing it. I think the track records for truth for People Mag and AB are pretty good, and since there’s nothing else out there, we’ve got to take what we get, and some of the things they say are worthy of discussion. One more thing, I’ve read my allotment of articles at The Denver Post. I can’t read any more for awhile unless I subscribe.
And the NY Times has loads of Pulitzer Prizes but printed phony stories by Judith Yellow Cake Miller, Jason Armchair Blair, etc.
Citizen Journalists now break news stories worldwide.

I think that a same sex relationship would be a bigger deal to him. He’s a married guy with kids, who seems to care a great deal about the image that he projects to the world. If his wife discovered this, or if he feared his wife discovering this, it may have fueled his anger and thus, these murders.

This of course applies as well to relationships with females, but perhaps to a lesser extent.

So I agree with you, as I think that he would have been fearful of being exposed as gay. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”

Depends on the part of the country; probably not in Colorado. And I would not be surprised if his "10-month relationship" consisted of a couple of meetings. We always have to consider ulterior motives of his potential partners who are now giving interviews, such as financial gain.

CW could have been gay/bisexual/straight, hating his wife and wanting separation, concerned about the cost of divorce, or simply snapped. But I can not link his possible sexual orientation or presence/absence of affairs with any sex with killing of two young children. To me, it is premeditated murder that is inexplicable. Hopefully we shall get an answer, one day.

Are you kidding? There's a giant photoshopped baby in the cloud.
I feel dorky. I didn't notice the photoshopped baby in the cloud. I went back and looked at the profile picture and it does not have a baby in the cloud. Apparently, the one I downloaded from the original had been photoshopped. Gotta say they were pretty good.

On last night's thread, someone was looking at the video that was a stock video that was not the actual CERVI 319 well site. I went to the county website and input the coordinates. I first made a photo of the entire parcel. It best shows how remote the site was. Then I zoomed in a little more and made a shot of the well site. Then I zoomed in more and made a photo of the tanks. You can see a catwalk between the tanks, and the hatch should be near the catwalk (walkway, ladder). This has more detail than the Google photo but it still does not let you see that much definition on the tanks, such as the openings. Hope this gives you a little more visual understanding of the site.
Great post! Thanks. Kudos.

Since the issue of TBI has been brought up, here's an interesting piece on the topic as related to violence: In his study, “Brain injury and criminality,” Virkkunen concluded that “sociopathy, alcoholism, and drug abuse are the types of psychiatric disorders associated with criminal behavior, not organic brain syndrome.”1 (There's info for the defense as well.) https://www.mdedge.com/psychiatry/article/66123/somatic-disorders/does-traumatic-brain-injury-cause-violence
What about James Whitman of UT Texas tower fame? Didn't he have a tumor?

How many women have abducted and kept little boys or men as sex slaves? How many women have abducted and raped and murdered male children or adult males?

I don’t see his explanation as being anything other than ridiculous. I truly don’t think it’s even remotely viable, and one that a jury would even briefly entertain.

I disagree in regard to the idea that the visibility of this case will hinder justice. In fact, I think this visibility will bring the hammer down upon him.

His media interviews will not be viewed kindly by the jury. And his callous disregard for the bodies of his children, in dumping them in tanks of oil, will be the nail in his coffin. I think he’s done.

You’re right here. In the course of human history, men have (statistically) vastly outnumbered women in committing acts of violence. It’s not even close.

Maybe we should experiment with positive psychology---hand out badges for men who haven't killed their family (yet).

Never underestimate the power of perceived embarrassment, either. I stayed with an emotionally abusive partner for a very long time because I was too embarrassed and ashamed to leave him. I put on a really good front because I would have been mortified for people to feel sorry for me or to know how he really treated me. And, in private, I just tried that much harder with him.
You survived, you escaped, and look at you now! Bravo! There is so much to be proud of and nothing to be embarrassed about. Also, your intelligence comes thru in your posts. Again; bravo!

I wasn’t aware he had offered an explanation for his cover-up. How did I miss that?

Charles Whitman did have a brain tumor, but experts have never agreed on what, if any effect this had on his actions that day.

I sincerely hope you are right. But I am still not over the Caylee Anthony case, where the Jury could not make the connection between a mother's car with evidence of decomposition, a decomposed child in a swamp, and the mother who had sole care of her.
They wanted proof...

I don't disagree, but there have been many women that have helped those men and many women who have done horrible things. Andrea Yates here in Houston for instance. I'm horrified by so much that my gender does, but I am not the enemy and, I believe, most men aren't.

But we get the 'she was bossy' I imagine that means that he had a right to kill her and and his children.

I either read your initial post wrong, or misstated my response. He hasn’t offered an explanation for a coverup, but any explanation will be absolutely hilarious (putting aside the horrific realities here).

How does one explain that Mommy killed the kids, so I killed mommy and dumped my babies in oil? There is no logical and viable way to spin the facts here. If she had killed the kids, you call 911 in order to save them. You don’t dump them in oil and go to work.
