And the person who claimed to know them well claimed that he had asked her over and over for a separation.
Why did he not just leave? What was stopping him walking out the door if she treated him so badly.

That one of the million dollar questions. Why didn’t he just leave?

Well that is just it. There are so many, "What ifs" in this case. What if SW and CW had stayed in NC, etc. But ultimately, if he was willing to kill his family in CO, it probably would have done it in NC too. He could have killed at least SW during an exchange of the kids like what just happened w/ the woman killing her ex in the Walmart parking lot when they were exchanging the kids.
Yes, that's true. IMHO he didn't just want to change his environment, life, etc. He wanted to completely remove SW and the girls. I believe he WANTED to kill. It wasn't rage, passion, uncontrollable urge. . . . . . .he wanted to kill. There are people like that, it's a reality! It's why WebSleuths exists.

And then that poster got offended when someone asked them if they were one of the 2.
You have to admit that it would be pretty horrifying and embarrassing to
be one of CW's hookups/steady sex partners after the murders (and before as well), knowing that he lied to you and had so many partners of both genders.
I'm not going to provide a link --- PEOPLE magazine said that a source close to the investigation said CW had lots of sex w/ women and men.
And please don't drag out that old argument that PEOPLE isn't MSM and doesn't have seasoned, credible crime reporters. It is and they do.

I love that post. But it's not just children who look around for an audience! I've even caught myself, while with a friend, cussing when something happens, and then realized I'd never say that stuff outloud if I were alone!!
LOL! Me too! I'm glad it's not just me. (blush)

S/he indicated s/he was an insider who knew both CW and SW and was close to them "from the beginning." S/he said she had sought to be verified as an insider, but mods had not responded to the request yet. S/he said she didn't want there to be any chance that his/her identity might leak.

So, ISTM, s/he has to be very careful answering questions because certain knowledge might 'out' hhar identity.
BBM, She did not say that she knew them from the beginning, she said that she had known them for many years and 'the beginning' phrase was in relation to the affair. She had known about the affair from the beginning.

IMO I am not jealous of SW . I do not resent her for working hard , being great st sales , wanting a huge house and luxury cars and vacations .
I see her as a small town girl with big dreams of wanting all these and a lot to prove to those who thought different . She was insecure IMO
I think she married young believing in the fairytale life with the castle and it didn’t happen
I think She somehow tried to keep a monstrous home and debt and was overwhelmed and she was dealing with diagnosis of her medical issues and no way could that not affect her finances
She met Chris , they wanted a fresh start , lived with friends saved money , got pregnant and filed bankruptcy . Clean slate .
She told him she wanted to be a stay at home mom and quit work so she could be there with kids and enjoy them
I believe (she was young , goals changed ) she didn’t realize how good she would be at MLM with this company . She had dabbled in MLM before but this time she was a star.
This cost time and money away from marriage . CW was not jealous but these weren’t the goals they had set now she’s always gone . SW was proud of her accomplishments and was now inspired to keep going wanting more
The money was getting behind again , the time away was becoming resentful on both sides ( she needed it to succeed he felt it was too much and became vulnerable to an affair
I think she planned NC as A separation not thinking divorce but CW told her he wanted a divorce that night . Perhaps she knew it was coming bc she “didn’t feel well” according to her friend on way home .
I do not believe he killed the kids and waited hours for her to get home. I believe there was a conversation and it was very emotional that night .JMO

In addition to a poll asking whether you guys lean more to towards premeditarion or “snapping”, I would ask do you guys think the girls were already dead when Shannan got home.

My vote would be;

Premeditated

Girls were killed before Shanann got home.

I totally understand our (collective for most part I think) skepticism of someone claiming to be an insider before they've been verified. I actually was the first one I think to ask that this person to seek to get verified. However, I personally feel like Tinker did answer several questions of her (him?). The thread was moving incredibly fast. That, coupled with quite a few accusatory comments towards her/him would make it understandable IMO that all of the questions weren't yet being answered satisfactorily. Besides, I don't think the general tone was one that was accepting of the answers she/he had been giving. I think Tinker could have figured why answer any more questions if no one likes my answers.
Thanks for answering my post, I just am not onboard with that analysis, anyone who claims to have followed the thread for awhile would understand the thirst for real facts to be verified, and what happens when tidbits are tossed out. (However I REALLY like your avatar photo!)

This cost time and money away from marriage . SW was the controller in the marriage IMO.

I think SW would be very upset “he left her”. Again bc “he wasn’t a player “ I think she felt he would never leave her.

Is this an anonymous poll you are asking the mods to do margarita? In consideration of the threads's contents recently, you might get a better reflection of where the whole "readership" is at by asking to have that made anon.
Just a thought.

Shanann and CW met in 2010 and married on November 3 2012.

On 22 April 2012, CW posted a YouTube video of himself giving a speech on “Relationship Deterioration and Repair” for a communications class at Central Piedmont Community College in North Carolina. He apparently recorded his assignment and handed it in remotely, as he begins the presentation by saying, “Welcome to Broomfield, Colorado.”

“You have to ask yourself three questions when you’re in a relationship,” Chris said in the footage that now seems foreboding. “Do I have a desire to keep this relationship going? Do I have a moral obligation to stay in this relationship? Or is it a necessity for me to stay in this relationship?

“According to my research, sometimes a necessity could be children,” Chris continued. “Sometimes when you have children and your relationship starts to deteriorate a child could help repair it.”

“Sometimes people when the relationship starts to dissolve,” he added, “repair is not an option, and they want to get away and start anew.”

The words are more than a little prophetic today particularly the BIB. I was totally creeped out by it.

I wonder Dr Phil would have to say about all this (his analysis of CW).

I don't think there was much on CW's social media. I have seen screen grabs or a cache of his now-closed accounts on FB, Twitter and Instagram. I don't have links but I found them online (not in any private chatroom).

Twitter was mainly about football and the Steelers. With one tweet about the Seattle rogue pilot, Rich.

The other stuff on FB and Instagram was mainly about Thrive, his working out and running. He was a member of several local Nike running groups.
IMO, the Thrive stuff and things about losing weight and getting in shape were most likely written by Shanann. It sounded like her and not him.

He liked to talk about the Steelers and football.

Can someone direct me to where I can find the house online or where one can watch the segment on AB? Thanks!
Google. You can find the name of the new owner very quickly contained within articles about the murders. Then google him.

I love Dr. Phil and his common sense advice.

I'd like Dr. Phil to crack Chris Watts and Thomas Markle, Sr.

Did you see if he wrote any sweet things about SW and the girls?

(He almost got Mark Redwine to break and confess to killing Dylan imo...I’d like to see him interview CW.)

Check out the home I found in Belmont

Here’s the link to the N.C. house on realtor.com.
It’s a brick front and across the street from the lake, not on the lake. Location, location, location.

I would not consider this a mansion based on living in metro Atlanta. Mansion is 12,000 sq ft + here.
The recession hit that area hard as the Charlotte area is a banking center, and the banks had a few problems.
I am sure builders were making deals. They were having fire sales in Atlanta.

Realtor.com is a great website to keep up with home values in your area. It is taken from public information.
Thanks to all who are so thorough with posting the info we want to know. You rock the caspah!

Are those posts all gone?!? Wowza! (To almost quote a previous post!)
I miss everything ( including the discussion a while back about much beloved tiny houses that was deleted.) Oh, well.
