Yes, I believe that is a quote from NUA. And IMO supports the theory that SW was the one that wanted the separation. I think she knew a lot more than people are aware. I'm curious about texts between CW and SW during the weeks leading up.
Maybe she was anticipating how hard it would be for her to go through a divorce and raise three children on her own. Maybe the thought of her leaving enraged him. Even if he wanted out himself, there is still the possibility that he could not stand to have his children separated from him. Jmo

Agree with this. Especially when he says "Wow". To me it seems like he's really trying to feign excitement. However, my husband watched the video and said he looks happy to him.
I think in the beginning it is obvious he is acting like he is surprised by the dramatic way he stops and kind of freezes up. He may have even known before that, and the test was just confirmation. But I didn't see disappointment.

So is there a gag order on this case? Are there others famous cases that had gag orders? I have always been somewhat of a crime/murder/mystery enthusiast, but I am absolutely obsessed with this case. I think because it is relatively "local". It has been perplexing to say the least at how little has been released about it. I know that in order for CW to have a fair trial it's best that way.... but WOW. I would say this is one for the books!!!

No gag order in this case. I believe there was a gag order in the Aurora theatre case.

i would love to answer all of those for you but I need to think about my wording. As far as interacting with SW, she had a way of making you like her. She brought people in. You couldn’t help but like her. There were times I liked her very much. I just saw a different side that most probably didn’t.

Good morning!
Can you elaborate on the move from N.C. to Colorado?
If SW wanted kids, why move away from your support system? My two DIL count on my help.

Thank you.

I had not seen the entire CW court appearance until yesterday so I believed it was TRUE he showed NO emotion at all..That IS what I saw when he walked to & from the courtroom & in the few short clips of him sitting there during the hearing..That IS how it was reported on the news & in almost all posts I had read..But now I know that's not TRUE because when the judge began to read the charges (starting with the death of Shanann) he immediately began to breath heavy & took in a deep breath..When the first charge was read regarding tampering with a deceased body he squeezed his eyes closed & slightly shook his head..So, what to make of it? Is this CW realizing his horrific actions, maybe even regretting them, or can it just be an involuntary physical reaction that he wasn't even aware he was doing? Unfortunately, none of us know the answer.

In the article I read it clearly states he admitted to killing all three. I was just wondering at what point he changed his story.
I think the LE source was misquoted in the article. Probably said something along the lines 'he's confessed' and the journalist thought it meant all 3.

I've just watched it again too as I wanted to hear the sentencing guidelines. I thought he was shaking from head to toe.

Yes of course. I think it's also possible that she could have threatened him with outing his affair to family and friends which would enrage him especially if he is worried about how he is perceived

All IMO

I know you are asking Trinket about the move to CO and I had asked the same question a while back. The people that SW was a nanny for moved to CO and they told the W's that there were good job prospects in CO. I hope I remember correctly.

To my knowledge he never confessed to all 3. Those were the headlines in the days prior to the affidavit being released. “Inside sources” claimed he confessed to all 3. The wording of these articles were tricky. Again I was not there...

Perhaps if SW discovered the infidelity. I can relate; I once caught my spouse cheating and so I took off to my mother's for a couple of weeks to decide what to do.

@Bill Carson - very plausible scenario.

I think CW asked for a separation and SW didn’t want one. IMO SW was continuing on with their life and the plans they already had in place as if CW had never mentioned it to her. Not really denial, but dismissive of the conversations CW had with her regarding a separation. And that intensified CW’s feelings of wanting out of his marriage. During the AZ trip I think CW initiated conversation with SW via calls/texts telling her when she came back from AZ that it was over and she knew he meant it.

I’m not fully convinced either way on who killed their daughters yet. But, I’m leaning more towards SW killing them than CW. Mostly because she seemed to be more concerned about how others viewed her, her family and lifestyle than CW was and I don’t think she could handle the thought of all of that being taken away from her.

As more information comes out I may change my mind, but for now, that’s where I’m at.

I’m just going to throw this out there. We know he got a sitter Sat night. I would guess he was with his lover. CW and SW had been apart for weeks she comes in at 2am could this have all started by one or the other wanting to have sex and the other one didn’t and it therefore started an argument and escalated from there? I would have said making love but honestly I don’t think there was any love left and both knew it.

SW was talking about going to NC at least two months before though.

I saw emotion all through this video

I didn't follow the case until about a week after (IMO) he killed them, so I may have missed a few things.

BBM - interpretation is so subjective. I didn't think he looked pleased at all!
The way he says "wow" at the end of that video doesn't look happy to me at all either. Appears to be blindsided. MOO

My Mac goes into the twilight zone at WS. Anyone else experience it. Hard to keep up with this case with the number of posts and my Mac having a breakdown.
Mind did a couple of minutes ago.

Trying not to be the one who looks at everything sarcastically, but ppl in these situations get tips from their lawyers on how to react. At least they do in Grisham novels.
