Yes, they do get tips. I witnessed a Defense Attorney applying mineral powder make-up to a client to prevent sweating beads on his forehead. He was coached on what to wear, when to slouch, etc. Even her family were coached on how to dress for court attendance.
And they gave Cooey crayons to play with at his trial.

One reason that I think the breakup would have been easier on SW is that with her job, she could move easily and do the same thing in another state, ie where her parents live. Maybe even more productively with extended family help. Chris did not appear to have the same job mobility or the opportunity to earn more from harder work. She probably said, yep, I meant it, we're selling the house and you can visit the kids at my parents. Which, as we've seen, could have accounted for one of his little tidbits of truth in his media events...."selling the house"
I would guess that you are right, he had a lot more to lose. Especially the kids. Imo

BBM. I agree. I thought he looked like he wanted to throw up!

IMO, he gave the response she wanted, not how he really felt.

IMO, this was an interaction that they had rehearsed and she coached him.

IMO he didn’t want Nico and Shanann was the one who wanted the third pregnancy. I think he had one foot out the door, and she knew it. This pregnancy was her way of keeping him in the marriage. She knew how it would make him look, if he left his sick pregnant wife and two sick kids.

You have to remember we follow crime stories some don't and have no clue about courtroom "etiquette" so I do feel he will have been given some advice on how to act in court.

I have no doubt that one of his lawyers pre that short hearing on 21 Aug would have advised him with a couple of sentences - not to be emotional/ react/ court room etiquette etc ie. the bare basics given to any defendent.

As nutmegg just said "coaching" per se implies something different that likely comes later.

Anyway, I'll read Nikynoo's replies on this as s/he is also an attorney, in case anyone here missed that from the last thread.

He may very well have felt powerless in the relationship, and it may have been eating away at him for quite some time. I don't think he was at all surprised by the pregnancy. In the video he seemed genuinely happy, although it's possible it may have been an act. He may have wanted out of the relationship, maybe they both did, but why not pack up, get a lawyer, and mentally prepare himself during the 5 weeks he had while she was gone? Something must have occurred to make him react in such a violent way. Or maybe he was planning to murder them when they returned. If she came home and confronted him about an affair, it doesn't explain his actions. Wouldn't that be the perfect moment to tell her he wanted a divorce? If he wanted out so much, those 5 weeks would have been the perfect time to get out and get the process in motion. Plenty of time to consult with a lawyer and get the paperwork ready. I think it has much more to do with his lack of control over the marriage and the kids. Maybe it was his desperate need to control the situation when he systematically killed one after the other. If that's what he did. Or maybe he just wanted to be rid of all three. Jmo
I don't even think she confronted. Because the house was perfectly calm. I think she never saw it coming.

No gag order in this case. I believe there was a gag order in the Aurora theatre case.
I don't believe that there's a gag order, however the Public Defenders office said that it is one of their rules that their attorneys do not respond to comments made by the press.

And they gave Cooey crayons to play with at his trial.

Casey Anthony’s chair at the defense table was lowered so she could look smaller/petite.

Crayons/highlighters are given because a pen or pencil can be used to harm self or others.

Thanks for this. What a mess! I tend to believe this guy now where I didn't initially. If he was lying about all of it, couldn't he get in a lot of trouble??
Yes, however IANAL. My guess would be something like Interference with a Law Enforcement Investigation.

Very subjective indeed. His friend, a man and a man who knows him well said he didn't think he looked pleased ( Nick Thayer)
I've watched again since to check my own perception.
SW clearly thought he looked happy enough or I doubt she would have posted it out there to the world. Why did she not see what NT saw? IDK.
The subtexts & dynamics of this pair and & all the videos, are so subtle
BBM Was this stated in the approx 1 hour video? Not asking for a link, just where to look if you remember, because I didn't catch that!

Something keeps gnawing at me. If indeed CW was asking for a separation wouldn't it be more normal for him to be the one to leave the family residence and leave SW and the children in the family home?

Unless chivalry is dead, as they say. Someone mentioned in a previous thread (@Bill Carson, I think?) that if he had consulted a divorce lawyer, he may have been advised not to leave the marital home.

That crossed my mind too that maybe this had been rehearsed.

IIRC they really were kids' crayons in Cooey's case, with paper so he could draw stick figures or rainbows or whatever. It was part of his defense, IIRC, that he was nuts.

Yes, he may have received that advice. This would also be out of necessity, as I don't believe they could afford two separate residences. Rent in the Frederick area is ungodly.

It's entirely possible but he doesn't look that big to me, not big enough for steroids. Also doesn't have acne and seems like the type that might be worried about the shrinkage side effect...IMO

Have u seen the pix of him mowing the lawn? He hasn't looked bulked up nearly that much recently so maybe he stopped..The 'cheating' type would def not want there to be any shrinkage!

He could have just used birth control or better yet, not have intercourse with someone he was anxiou to leave.

I saw that photo, and still think of his strength vs. hers in any altercation. She didn't have a chance. ETA he could EASILY have held her at arms length, shoved her into the closet, pushed her down the stairs, whatever, to call 911 to try to save the lives of most of his family.

Yes, I've seen the mowing pic but still unconvinced. My husband is about as bulked up as Chris (taller though) and he does it just from working out, he doesn't even eat that well and definitely drinks.

ETA - My husband does not do steroids ;)

Jodi Arias had a pencil and Sabrina Limon.

He could have acne on body parts that are covered. Not all people react to steroids the same way, either. I take them a few times a year for my mast cell activation disorder and I tend to only bulk in my legs.

JMO, Nick (in the interview with his wife) said he didn't think CW had lost weight in the time they knew him. To the same question, N's wife, A, totally contradicted N's statement and said CW had lost a lot of weight.

We don't know if N's perception or A's perception is correct.

JMO.
