Yeah, I dont know about protruding eyes or tongues, I don't think that would always be the case, in fact I don't remember a case where that was so in a victim of strangulation. We don't know the time of death, or whether he killed them before she came home, we just have his story and the evidence. My post was in response to his story, not how much time the girls were actually dead. His story of events conflicts with what he initially told police and even the second story does not make sense. It would appear that his version of finally telling the true story doesn't seem true either. Jmo

I think my other post didn't get sent, so sorry if this all appears together, but I would think If he strangled them he knows exactly what color they were, and maybe that's what made him think to use that in his story about seeing it in the monitor. Jmo
That’s my thinking exactly. That’s the color he saw when he was squeezing the life out of them.

7 posts a day seems extreme to me. That’s what makes people unfollow friends. I’m currently promoting a fundraiser for an Alzheimer’s Walk on my FB page. I’ve already passed my individual goal of $1000. I’ve posted 1-2 posts per week for the last 3 weeks and I have 1 week to go. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t make myself post like that.

ETA: (My Avatar flowers are Forget Me Nots)
I have just over one hundred friends on facebook, I love seeing whats going on with them but sadly have unfollowed atleast 1/3 of them pushing MLM.

CW claims SW strangled the kids. Right?
Either way they were strangled to death (I believe he alone did it)
There would have been a fight from those little ones. Even a 3 and 4 year old have the instinct to try to breathe even if they were asleep when it started. IMHO I am almost sure they would have woken up.
I think there was a horrible attack and he dumped the babes in the crude oil tanks so that their injuries/suffering would somehow be masked.
Wasn't there a picture of him with at least a scratch on his face?
jmo
I wonder if the autopsy report will show evidence that they were drugged first. Not that it makes it any easier to imagine, but I would hope those kids were unaware of what was going on. Yes, they definately would have struggled. It's an automatic response in a desperate attempt to get a breathe. There would have been intense pain as well. It is an agonizing 3- 5 minutes if they were not passed out.

No. IMO it implies that SW’s credit would have prevented them from getting the FHA loan they needed to buy that house. So they added her later.
We did that exact thing on our first home, I had great credit and earned some money, but was in school with school loans, dear husband qualified easier without me, then Quit Claimed me onto the house.

ETA, we were not yet married if that makes a difference.

OK, this case is really bothering me, and there are so many points I want to make, I think I'll just go on an epic rant. Maybe part of this is because I made the horrid mistake of reading some other forums discussing this which is full of CW fan girls (and a few fan boys) but there are things here too that make me sigh deeply.

Here is my list, not limited to but including:

A: For all those who say "I know he killed SW but he wouldn't have killed the children" ...why yes. Yes he would. Yes he did. By his own admission he killed Nico. I don't want to hear "Oh he temporarily forgot there was a Nico." Uhmmmm, has anyone hear ever forgotten they were having a baby, for the length of time it takes to strangle someone? I don't think so. Here is a man who could, at the very least, kill his wife and a tiny innocent baby, and give a clear-eyed, smiling interview afterwards.

B: And of course no way do I think he "only" killed SW and Baby NW. Every single thing points to him killing little CCW and BW. Every. Single. Thing. It makes me nuts that anyone can say "we have to give both possibilities equal consideration." Uhmmm why would we give a very sensible theory and a very nonsensical theory the same consideration? What about space aliens? That can be a theory. Do we give it equal time? Maybe the family dog did it...then SW and CW had an emotional discussion regarding the proper punishment for the family dog, so he had to kill her (and Nico) for that. Be sure and give that equal time to the other theories. No, let's use our brains and common sense , and maybe Occam's Razor. And maybe even trust that the LE has a few more bits of evidence than we do, and that the evidence was taken into consideration when deciding what charges to bring against CW.

C: And finally, what the actual heck , concerning people who feel that some of SW's less likable qualities should mitigate the crime of murdering her? Yes, I've seen the videos when she seems a little snarky or condescending. I've seen clips of her seemingly ignoring the girls' needs while making a video, or of encouraging less than stellar behavior.
( I actually know someone IRL who looks and acts so much like SW it is spooky. She is into MLM and has three children and some people love her, and others...well, she gets on their nerves.)
And my answer to that is "So?" Does any man or woman (and yes I would feel the same if genders were reversed) have the right to take a human life, because that human is imperfect? Seriously? If SW was a bank-robbing, tax-evading, kleptomaniac with a mean attitude and a smart mouth, does that warrant the death penalty?
Ask yourself....if your son or daughter talked smack about their spouse, or spent a lot of money, or was caught up in MLM....and their spouse became fed-up with it all, and murdered them, would you say "Well, i won't excuse it, but it is certainly understandable." Of course not! There is no excuse! SW is someone's daughter...someone's sister...and was someone's mother (THREE someones). It is not understandable that she was killed, any more than it would be if you or if I were killed, regardless of our annoying behaviors and human foibles.
A very important part of adulting is being able to control our reactions, and to walk away from potentially combustible situations.

And a bonus thought/question.
What is it about certain women who want to come to the defense of every cheating, lying, violent slimy man out there, who has good teeth or muscles or any iota of good looks? As a fellow member of the female gender, just why?? What is lacking in you, that you had rather align yourself with a man like that, than with his wife, with whatever issues she may have? Would you be as forgiving of YOUR husband, if he was cheating and lying and killed (at the very least) YOUR unborn baby? Just something to think about.

I like you. You seem like my kind of people.

Court documents say SW was killed on the 13th and the girls were killed on the 12th or the 13th which aligns with some articles that investigators think the girls might have been killed first which makes sense according to the Newsweek Family Annilators article I posted.

The family was financially over extended and flooded with debt which is a factor in Family Annilation. Perhaps while SW was away new credit card bills/charges arrived in the mail and maybe even a judgement, it overwhelmed him and pushed him over the edge and he went whacko. He could have put the girls in the oil tanks on the 12th and knew SW was not going to fit therefore killed her when she got home put her body in the back seat of the truck at 5am along with tools shovel etc. half truths.

Perhaps SW flipped out when she got home not finding the girls freaked out ripped off all the bedding looking for them out of sheer panic. Thinking they were hiding like the doll. CW got her from behind choked her then loaded her up. I think he did take the girls to the oil tanks the day prior on the 12th already knew he was going to bury SW after she got home.
What you describe makes a lot of sense. It would have been much easier to kill them and get rid of the bodies before she got home. It would also explain how he had enough time to get rid of her body after 5:27 am, as it must have been getting light by the time he finished. Jmo

or someone from LE suggested to ask that specific question?
I'm not a rude person, but I would be pretty upset if my family is missing and the reporter are asking/commenting on my clothes.

I noticed a huge contrast on the few words (um um ) when the reporter mentioned SW was pregnant versus the chatty details of SW bought it on Amazon and the fact he liked that kind of shirts. Little bits and odds that I picked from the interviews...
Wasn't he asked twice if SW was pregnant? And both times gave that. Um Um crap? At that specific moment a real, loving, parent would look particularly stricken that the new baby might be in trouble.

Yes, all this happened, the strangling of one child, the active strangling of another, him looking at the monitor (with 8 seconds between screens) in the time that he stepped out of the room for a 'moment'.
Maybe poor Bella and CeCe didn't need much squeezing pressure from him and died very quickly. He did it, so he knows. Therefore he said stepped out for a 'moment'.

The sunrise shows 6:10 am that morning, so it was actually getting light about the time he arrived at the site. He may have planned to do it in the dark, but that dang flight delay...

Jumping off this post, I found something very interesting while watching the Today Show video, which aired when the media and public still believed SW and the girls were missing. Pregnant woman, 2 daughters reported missing in Colorado
  • At 1:14 a trash container is visible on the curb directly in front of SW/CW’s home. Similar trash containers can be seen in front of homes of neighbors up and down the street. Trash Day for Frederick residents West of I-25 would have been Tuesday, as noted by kizzykat in Thread #15, Post #416.
  • It appears the trash for this neighborhood has not yet been collected at the time of the video shot, as the neighbor’s trash container is seen overflowing with trash. According to the Frederick Garbage webpage, trash is to be placed outside no later than 0700.
  • Questions: Is there any reason to believe this trash container is not SW/CW's? Who could have placed the container in front of the SW/CW residence for collection? What could the contents of the trash container have been? Could anything have been removed from the trash container, by either CW, LE, or both prior to trash collection on this day?
Here’s another view of the same shot in front of the house, from a different Today Show video that aired post-confession. This video (at 1:42) uses the same shot as the one above, except you can get a better view without having the headline banner obstruction at the bottom of the video. Bodies suspected of being missing pregnant mom, 2 daughters found in Colorado

Knowing what we know now, would love to see if anyone spots out anything else interesting in the first video.

JMO.

Edited to fix quote.
I did not see this, but FYI in a video taken and posted by SW on FB earlier this year during a terrible wind storm, she mentions that trash pick up on her street is around 3 to 4 pm.

It seems that CW was unable to function w/o being told what to do. He just seems so inept.

Yes, he had a job and wife & kids, but he really seemed checked out, like from birth? Like maybe robotic.

Of course he didn't do well after the murders bc no one was there to guide him, remind him, tell him what to do.

Is it just me? How could he function in this world without Shannan leading, helping, praising , coaxing and telling him what to do?
I think he couldn't.

I believe he murdered pregnant Shannan & both girls. I'm at a loss as to why or what could have provoked him to do something like this on his own. But, I believe he struggled to cover up something about himself that he was very, very ashamed of. And maybe that something came out?

Chris is a born follower, never a leader. I just (sometimes) think that something broke in his mind that set off this horrific chain of events.
He did something that broke the moral reflection? in how he viewed himself. And how he thinks others will view him. He just seems like a great big blob of self-shame.

Curious about his relationships with adults when he was a child.

And. There is no excuse for what he has done. And to put those babies in crude oil tanks? He had already released whatever love and affection he had for them. He had to cover up evidence that showed what he had done. To his 3 & 4 year old daughters. He is just disposing of evidence, not children.

Shannan? His afterthought. Her again? She was , at this time, nothing to him. Just a wrinkle to iron out. No way was he covering for her killing her own babies. At this point he could not have cared less about her as a wife, mother of his children, woman or human. She's Just a speed bump.

I may change my mind as to the whys of these murders, but I won't change my mind about who committed the murders and attempted to dispose of their bodies like trash.

MOO

Edit: my proofreading stinks

Well said! I agree. And let's not forget Nico...

Which would explain why he told the first officer the talk was at 5:00, but then told the second one it was actually 4: 00 am. He realized that would not be enough time. Jmo

The VI thought that response was due to if his AP was watching and not wanting her to know.

I think there is a significant story behind that stepped out for a moment. I think he said went downstairs for a moment. To get what?

I've always thought he might have seen a vehicle spraying dust, and coming along that road, which is why he got rid of SW in such a faulty manner. It could have been past 7 by that time. It also could have been the reason that some co-worker may have remembered seeing him.

I wonder how much that plays a role. Could it be similar to what Scott Peterson's goal was, to start over with someone else? We haven't heard much about that relationship so I guess it's too soon to know. But the assumption that he would be conscious of what she would think leads one to wonder.... jmo
