Gushy? Unhappy? I think it's more likely because he'd already made up his mind that he was going to murder them all ... premeditation. This won't look good in court.

Men murder their pregnant wives/girlfriends when they don't want the baby. Factor in financial stress, family illness, marital problems, juggling multiple affairs/hookups with both genders and you have a powderkeg ready to blow.

I'm not good at doing a "quote train" like some of you are.. lol, but several posts here brought something to my mind. CW & SW met in a rather low point in her life (maybe his too, who knows). It seems in the last couple years she has started to feel better. When couples meet at whatever point in their lives & things change, sometimes that changes their relationships. For example drug abuse. If one or both in the relationship meet during the drug abuse & one or both get clean, it can have an impact on their future relationship. Another example; weight loss. If they meet at a time when both need to change their eating habits & then do & one or both lose a significant amount of weight, it can change the dynamics of their relationship. The bond (whatever that may have been) in the beginning, when that is somehow changed (even if it's for the greater good), can cause the couple to grow apart. Not saying any of this is true for CW & SW, but IMOO, it could have been.

**disclaimer** I am not at all saying that CW & SW were abusing, or ever abused drugs. I was just using that scenario as an example.

We have a VI who hasn't defended SW's behavior and actions prior to the murders, but nobody has come forward with any negative thoughts towards CW's character prior to this. This alone makes me question everyone and everything. People don't typically just snap and kill their whole family without any warning signs. There has to be way more to this than CW wanting out to have a fresh start with his AP party. jmo

This is what the studies posted here by our verified attorney G have said. I do not recall anyone saying a bad word about Scott Peterson prior to the murder. Even Lacy's family zealously defended him until the evidence started stacking up and the crazy affair came out (where he was calling her to claim he was in Europe kicking off the new year when he was really at Lacy's vigil). One anonymous person does not a case make, IMO. But the evidence we know makes, as the great verified attorney G says, an "avalanche" of proof.

And even if that it’s the case, what does it have to do with being brutally murdered by her husband? Is it because you are trying to rationalize the behaviour of the murderer? To try to paint him as a victim? A weak fella who had no say in his marriage and just ‘exploded’ because of the stress.
What if we just stick to facts and leave our active imagination and projection of our inner fears out of the picture?

We don't yet have any evidence that they were in dire financial straights again. An HOA claim for under $2k is not evidence of needing to foreclose a house...its evidence they had a dispute with their HOA, IMO. Now, they very well could have been in financial straights, but I have not seen evidence to support that yet.

I saw these two videos last night.

The first video shows the back of the Watts house and was shot recently.
It's a moot point now, because CW isn't claiming someone took his family via the back anymore. However, it does show homes built ver close behind them their house. Perhaps they heard something or had security cameras. The back fence is very low. You can see how close the neigboring homes are by seeing the fence bewteen them and the neighbor's sprinkler going.

I have revised the floorplan to include the back stair off the deck and moved the BBQ grill. @PommyMommy supplied the flipped floorplans of their model and I revised the titles. I'm still not sure if I got the girls' bedrooms right. Let me know if I need to revise anything else.

The second video is Ashleigh Banfield's interview with CW's roommate in NC.
They both worked at the same car dealership and attended the NASCAR school at the same time.

I think her family and friends were and are extremely proud of SW and her girls, IMO. I imagine they want to believe her life had meaning and can be an inspiration to others. They have slogans like "Shine like Shanann." My guess is that they do not think there is anything to hide and much to be proud of...I can understand not wanting to shrink back under the weight of unfounded societal pressures...as how does anything ever change if we need to be ashamed or embarrassed by what most people find to be a loving, vibrant, caring mother and wife? Just my $.02.

Please allow me to elaborate on my original post as it seems to have been a problem for me and others.
I agree her FB page is a source of pride and love and remembrance for many people. However in light of this heinous murder and enormous interest in the case, to me it feels disrespectful to the victims memory by allowing everyone and anybody to be able to dissect, interpret, criticize and place blame on the dead. They are no longer here to be able to defend themselves, so protect the sanctity of their lives and their memory from those who did not know them or love them. That’s all I was trying to say.

Henri van Breda did exactly that. At approx. 3 a.m. he got an axe and killed both parents, his brother and mortally wounded his sister.

I’m definitely not saying that the demise of her marriage would/did not make her sad. It would be truly bizarre if she wasn’t feeling most or all of the emotions you suggest. But I do think her previous life experience would tell her there is light at the end of even the darkest tunnel.

What’s the silly NG trope? About knowing a horse by its track record? It seems to me that when SW experienced major troubles in her life, she had a track record of getting up off the mat and pulling it back together. I believe three babies would be even bigger motivation to do it again. Jmo.
