I have never seen any indication of any Vi attacking SW. I respect all the insight anyone close to them has and welcome them on here
It wasn’t exactly positive, and it was very one sided. This was different from the VI’s who were closer to Shanann, who reserved judgement on CW.

My point was that these people can provide color and clarity, but don’t change the facts. They could also be biased based on their proximity to the victim or suspect.

They should not change our view as to who is the victim, and who is the killer, as facts are facts, and anecdotes are not.

They felt safe enough to have him in their house and if you listen to the interview which I can provide link they were extremely surprised. Nick Thayer even ran with them , they had holidays together . I thought the question was related to signs of character beforehand imo

Right. But that evening, he showed his true colors, IMO. The Thayers were brainstorming ways to find his missing family, trying to figure out where they might have gone, and how to search for them.

And while they were urgently planning how to find them, he showed total disinterest. He was ambivalent about searching and brainstorming. Of course, now we know that's because he had already disposed of them.

But if he is telling the truth about what really happened, wouldn't they have expected to see a grieving, broken man? Because they described a man who was focused on his cell and very interested in what others were thinking about his interviews. And he wanted Pizza. They didn't see a inconsolable, suffering man who had just buried his family.

SW had no will?! All people (especially with kids) need ... last will and testament, living will, healthcare proxy, POA, etc. Ugh, what a mess. I have the feeling it’s going to get messier. :(
@sun16 Do you have a link regarding SW having no will or last testament? Would CW still legally be entitled to proceeds et al of the home/estate or does the "Slayer Rule" come into play?

Just jumping off your post...

I'll bet it was really uncomfy for him being in that home alone. No more chatty wife, no more giggling girls running around. No more anything. Just quiet.

Gotta wonder tho, isn't that what he wanted after all?
I suspect his problem with staying in the house was not the lack of them there but the constant reminders everywhere of what he did to them. IMO.

I am not seeing they gave indications of past negative behavior on these . It was my interpretation they were speaking of post events and finding out his confession . Do both of them sell LeVel? If so that also would imo put them in a bad light choosing anything positive bc of all those relationships . I felt sad for them

I thought they were just neighbors. Who said they sold LeVel?

Kids can qualify for medicaid in most states even in middle-income households.

Yup. It's a fair point to consider but given where they lived I doubt it played a part in their decisions.

No I don’t have a link. It was on CNN HLN tonight, and the papers have been filed re: no will. And the urgent call that needs to take place. It’s all about the money. I have no idea what he can get. Hence probably the scramble to stop him from getting money.

The family sure as hell doesn’t want him to use any proceeds for his defense.

EWW

AB just said that CW as well as Shanann’s family, may have to speak on the phone during the telephone probate hearing, to deal with their assets.

Edited to clarify that it’s not CW’s family, but he himself.

ugghhh...that is horrible. Cant probate attorneys hash this out without her family having to speak to this guy?

That's what I was wondering. Sounds odd to me.

Thank you for confirming the timing. This was the first thing I’ve seen that convinced me of their financial distress. What I didn’t see were any notices of Public Sale. Perhaps they were abiding by the plan they worked out in Court for awhile. People are saying their payment was near 3000. Part of that could be their repayment plans in settling their debts.

You’re welcome. I did a lot of research into this at the beginning & agree with you. I believe this is also why they were not paying HOA dues.

Are these like debit or savings cards: you put money into them, and then can withdraw this amount, when you choose.

They are called secured credit cards. You use just as you would any other credit card.

I’m sure they can. IMO AB likes to focus on the most sensational scenarios.

<modsnip - do not tag the member whose post you are quoting> I don't think it is going to be complicated as that to stop CW from inheriting assets from the estate based on the "Slayer Rule". Basically because CW killed SW, "slayer" being CW, would be treated as though he had predeceased the person who had been murdered, therefore his share of the estate would pass to her issue. Hence, why SW's family currently have access to their home and likely moving forward to ready the home for sale.

I reread the order as to the autopsy report. The defense was given two days after the report was delivered to them to respond to the state's motion.

So in two days or so we will likely see whether they want it sealed or not.

The state has the opportunity to reply to that five days after delivery of the report to the defense or three days after the response.

The court will then make a decision without a hearing. There's no timetable on the decision in the order.

However, the court at the time of the order was unaware of any CORA requests. There should be an option for the media to file responses as well.

One thing that stood out to me during the interview with the roommate from NASCAR tech school was when he mentioned how HLN/AB "found him". It sounded sort of accidental. I think they were looking for some other person with the same name and ran across him by happenstance (I don't fully recall). What that indicated to me was that the media is actively looking for CW's friends and having a hard time finding them. I fully understand that some of them probably want nothing to do with this story, but it's still telling that are having to look that hard. Jmo.
I think he was the one who said CW never went out with him or his friends and that the only reason he knew him was because they were roommates. Jmo

@BabyButterfly That is an interesting observation from your hubby to assume CW was gay based on his interview/s. I am assuming that your hubby never met CW in person. I am resistant to make a judgement on a person's sexuality based on an interview because that would be stereotyping that person.

No they never met in person. It was a comment made in private to just me. I decided to share it because, as we've read, he wasn't the only one to jump to that conclusion.

So what was his basis ?
