I disagree because the facts we already know prove CW didn't come up with a good way to ensure the bodies were not easy to find. He took them in his work vehicle to his place of work and LE had a drone in the air by day three. That's hardly a well-thought-out plan, imo.

It may have been a very well thought out plan, if it weren't for the 'meddling' of NUA.

If he had been able to come home after work, and set the stage better, and call around like a concerned family man, looking for them, before calling the police himself. It may have played out differently.

I don't think her use of a what is essentially a vitamin patch that seems to be okay with at least some doctors constitutes reckless disregard for her baby's health. She wasn't drinking or doing meth. As some of our other posters have pointed out, it's a bit of a long walk to ask a jury to take from Thrive patches to murder. Not to mention, every single thing we know about SW indicates she was incredibly circumspect about her health and her kids' health. In fact, she's been roundly criticized for it. Based on that, I don't believe she lied and it would have to be a proven lie to even come close to what you're suggesting. Jmo.
Are you an OB? Either SW's OB approved it or didn't approve it. Shouldn't be difficult for the defense to get the facts. JMO

And couldn't the prosecution argue that he showed the same reckless disregard for his son's health and safety when he killed his mother, and then buried them both in a shallow grave? MOO

Yes but that seems to be excused for some reason because poor fella was just in a panic over seeing his wife kill his children. It would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

Great points. As to your last one, he probably searched on YouTube for grieving family members talking to the media about their missing loved ones.

Unfortunately, he must have watched Scott Peterson’s interview with Diane Sawyer.

Oopsies!
CW is so stupid that I wouldn't be surprised if he watched a YouTube video about how long it takes strangulation to kill someone, just like Ross Harris watched that hot car video 5 days before he 'forgot' his son in a hot car. MOO

He could have cut the sheets into tiny pieces. Then he could have put them under a jacket or into a lunch box,

Was the sheet seen on the first walk through? Her purse would have been seen
It was. The bedding was found on the floor in the bedroom. When police took custody of the house, they found it in the trash. That’s bad enough, but those things disappearing completely would be even more suspicious.

What I wouldn’t pay to see the interrogation video of CW telling that insane story to LE.

I’ll bet they were completely incredulous, but wanted to let him go with it, as it locks him in to a particular narrative.

If not for the tragedy here, I’m sure those investigators would have been holding back laughter. What a dope.
Me too. Hopefully they will be played during the trial.

Oh, I’m sure they will. Good luck to the defense with that.

Yep, I'm sure he did intend to get rid of the purse, etc. He may have even intended to get rid of them in the oil tanks that morning but forgot. He had to get to work and didn't have time to go back home so I'm sure he thought he had time that day to finish up everything, hence all of the locked doors. He didn't have a chance since NA and the cops showed up. He couldn't very well do it after that. We can all question why he didn't but does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? We know she's dead. He killed her and dumped her body. He admitted to that much so if he forgot to dump her purse it's not that big of a deal now. This would have had more bearing if her body hadn't been found and he hadn't admitted to killing her and hiding her body.

That will likely be the least of the prosecution's worries if the defense is successful with proving SW lied to the public about something so serious and dangerous. Pffffft will go four counts of 1st degree murder in the minds of the jurors.

I don’t think the jury will be swayed by patches containing green tea. It’s far more likely that these patches do absolutely nothing as opposed to having some sort of health benefit.

If the jury sticks to the facts, this guy isn’t ever getting out.

Maybe i missed it somewhere in the tangle of these threads or in his confession but did he once ever say he checked his daughters' vital signs or tried CPR? I would think THAT would have fit into his confession/accusation very well. But perhaps he knew there would be no physical evidence to corroborate that?

The problem for CW is that his story, of flying into a rage and strangling his wife, THAT prevents him of ever saying he tried to save the girls.

He says SW was 'active;ly strangling' the 2nd child. Thus the child was possibly able to be revived, given medical help.

But by spending those precious several minutes, strangling his wife, and killing his unborn son, he is allowing the certain death of his 2nd daughter.

He cannot ever say that he tried to save his daughter, because his story prevents that from happening.

Nope I'm sure not. I am guessing that SW's doctor is and she was told it was okay. We have absolutely no reason to believe that she lied.

As I said in my earlier post, I have doubts that a judge will allow testimony about a conversation she had with her doctor about a supplement she was taking. It is not evidence that she killed the girls. It is not evidence that CW didn't kill the girls. That seems to be the only question in doubt here. Jmo.

I believe they will testify, absolutely. His comment reminds me of SP.

Longtime lurker, first time poster so forgive me for latching onto a comment that is sort of off topic but sort of not( I haven’t been able to find a thread that I could post this) and may be breaking the rules...

C.W. reminds me of SP not only for this house selling desire/comment but the fact that they both chose partners that they believed (and found this “fact” to be attractive) were infertile! LP believed she was due to a surgery when young IIRC and SW believed she was due to her lupus...
I believe both started distancing themselves and plotting their wives’ murders the minute the children were conceived. It just took C.W. 3 kids to get the “resentful guts” to do so...

I was about 18 when LP went missing and am now 33 and to this day that case still haunts and fascinates me, much like this one.

Also forgive my phone for putting a period between C.W.

Only a Casey Anthony jury would find this patch nonsense more important than what they have on CW, who also wore the patch. (And yes yes, I know he wasn't carrying a baby.) They better have a lot more than that.

It wasn't mentioned on his affidavit but that also doesn't mean he didn't mention it to LE. JMO

With the tight timeline, it is impossible that he could have given the 2nd child any kind of medical intervention.

I think the jury will be swayed if SW's doctor testifies he never approved the patches. That is a fact they won't ignore. JMO

Even if her doctor advised against it, which is a big if, who cares?

If she was intentionally trying to harm her baby, which is beyond a stretch, then they might make a point.

She was focused on health, not harm.

You can’t blow this issue up big enough to have any relevance.

I still don't see what that theory would have anything to do with his tale about her murdering her children. Do you think the defense is really going to accuse that company of manufacturing products that cause ppl to murder? What product prodded CW into not calling professional help to save the lives of at least some of his family?
