Good morning!

I've spend considerable time thinking about the difference in visibility of Shanann and Chris. We know a lot about her, before and after CW. We know very little either way, about him. He is not the norm. There should be school mates, co-workers, acquaintances, etc., that are unconnected enough, that LE doesn't care if they talk. But, there's not. It's almost as if, other than the crime, he doesn't exist. Even in SW's life he was more like a cardboard cut-out in the background, a prop. Other than an anonymous VI and an AP, what do we have? There may be significance in this when applied to the crime. Did he finally grow tired of being "no one", in his mind? Was husband and father not enough?

Anyway, perhaps we'll learn more from the trial.
BBM in my experience the records of the school system would be sealed. I know of a the boy had a lot of trouble with being bullied and it continued. The school system finally agreed with the mother that the principal and teacher were being against the child. He had aggressive explosive disorder. I wonder if CW could have been in a situation like that. He does seem shy and withdrawn. IMOO

Exactly! It's like the old joke about the hitchhiker asking the driver why they picked them up when they could be a serial killer. They driver responds, "What are the odds of 2 serial killers being in this car at once?"
Haaaa. I love that one!

I had a history of miscarriage and would go home to my parents for bed rest, to no avail, once the symptoms had started it was inevitable.

They had something for my daughter about 16 years ago when she had her son. It stopped the labor and she delivered at the proper time. I imagine they may have even better things now but I do not know.

I actually think he was not at all done setting the scene in the house when he let LE in...but did not have much of a choice. I am willing to bet that he in no way encouraged NAU to call LE. The best he could do was high tail it home so he could be there when they looked around and hopefully mitigate what they saw. How could he ever hope to pull off his plan if he told LE, no, you can't come in and help look for my wife and toddlers? He still had hope at this point that he could pull it off without flashing a blinking red sign at the police that he suspiciously does not want them to come into his house, IMO.

I agree. What's interesting is that with all of the very smart sleuthers here, and with all of the evidence we have seen thus far, none of us have been able to figure out CW's exact master plan with any degree of certainty. That said, I do think he planned it out and I do think he thought he would get away with it.

He says SW killed his daughters, so he ultimately strangled her to death. He then puts SW's body in a shallow grave at a location that is and was connected to him. He puts the bodies of his little girls into oil tanks at that same location, because that's how loving parents deal with their deceased children. Even if it was part of his master plan to move SW's body to another location, didn't it occur to him there would evidence her body had been there, at that location?

He then has the unmitigated gall to give three media interviews, where he puts on a real show and tells one bizarre lie after another and decides it is a good idea to talk about his t-shirt, smile, chuckle, etc.

JMO, some have perceived that SW bossed him around and tried to control him. Maybe SW had found out the hard way that he needed to be specifically told what to do and there is something wrong with his thinking, and he had very poor judgment and made horrible decisions? That's what I'm thinking because he now sits in jail, with no bail, and he's been charged with multiple, hideous felonies. Truly the worst charges possible.

And this all happened why? Because he's resentful and feeling much hatred at SW because she's trying to run the show and as far as he is concerned "this has got to stop"? We can see exactly how well CW handles things when he takes charge. It truly boggles my mind.

All JMO.

I wasn’t aware he was having an affair 6-8 months . Had I realized the amounts of rebuttal I would receive from a statement believing the marriage was in trouble and pointing out her pregnancy I would not have bothered . I felt this was one thing no matter which side you were on ,would not be so objected. As I said I am basing this on my experiences in life and everyone else on here may have done the same thing she chose to do and felt they were in a happy marriage and it was normal for them. I am not saying she was bad nor he was perfect I am stating my opinion I am not here to change anyone’s
Actually, you posted very specific things about Shanann "leaving" her doctors during a "high risk" pregnancy after her first ultrasound, telling her mother about a separation, that she came home to her husband "definitively" leaving her for another woman, and that she chose to spend time away from her husband while pregnant and that you found that "odd"

All of course IIRC.

Fantastic! I forgot all about that old joke. So spot on. Or as CW would say, on point.

I agree with this - I don't think he would survive taking the stand. It just seems like it will be difficult to put on "evidence" that SW killed the daughters without any testimony from the one and only witness to this incredible scenario. As you said, I guess it would be a lot of defense lawyers asking experts, "But *could* it be possible that...." and trying to poke holes in the prosecution's case.

It's mind boggling to me that these guys think they can just dispose of their families and take up a new life and that it will just work out. Especially with such sloppy plans. Even for purely selfish reasons - Is the risk of a life in prison really better than a divorce and having to pay some child support? Will a mistress really believe his whole family just "vanished" ?

Luckily NUA intervened so early and the neighbor's camera caught that no one else left the home. We don't get the chance to see if CW would have been crafty and been able to pull off, or just more of his bumbling, not-so-thought out ways to conceal a crime. This is a good thing that LE was called early. But would he have gone back to better bury SW body? Disposed of the phone? Sent text messages to himself supposedly from her? Unlocked house doors? Abandoned her car? Hid the purse and meds like she had left? Staged a break-in like someone could have taken them? How far was he going to take this? Or just kinda chill and think people would just be satisfied with his, "Like I don't know. They just like vanished. So earth shattering. Love these shirts. Come back if you're out there and all."

Right. And we already know a bit about his demeanor knowing exactly where his wife and girls were.

“He was just sitting there waiting for something to happen; it just didn’t seem right to me,” NUA said in an interview.

This supposed loving father was just standing around, waiting for something to happen.

Where was all his rage then?

Oh yeah, because he didn't have any. Because he likely murdered them all. And then after hiding them, reporting to work, and only after being practically forced back to his home due to LE response, he just stands around. Waiting.

If that waiting game ends up being his ultimate game plan here moving forward, my heart breaks for the family. Jmo

We don't know if he was having the affair that long, it is the latest statement according to a source close to or in the family. It may or may not be true. But I don't know how happy the marriage was, and maybe getting away from it for awhile was the best thing she could do. It sure seems that way, considering what we know now. I wish she had stayed there and never gone back. Jmo

Do you have have any evidence or inside info that Shanann did not see a doc while in NC, or that it was recommended that she needed to see one during that time and didn't?
Or anything that supports a pregnant wife should not spend time away from her husband and with her family who lives out of state for a summer vacation with her children because she is pregnant? Particularly if that husband is a lying cheater? imo

IMO, SW and her little girls may have had a few extra weeks of life because they were away from CW and were safe, with her family.

I think he's guilty of annihilating his family and I don't find it suspicious whatsoever that the state asked for the autopsy reports to be sealed. Wouldn't find it suspicious if the defense asked for them to be sealed either. The prosecution is doing their job and the defense is doing their job. Period. That is how it's supposed to work.
MOO

Exactly ... and bring forward my prior post:

Autopsy reports are generally public records in Colorado, but judges can decide to seal them under certain conditions.

Prosecutor reportedly filed the motion in an abundance of caution. In the motion filed by the prosecution on Sept 17, 2018, the People respectfully requested the Court issue an Order finding that disclosure of the contents of the coroner’s autopsy report in this case would do substantial injury to public interest thereby permitting the coroner to deny any such request made pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and C.R.S. 24-72-201 et. seq. (emphasis added).

Although the custodian of the records (i.e., coroner) bears the burden of proving that disclosure may cause such injury (Denver Post Corp. v. Univ. of Colorado, 739 P.2d 874 (Colo.App.1987). 3.), the coroner also works in cooperation with law enforcement and the prosecution-- who files the motion on behalf of the People.

The judge in the case will issue a court order on the prosecutor's initial request after the defense views the autopsy reports and responds to the motion to seal the reports from the public.

I hate to bring the health insurance up, but being in network vs out of network. Out patient, in patient are all issues with health insurance. There are different costs with all of these scenarios.

My husband got a tetanus shot. He was due. Because the doctor had not sent him, the insurance would not pay.

Insurance is not interested in your sob stories. They make the rules.
Was Sw having problems with the insurance company not paying for procedures?

We just don’t know that. Maybe, SW kicked him out, said she never wanted to see his sorry a$$ again, and he went into a rage over that! We need more information.

I was stating my opinion (IMO); I realize it is not fact.

Ventolin was the first thing used but there probably are better things now. Nothing stopped the inevitable for me.

Was it said that it was her family member as the source?
Maybe it was his family member that has known for that long and she just found about it recently.
I believe the source was her family member.

I deleted a post a few minutes ago because I thought it was stupid but now I don't.
Thrive might need to be devising a damage control plan. Has wearing a Thrive patch caused birth defects???

None reported as of today (that I can find). Nor are there any claims that those patches caused someone to commit murder.
