I believe the conversation started because we were trying to figure out why the school had not called on Monday Aug 13th to ask why the girls were not there (if indeed they were scheduled to start school that day and if indeed they did not call). There seems to be some confusion because of CW saying "next Monday" in his interview but locals are telling us all the area kindergartens started prior to Aug 20th. JMO.
I mentioned in an earlier post that CW lied about the date that Bella was supposed to start Kindegarten in the “porch tapes” with the media.
Why? Why would he lie?
Depending on what school she was to attend in the area she would have started that week, possibly even that Monday, but not the following week as he asserted. Was it to just not get into it? Was it to not call attention to the fact that she was supposed to have started or was about to start before the disappearance? If she was supposed to start would it have been easier to make sure she did not on case the school would notice her absence once enrolled? Or did he not know when she was supposed to actually start at all? Why lie about that when all schools started in their area that week?
Thank you! I used to be a teacher and typically we wouldn't call for missing the first day, because so many students transferred over the summer or moved or forgot it was the first day or we didn't provide busing the first day or whatever. However, if it was a family with whom I was already well acquainted, I might call. So I can see that either way. Idk
