There are a lot of things that bother me about this case, but one of the saddest things I've seen is people criticizing her for her "lovey-dovey" FB posts when it is clear that she was trying so hard to keep her family together. I believe she really did love CW and was doing all she could to save her marriage.

He could have walked out the door. He didn't have to kill them. :(
MOO

I agree! She had two children and another on the way. It stands to reason she would do everything in her power to try and save her marriage rather than just give up on it.

Cold, gloomy rainy night tonight here in the Frederick area. Summer is gone, and so are those warm days when the little girls played so innocently and happily.

I keep thinking about Deiter seeing all of his family his mama dead, the little girls dead...did he go up to them? Did he lick their faces? Whine? Rub up against them? Lie on them? Or did CW put him another room? Did he witness the killings?
:(

This is all really sad and depressing. I’m quite angry right now at CW.

Deiter. Poor guy.

Eta: my dogs are so sensitive they actually get upset if I’m upset, I do not even like to cry or get mad in front of them. My ex and I even had a rule not to argue in front of our little dog because it made her upset. Deiter would have known what was up, that they were all hurt and dead. Dogs are smart, can smell things..Deiter must have been as devastated as a dog can be. I know my dogs would be if I was dead in the house. They wouldn’t want to leave my side.

:( :(

Was Deiter scared?

But at the time no one knew they were dead and dumped except him. They had been "missing" less than a day so why bring up something that's not supposed to happen for 6 or 7 days from now. He KNEW Bella wasn't coming back but he wasn't supposed to know that.

Chris Watts: "Yeah, cause Bella was gonna start kindergarten next… next Monday and they… they were just getting ready to start, start back again."

Yes. That interview was on a Tuesday. If school started the day before, he would have said "yesterday" and if it was to be the following Monday, his daughter had only been missing 24 hours so the "was" is far too past tense.

An honest reply would have been something like, "she's going to start kindergarten next Monday" as if he was still expecting her to come home. JMO.

Oh poor Dieter. I’m going to try and focus on the good news that he at least came out of this alive! and I hope he is happy in his new home! Love.

Deleted by me. I got the wrong day.

God bless Jacob. And Jessica. And Shanann and Bella and Cece and Nico. And all of them who were taken too soon. :(

Eh, you can speak for me on that anyway. I get it.
And me, as well. I totally believe that CW killed them all. Any news on the autopsy results? I'm thinking those will clear up a LOT of confusion.

Yes you are right sun16...omg it would also been so awful if he would have killed Deiter too :(

I’m going to meditate on this. That he is well and with a new family and doggie sister/brother.

We are still waiting on the autopsy results. The media wants them released, and the law is in favor of release. It’s going to be up to the judge.

It takes a lot to pull off an affair in a situation like that IMO. Lots of lies and manipulation. Especially with a pregnant wife

Actually, when I was pregnant I was more relaxed and amenable to lies. I was more concerned with the babies to be and was duped more than I’ve ever been at any other time. I was happiest, most optimistic and most malleable when pregnant and though no two women (or pregnancies are alike) it can be a time when we prefer protective bubbles, in spite of what everyone else can see.

I honestly think this guy expected and fully believed he would be taken at his word for everything he said, by everyone he spoke to or with.

I think he thought he would be believed when he said they simply "left". I think that's why he gave up early on that they had an "emotional conversation". And I think he never imagined that media would even get involved, or that if they did, it would be on a small, local level, and would blow over within a couple of days.

I think that LE let him talk to the media obviously to see what he was going to say. It was basically a recorded conversation, without them even having to prod him. And I think he is so dense, he actually thought they were buying it; that they believed him to be this poor, worried husband and father, and otherwise they would have definitely arrested him by now.

I honestly think he is just THAT self-involved and arrogant. School? Next Monday. They won't check. Where was she going that morning? Playdate. They won't check. Interview on the porch? Sure. They won't verify anything.

Thanks Chris! Prosecution is going to appreciate this.
When you state, possibly LE let him talk to media, there is a case, Laura Wallen, where there was also a murdered pregnant lady.
The LE even organised a Media interview, with the culprit, and her parents being present.
All, except the culprit, knew he was suspected of the murder, at that time.
He even, held Laura's mother's hand. YUK.
Lies, as here +++.
The suspect in Laura's case, committed suicide, days before his trial.

I’m thinking what’s good for the Prosecution is bad for the Defense, so why would the Defense go along with the Prosecution’s motion to keep those autopsies sealed? Why? Why did the Coroner agree that they should be kept sealed? What’s in them? Something worse than 3 strangulations?

I feel bad for Dieter too, but I think he's in good hands, Magz.

Weeks After The Triple Murder of Shan'ann Watts and Her Daughters, Her Dog, Dieter, Finds a New Home
“He gets a little nervous here and there because he’s not used to … my chihuahua and her attitude lol,” Rzucek wrote in a comment. “He’s starting to figure out she’s all bark and no bite. Lol I even caught them playing together last night and she usually doesn’t like ‘new’ people or pets, hell anyone but me. Haha”

Rzucek wrote that his chihuahua understands that Dieter is in mourning for his loss:

“But its like she knows he’s sad. Its amazing how animals know certain things, but they do. My dogs have not left my side ever since this happened.”

Yes, I believe most school systems have this now. Even if it is an excused absence they will robocall your house to let you know your child was absent that day. I believe the computer does it automatically after attendance is taken. But maybe some smaller private school don't do this?

Also those calls require no action from the parents but they would ascertain that a child was absent (probably not the first week though). Also, private and charter schools are not required to do this.

Because he killed her and dumped her in a crude oil tank. :(
It was a slip of the tongue.
He is not as good at lying as he thinks. ;)
MOO
Its hard to be a good liar. Small fibs are easy (like: I'm late cuz the traffic was bad) but when you tell those big whoppers there are tell-tale signs. I could never get away with whoppers because my ears and cheeks go bright red and my mouth gets dry. I noticed CW stammered slightly when he told a whopper, rambled and looked about furtively.o_O I think he was relieved to talk about his shirt because it was NOT a lie - he really did like it. And it was his one truth in that interview.
MOO.

afaik, the defense hasn't filed any response.

No. But cramming her and her sister into a tiny opening in a tank of crude oil, is a decent indicator of how he felt about his family.

But he could confidently stand there and beg for her return after depositing her baby corpse in an oil drum when she was supposed to have begun kindergarten? He could even lie about when she was supposed to have started school and act like it was a future event than what she should have been doing while he was admiring his own shirt?

At the very moment that she was unfortunately being taken out of an oil tank, she should have been collecting feathers and drawing name tags. IMO

I have seen cases where the killer puts his bicycle in the car, drives the car and parks it, then rides the bike back home in the middle of the night.

I don't know how it happened, but you replied to one of my posts, with the end of another inserted.
Perhaps, I made some error and in an edit added the insert to the wrong post.o_O
And it is only mid day here, and mistakes made by me, BUT NOT AS MANY AS CW HAS MADE, FOR DAYS!!!:D:D:D
But yes, the bicycle idea, could have been thought of by CW.
MOO.
