Our VI @Colorado303 said Bella had attended Primrose, but was changing schools.
I think some are forgetting that neither child had been in daycare or preschool for the six weeks they were in NC. The center wouldn't keep their slot open if they had a waiting list. They charge by the week so it would make sense that Bella would start the following Monday. This is as unremarkable for me as the "grilling."

About 1:12 in the video about Bella... the reporter states to CW - ETA to add exact words: “So I read that Shanann hadn't taken the girls to school which was unusual?”... and idiot CW says: "Yeah, cuz like Bella was gonna start kindergarten next..next Monday. And they had they were just getting ready to start... start back again."

Which doesn't even correctly answer the reporter's question since it WOULD NOT BE UNUSUAL IF SW DIDN'T TAKE HER TO SCHOOL SINCE SCHOOL HADN'T STARTED YET. Maybe he was just very nervous. But I don't think the guy is all that bright.

Thanks for finding this scdiv. I just had a some new thoughts while viewing it again. What if the reason he says "Bella was gonna start kindergarten next Monday" is because he has said that or thought about it the week prior? What if it indicates he planned this crime the previous week but his plans got delayed a week? Maybe "Bella was supposed to start school next Monday" was a line he had already dreamed of saying when making his plea to the press?

Or what if something happened the week prior to the murders to change Bella's school start date? Something such as SW telling him she would be leaving and taking the girls to NC? Then the words "But Bella was gonna start kindergarten next Monday" is a line he might have actually said or thought about the week before.

Or he just has no clue what day it is, nor when Bella was going to school and he is making it all up and trying to sound convincing as he talks. :confused:o_O:rolleyes:

Yes, however CW classified 'Monday' in his interview made me assume that he meant the following Monday.

Watch it again. He says “Next” two times.

I’m not sure if he’s legit or not, but I somewhat disagree with your logic here.

In high profile crimes like this, we see all sorts of bizarre behavior from members of the public. False confessions, prank calls, and other things, that are cries for attention.

Some people want fame, and they don’t care how they get it.
Correct, I remember the Jon Benet Ramsey case and that guy John Mark Karr. False confession.

There are a lot of things that bother me about this case, but one of the saddest things I've seen is people criticizing her for her "lovey-dovey" FB posts when it is clear that she was trying so hard to keep her family together. I believe she really did love CW and was doing all she could to save her marriage.

He could have walked out the door. He didn't have to kill them. :(
MOO
Yes, really sad. She was already pregnant when she sensed something wasn't right. I can't imagine what I would have done if that happened to me. He is a good-for-nothing lowlife.

About the kindergarten- on thread #4, one of the sleuthers here said they went to a private preschool called Primrose. I don't know if they follow the same public school schedule?

Thank you, I feel silly for rehashing what @Seattle1 already posted and I appreciate the link :) And also explains what I heard CW say at one point in time.

If others are interested it's #1263

Sorry just catching up, can someone please tell me why CW talking about Bella going to school is being queried?

  • #268
I do know that SW commented on one of her posts about Bella being able to start kindergarten early even with a Dec bday because she was going to private school. If it’s the same school they went to pre-k then it was Primrose. I’ll try to find the post.

Primrose DOES have a kindergarten which is in session throughout the year. However, I understood she was going to a new school.

This states WCCO (Weld County Coroners Office) is the custodian of all 3 autopsy reports.
Thanks for posting this.

When I click on the link, it goes to the motion and then immediately goes blank...what is their basis for claiming lack of SMJ??

ETA sorry, this was meant to be directed at @Amandaaa

Next is often used to refer to the following week. My family has always used it.

Point is that no schools started the following week.

Just today someone said to me, "I'll see you at the IDT meeting next week," right after looking at the calendar. Today is the 5th, the meeting is on the 18th. Shrug

MOD NOTE

Do NOT accuse the AP (any of them) of possibly having involvement in the murders. There is no evidence that anyone but CW committed these crimes. In fact, there have been reports that the APs have been cooperating with the investigation.

Warning points and TOs WILL be issued if this speculation continues.

Forgive me, it's the end of the week and I'm tired. What is the significance of the school start date? I get he used past tense, but I forget why it matters which day. I'm not being snarky.

I believe it’s because he used Bella’s name in the past tense (she WAS supposed to start kindergarten...).

Or he started to say “she was going to start school today” and mid-sentence realized that contradicted him telling NUA they were at a play date. Thus the stammer. To me, I saw even more of a flicker in his face there than when he heard the police dogs barking inside.
Uggggg!!

I believe the conversation started because we were trying to figure out why the school had not called on Monday Aug 13th to ask why the girls were not there (if indeed they were scheduled to start school that day and if indeed they did not call). There seems to be some confusion because of CW saying "next Monday" in his interview but locals are telling us all the area kindergartens started prior to Aug 20th. JMO.

I mentioned in an earlier post that CW lied about the date that Bella was supposed to start Kindegarten in the “porch tapes” with the media.

Why? Why would he lie?

Depending on what school she was to attend in the area she would have started that week, possibly even that Monday, but not the following week as he asserted. Was it to just not get into it? Did it not coincide with previous statements he had made? Was it to not call attention to the fact that she was supposed to have started or was about to start before their disappearance—(it makes no sense for SW to take off when her daughter was about to be enrolled in a school they’d already paid for)? Did her starting school trigger more pressure?

If she was supposed to start would it have been easier to make sure she did not enroll in case the school would notice her absence once enrolled? Or did he not know when she was supposed to actually start at all? Why lie about that when all schools started in their area that week?

There is no significance, imo.
