SO much discussion re: MLM/Thrive while I was gone. No, I don’t use it or sell it but not seeing the relevance (yet).
As someone else said similar, a consumer (OR someone that signs up as a rep) has the ownus to do their research. Period.
Also, as I think about my corporate career here in the US and the standard bonus structure:
I sell $44.9M USD to clients. My new bonus structure is suddenly based in EVERYone’s “performance” in the Company yes, (a whole other topic). But, based on my generated revenue, my boss automatically gets 2%, his boss gets 5%, her boss gets 10%, etc. So a MULTI TIERED bonus structure based on generated revenue from sales and marketing. Think on that, read it again, and think on that some more. I didn’t realize this myself until all this OT talk got me to really start thinking.

The problem is there is very little research one can do about products not regulated by the FDA. But there is some research available on the 'net about Le-vel's false advertising, bad customer service, refusal to issue refunds and automatically billing for products customers did not order.

I thought the same thing when I watched the video. But On her Facebook she told someone that he initiated this pregnancy. Why would he do that if he didn't want another baby?
To keep her tied down more, pull her away from her job and her friends. That is what they do. I've read before that in couples ending up in divorce it is quite common that they will have a very young child or even the wife still being pregnant when they file. Apparently the marriage is on shaky ground and some people who do not wish to divorce give their relationship a desperate last chance and have another baby feeling it will bring them closer. It rarely does of course because all you have done is add more stress on an already broken relationship.

In this case I think something happened between him wanting her to be pregnant again and the time she became pregnant again. Clearly it did not slow down her work habits nor her trips away from home leaving him watching the kids and her off "enjoying herself". I think a person like him would resent it very much. So on one of those trips she was out of town and he may have been feeling sorry for himself, he may have sought to make a connection with some other female or the opportunity presented itself (since he has no game) and he very well may have started seeing someone on the side. With her and the kids gone for 6 weeks that made it pretty easy for him to do and get away with it. He may have come to the conclusion that that life made him happier and feel less insignificant so he started planning his way out. Or there was no other female on the side yet he felt happier with her and the kids gone and decided he rather live that way so planned his way out. Perhaps with her gone he didn't feel like such a loser or her "b*tch" which is more then likely how someone with a huge ego as he would feel under the circumstance.

I wonder what happened in the 5 weeks that he was alone at home to change his mind? The way he disposed of those children was SO obscene that he had to have hated them to do that to them.

Well, I could imagine him fuming that she was fine without him. Maybe his rage was building & building? Maybe he saw her independence and how much she loved & doted on the children as competition. HE wanted her complete attention (not uncommon for narcissists) and if she wouldn’t give it to him he was going to hurt her by hurting the kids & then her.

I really agree with your comments about familicide.

However, I think the tank the bodies were retrieved from is one attached to a well and is much smaller than the huge oil and gas storage tanks that you are describing. From my look at one of the Anadarko diagrams, I'm guessing the hatch isn't more than 5 feet off the ground. (See diagram below) He'd need a a short ladder or maybe had to stand in the bed of the pickup truck, although I think there might be a chain link fence around it. If he could get the two little girls up there, he could get SW's body up there too. Take a look at him shirtless mowing the lawn. He's been doing a lot of upper body weights. I think that dawn was already breaking when he left the house and he stashed her in a shallow grave, expecting to come back that night & place her in the tank.

HOWEVER, the report said the tank was almost full. Maybe he had all 3 bodies there at the same time but realized it was too full to put all 3 in and could only hold the smaller 2. He then elected to put SW in a nearby shallow grave he quickly dug, intending to come back at some time and place her in a different oil well tank.....

You are right - if he'd gotten her in the tank who knows if the bodies would ever have been found or identified.

This diagram is not to scale and the item to the right is a separator. This is not the same thing as a storage tank. The separator may actually be several miles away or at a processing facility. The separator usually holds many filters and it also has weirs inside of it. The name separator implies what it does. It separates dirt and contaminates so that they drop out and it also causes moisture to drop out of the gas. It is processing equipment. Its purpose is to purify the gas. Also the separator is much larger and much taller than it appears here. They come in various sizes. Some are huge and you can actually walk under them. The smallest one that I have ever seen is probably at least seven feet high. This is not a crude tank. In another thread there is a photo of the storage tanks and they are probably 20-30 ft. tall. The ladders climbing up to them are also very thin piping. If someone is going to actually work on the tank, they usually put up scaffolding. In fact, OSHA requires that.

I am assuming he did that out of fear but why put the kids in oil and not SW. I will be very surprised if there isn't another woman.

Tragic indeed. I might be reading between the lines, but is it possible her chronic health problem caused her to lower her expectations in terms of ever marrying a guy like him? JMO, but my impression was that she was continually trying to make him look more special than what he actually was. The truth is, the guy had no real ambition. He put in his shift and that was probably all he did, which is fine if one is realistic about what they will have in life. I think he had an exaggerated sense of entitlement that he should have a beautiful, ambitious and intelligent wife and a dream home he couldn't afford. I think she drove herself to extremes to try to meet his expectations. I also think her illness played a big role in the whole scheme of things for her, and for him, too, and I think she became his victim long before she ever realized it. Again, JMO.

You've voiced something about him that keeps coming back to me - lack of ambition / initiative / drive. This couple really overbought this house. Only the two of them in a brand new 5 bedroom / 3 car garage place less than a year after moving from another state. Sure, she sold her house in NC, and that was likely the down payment money And the only real salary was his at $61K which was far too low for this mortgage. Why would they overbuy this house?

So she gets a job as a part time phone attendant and brings in enough to keep things going for a bit, but not enough to continue on with after a pregnancy, student loans, and medical bills from her medical condition. He doesnt seem to have done anything extra..... no extra hours, no promotion, no education to move to another position. Sure, he didnt appear to buy a boat or luxury car or anything, but he didn't seem to have the ambition to get them out of debt - that fell to her and her peppy MLM business.

Then something changes...... he's getting attention for being buff, she's away for 6 weeks and there are some as-of-yet issues that threaten this marriage.

AWFUL AWFUL

I know everyone is all over this Thrive crap but I would hate to see the defense somehow use this as a defense for killing his family.

Just jumping off your pic...
I hope Shannan gave him a few scrapes bruises pinches and bites. Would be interesting to know if any areas on his body that we can't see are showing wounds from Shannan.

Some have noticed that his arm and hand looked injured, possibly even broken. I hope it was painfully so.

Thanks so much.... a little knowledge and Google is a stupid thing...

Can you please post something that might resemble the type of tank he would have used, that you would find associated with a small, remote oil well that wouldnt attract much attention?

Some have noticed that his arm and hand looked injured, possibly even broken. I hope it was painfully so.

In the Channel 9 video, the reported starts asking about his Carolina Tarheels jersey. He opens his arms and both right and left seem normally functional and without apparent signs of trauma as he sort of lifts up the front of his shirt, so I didnt get the idea that his arm or hands were painful or in any way injured.

He also doesnt seem to be guarding either arm or shoulder in the courtroom video

If there is a thread of decency in the SOB he will take the plea and spare her family the nightmare of a trial where they would more then likely have to testify about the validity of a comment her friend gave reporters. She stated that SW's mom confided to her that SW and CW were having problems and that SW planned to seperate from him. That only looks worse for him and the jury will remember this come sentencing time.

i kinda think she feel in love with someone - that was the emotional conversation

speculating

My hypothesis is that the tank was too full and he might risk it overflowing so he had to come up with a plan B for her body.

I think he made only one trip Monday morning, with all 3 bodies

I have to think CW was trying to dispose of all 3 bodies at the same time....

He would torture SW by showing her the dead bodies of her little girls and make her realize he was going to murder her, too.

Then he has 3 bodies and less than 2 hours of darkness to get them out of the house and hide them.
The isolated, remote oil well tank is a cunning idea.

20170516__17TCAFIRw~2.jpg

(I'd love to see if he has computer searches for hiding decomposition), and it strikes me as a premeditated, researched idea, not a sudden flash of inspiration. And he could easily scout out the most remote, most ignored one within a reasonable drive.

Then he has 3 bodies to dispose of. LE tells us that the tank was mostly full. Was it too full for all 3 bodies? Did he have to made a difficult choice in the predawn dark out there? Was it better to put the two small ones in there or her body? Tick, tick, tick the clock is ticking and dawn is coming.

So he decides to put the two small ones in there and then has to quickly dig a shallow grave nearby for SW. Did he intend to return in the dark and place her into a second oil well tank?

Hopefully we will know, soon.

This is a gas separator and not to scale. He put the girls in a crude storage tank. They are 20-30 feet tall with a tiny little rail ladder. He would have had a hard time taking her up the ladder and would have endangered himself. All three could have fit because they generally hold 20,000 - 30,000. It is confusing because different parts of the country have different % of chemicals, and types of equipment can vary also depending upon the amount of gas that is produced.

i am not sure if it MLM in general I think it is stuff we learned about this specific outlet !

No, they are all pretty awful. The products may be fine in some of the ones that sell things like essential oils or skin care, but the entire premise of them is really crappy for the bulk of the people who jump in and never make much out of it. High pressure and not much of a return for the massive majority.

"In Weld County, the return of filing charges date is an administrative court date that is held at the clerk's office," White said. "We will electronically file the charges and since the defendant is in custody, he will be served the paperwork by the Weld County Sheriff's Office in jail."

She added that Christopher Watts is scheduled to appear in court in person on Tuesday to be read his rights regarding the charges. He currently faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body, although that could change.”

Christopher Watts to be served charging documents in jail cell for Frederick slayings

if he confessed would that be in detail in the stuff that happens next week?

It would be interesting to know what time the cops actually arrived at house and what time they took him in custudy

wondering if they are saying he confessed in the house

the t shirts say ooppss we did it again ! Does not sound planned!

I'm certain there is at least one other woman that will eventually surface.

In terms of the pregnancy, he apparently made her feel it was safe to get pregnant again, from what I've read. Only a specialist can advise a woman with lupus when it is safe to become pregnant. If not planned correctly, a pregnancy can result in the death of the mother and child. Maybe the pregnancy was his initial plan?

Eww, maybe! Or he planned to kill them all prior to her getting pregnant so why would he care if she got pregnant. He just wanted his needs met.

  • #459
This makes sense.

it appears he buried her really close to the road

made me wonder if he was drunk or high seems pretty dumb to me

at that time of day someone driving by seeing you digging ?

Daily mail link says he will not be charged for fetus

WS is victim friendly and does not engage in victim blaming.

Yes, Shanann apparently had lupus and a busy lifestyle. Her medical condition and lifestyle however are not responsible for CW murdering her and her 2 children and unborn baby.

Thank you! Thank you!

What has happened to our society??
When a beautiful woman with a positive attitude gets 'bashed' about smiling & thankful, uplifting messages on her Facebook & Instagram?!
I made it past the #3 thread - gritting my teeth - only got a few pages into #4!!! Couldn't take it any more!! Logged in just to comment about this very thing & your post was the first I saw. ♡♡♡ THANK YOU!
